The Crew Motorfest is a game that I want to check out but I'm currently busy with Mortal Kombat 1 and then we have Spider-Man 2 next month. Not to mention Ubisoft games tend to go on sale quickly so that gives me motive to be patient and focus on what I'm currently playing. The earliest I see myself picking this up is Black Friday.
I am loving the game so far it has done the impossible and and kept me away from Forza Horizon 5 I am glad they have improved the plane handling from The Crew 2
I'm 4 hours into the game on XSX. Car handling around corners is not good. The steering action doesn't feel right. Rather than a smooth turning progression around bends, it works by impulse (all or nothing), which makes the car go from "turn" to "go straight" and back to "turn" again, with no in-between, creating a small zigzag effect. In tight corners, because of this, cars have a tendency to snap into oversteer without warning as you turn more and move towards the apex. You need to correct this behaviour a bit too often. So, the interaction with a standard controller kind of sucks. Maybe it's better on a wheel. This reminds me of the poor steering mechanics in the old racing games. To me this really detracts from a fun and inmersive racing experience. Handling is everything. Didn't stop me from easily winning all the races from 3 playlists and somewhat enjoying some of the Doughnut races, but it certainly hindered the feel of a nice racing experience. Compared with Forza Horizon 5, it's day and night in that respect, where car handling is top notch with a smooth and progressive conicity. The island feels kind of small, but not a deal breaker per se. Other things that irritate me a little bit: music tracks can't be skipped during a race (some tunes are really bad); the AI wont stop talking; had to turn both volumes down to 0 in the menu, which means I miss out on the few good tracks. Graphics are decent on XSX in performance mode, although colour palette is too saturated in general for my taste and too orange at dusk. I get tearing at times, which is distracting and kind of disappointing in this gen of consoles. All in all, Motorfest is average, not terrible but far from great. Car handling needs further improvement to be really fun to drive, AFAIC. I applaud Ubisoft's attempt to offer an alternative to Forza to the community but they need to raise their game in the handling department. So far it's a 6/10 for me.🎉
I don't trust anyone that gets review copies and you shouldn't either. They don't give review copies to people that are actually critical. And listening to the conclusion, irs clear he wasn't critical at all and this review was pointless.
so most reviews lol? Just because i was given a copy doesnt mean i had to give a positive review. I like the game, i think overall its a great open world racer, it has its quirks like the crew 2 did and i brought that up. And yes, i think anyone who likes games like NFS and Forza Horizon would like the game. I havent ran into any issues and have enjoyed my time with the game, so i gave it a positive review, like many people have.

Its not theres horrible ai races in free roam that are ghosts ruin all immersion as it happens like 20 times a min.
