Same. I keep telling her in not going to be that crazy, nude celebrity. She understands me but I finally got into horseback riding after a year of asking and now I found acting. I want this so bad.
It doesn’t hurt to go to college for something practical or get a job in a practical place and then keep up on acting as well. I work in the hospital and got into acting as a hobby at my huge church that has a studio productions team for their kids ministry program but now want to take it beyond that if possible. I have 5 years experience at the hospital and I know that there are always jobs in demand so if I go down to part time (to have insurance) and act in community theater and take workshops and classes locally I can make it work. And i’m not losing any money on it. So it can work to do both. Just do what you can do for the meantime and be reasonable with your parents’ requests. I didn’t realize until after working in the hospital for 5 years that it’s not creative enough and I’m not 100% happy so go for it when you’re young and have the time and availability to go to things rather than worrying about taking time off from work by requesting PTO. Haha. Good luck everyone!
For some reason my mom is more invested in my swimming career than my academics.... She'd rather I go to every single swim practice instead of letting me stay home one night and finish the ridiculous amounts of homework I've accumulated.
You should do a how to take your own headshot at home video! Because I know that a lot of people have financial difficulties and I think if you made this video it would really help people out!
thank you! this is a great video:) I really love acting, but when I have to act in front of my family, I feel so so uncomfortable. I have absolutely no problem with acting in front of strangers, but when I know there are people that I know and they know me, it's so hard for me :( do you have a tipp or an excercise that could help me?
I have told my mom i want to be an actor but she says, just keep doing acting classes and when you are in university you can do auditions but i want to start acting now. we also we live in a small town so it is about 2 hours to the next big city and she doesn't want to drive me every were and skip work. what should i do????

Téa Cousineau at least your mom supports ur dream. Not that im comparing situations but id do anything for my mom to just let me follow my dream. She wants me to be a doctor and so does my dad and go to a big fancy university in our country. Which i hate. Ive always wanted to be an actress and start a career at a very young age and take on roles of children while i still could but I have finally come to terms with the fact that that dream is long gone and will never come true. Now Im just dreaming of acting at some point. At any point. Ill do anything to do the thing I love. But serious and *painful* consequences will come out of this.
My mum was supportive when I told here I wanted to be an actor but she said that I couldn’t handle regection which I understood and she said that I could start acting when I was 14. Omg, my parents completely want me to be an actorrrr!!! I told them that I wanted to audition for stuff and my mom said "Finally! I want you to be an actor! That would be awesome, I always told you that you would be a perfect actor when you were younger." YAYAY I'm trying out for the school musical and other things! Thank you so much for all your tips and stuff you really helped me
Omg my mom won't let me be an actor because she be saying I'm gonna fail because in order to be an actor u have to be in a rich family (m pretty sure that's never true ) and she even gave me a stupid lecture all because I wanted to be an actor
Its definitely a big thing becoming an actor, but if its what you really want then calmly talk to your mom privately and explain the whole situation to her. If you can't verbally communicate with your mom, then show her. If your school has a play, audition for it! You absolutely don't have to be in a rich family. If you know who Alan Rickman is, he was born into a very poor family and had a very rough life. Charities even had to bring them food, until he found his love and passion for acting, he went to drama school on a scholarship and became one of the worlds most famous actors and could pay for everything he needed and more.
I really want to be an actor but I have only been in two TINY school-run productions, so it is hard to convince people that it is my passion. I love every minute that I get to act/perform in any way, and I can easily memorize things and I am very expressive. I just don’t know how to convince people that I am good at this/love it.
You literally said everything I was worried about! I really want to be in a Star Wars Film! But that will be awhile,it's my dream to be in it its the only thing I want!
Ella Alves omg this was 4 years ago, wow I was really cringey, anyways. I’ve gotten better at singing now, I’ve been teaching myself, and I’m getting better, still not there but it’s still a passion. :)
Ok so, I made a 20 min PowerPoint of why I should act and my mom is now looking for me and agent. Just a reminder, she was never on bored with it till now. Ahhh I’m so happy. Thank you, for this video.
Natalie Marte it doesn't have to be expensive, it all depends where you live. You could look out for free acting clubs and small plays and films if you live somewhere where there is not a lot of opportunities for acting. But if you live in a place where there are then you can go to open calls. Also the majority of agencies will not charge you until you get a job. For instance if you get a small role in a commercial and get £100 an agent might ask for 10%. Normally if they want a monthly fee they are fake. Finally would it be impossible to get a bus or a train to an audition, then your mum could go with you depending on how old you are. I hope this helps 😊
same... my mom can't drive and my dad is always busy with work... i can't even tell them i want to be an actor! they really really want me to be a doctor so i just go along with it... they always say that i'm in my bedroom watching Netflix too much but they don't know that i am actually just standing in front of the mirror reading movie scripts from my favorite movies!
This isn't really related to the video, but I want to thank you so so much for giving all of this wonderful advice. I have an audition tomorrow at my local theatre for Hairspray and I've never felt more prepared. Thank you Rachel!!! ❤️
You know what if you have a passion for it and you have confidence then go for it! Write a script and practice! Do it in front of your parents show them you have a passion! Start small then go big. Your going to have your ups and downs.. You will fail and succeed! And you can’t be shy 🙂
I've Never Been In Any Plays Or Musicals But I Did Like Acting About A Year Ago, And I Thought My Parents Would Just Laugh At Me Or Something So I Never Acted In School Plays And Turned It Down, I Just Acted In The Mirror And I Would Recreate My Favourite Scene/ Part From A Movie/ TV Show, But One Day I Thought To Myself That I Could Slowly But Surely Try And Get Them To Love Acting. I'm Thinking Of Getting In Online Classes Because I Live In Egypt And Not A Lot Of Egyptians Become BIG English Actors.
thanks so much, you dont even know how much I want to thank you. You got me my first gig. (even if im a background character). I am very close to the camera in "I didnt do it" at the smoothie shop. I LOVE YOU
I have wanted to be an actress for a long time and now that I'm in 7th grade I'm finally going to an acting summer program and it takes about one to one and a half years to get your agent depending on how good you are but my parents don't necessarily support it, they'd rather me be something else because they don't have the money anyone agree?
Kaitlynn Schauf that is the same with me I live in a state that not a lot of actress and actors come from and I already did some plays but I need a lot of stuff and my parents do not have a lot money
It’s the same with me but my dad just said that it would ‘ruin my childhood’ and I told him that I would rather do what I LOVE rather than be sad about not being able do do what I love and that not acting would ruin my childhood because all my thoughts are based around acting but he still said no so I’m going to do a summer acting camp/program and I’m going to do acting classes and community theater to show them how much I want this and I’m also joining the theater and dropping band because I don’t enjoy it
Kaitlynn Elizabeth I need help,I wanna become an actress but I have no one to help me since no one is supportive I wanna know how to act a little before telling my parents
Kaitlynn Elizabeth OMG SO ME!!! MY parents know I want to act and they say. Well we have to pay money for gas, acting classes, and costumes and everything but we do understand somethings. I know you want to be an actor. You know we don’t have enough money for all that stuff. But we just can’t afford all that...So for every Christmas and birthdays that pass. I’ll ask everyone to at least give me 13-45$ so when I am old enough I’ll be acting and give my parents the money they need. Also I’m in 8th grade and I’m fourteen so I’m getting close.
Just a quick learning tip for anyone who wants to learn more on being an actor/actress, what I do is choose my favorite actors and actresses from certain movies and i reenact their emotions from certain scenes. Crying, laughing, yelling and screaming, etc. Practice these emotions in the mirror at home and keep practicing until you reach your "emotional" goal. Study all kinds of these emotions and it'll help you explore more into learning about future characters that you might audition for and it will become easier to get into character. Hope this helps! :)
A while ago a watched this video and I was sad because my mom said no but now I am happy this video helped me a lot now my mom said yes . Thanks rachel
I know this was a few years ago. But this video was helpful. I was so scared to tell my parents because at first they support me but I felt that secretly they wanted a "normal" job for me amd I was so frustrated and now that I am 15 I finally had the guts to have a real talk. Thank you Rachel💙💚
Yasss girl! One big thing you can do to convince your parents is earn some of your own money to pay for it. It will take the pressure off of them to pay for everything, and it will show you're willing to work your booty off! Do all you can that invovles acting! I do have a question about an agent. How many credits on your resume did you have or do you suggest you need before applying to one?
My parents are strict and old fashioned too and not supportive at all. I’m only in 7th grade but want to be an actor so bad but when I told my parents that, they just said things like “You’re so shy and barely talk at school, how would you be an actor” and “Actors don’t even get paid a lot of money, only the big famous ones do.” And if I mentioned that I want to go to college for acting, THEY WOULD LITERALLY KILL ME. The worst part is th at they only want me and my sister to work in the medical care, which I REALLY DONT WANNA DO. My dream is to be an actor and I’m gonna be an actress idc what my parents want me to do cuz they can’t keep controlling me forever! It’s gonna be hard to convince them but I have hope...
I have to think about what I'm going to say over and over again, and when it comes to me wanting to tell them, I'm scared that they might think it's impossible for me to do it. :(
I have to think about what I'm going to say over and over again, and when it comes to me wanting to tell them, I'm scared that they might think it's impossible for me to do it. :(
I need this so bad right now. An agency has been calling me and wanting me to sign with them but my mom won't let me speak of them it's so horrible but thank you Rachel! You've helped me so much. Love you xx
Thanks for the really helpful tips I watch your videos all the time because I'm very interested in acting probably as much as you are this video is very helpful and I think you helped a lot of people :)
Thank you so much for making this video, and making your whole TH-cam channel!! if u never did this, then I would be nowhere, and now me and my parents are looking up auditions for stuff!! thanks so much
+Beth Hochuli I live in nz and I don't want to really tell my parents that I want to be an actress... but my mum knows I really quite like acting. Definitely do heaps of stage stuff at school. I'm 12 going 13 and school drama really helps!
My parents completely support me. They pay for my agency and for me to go to a theatre company every week. I don't think my parents have ever said that I should persue acting. My mum says that she believes that I'll make it. I'm currently the main part in a local play, my stepdad very kindly takes me to and from rehearsals so yeah I guess I got lucky!
Nadia Sanane wait you have to pay for your agency?? What I've heard, you're not suppose to pay for your agency cause when you get payed for a show or a commercial etc, they get payed at the same time with you. But I may be wrong to cause I don't know your agent at all.
My parents reacted badly, but I think this is a great video nonetheless! Most parents are a lot more supportive than mine, so I think this is very great advice and I will keep trying to convince them to let me act
I love acting and wanna be an actress but my family says it’s wierd and no one in the family is an actor or actress and whenever they decline my offer I go to my room and scream ❤❤❤
This was a really helpful video! I want to become an actress but I don't think my parents really see that as an actual job,but I'll keep trying to convince them. I posted my first acting video it's a short monologue and I would love for you to check it out if you have the time, you're probably very busy but if you could check it out and give me some feedback that would be so cool.
Hey Rachel, my name is Robert. I'm 15 and I just wanted to let u know that I have benefited immensely from your videos. I'm pursuing a career in musical theatre. You have inspired me with your channel.
Thanks for the advice! :) ❤︎ I really want to have acting as a career when I get older...but I've also talked to my acting coach about acting in the future and he told me to try other things too (science, track, math, etc.) since I might find some other passions that I'd rather pursue......but then I can't devote all my time into acting if I try those new things... :( Ahh it's so difficult to know what you want to do when there's so little time~
My parents want me to wait to start acting for when I’m 18 because a lot of child actors grow up to be bad people because they are in toxic environments. It sucks cause I love singing and acting😭😭
My parents support me now but they definitely didn't before! I'm currently only going for student and small productions as that's enough for me but who knows maybe I'll end up doing something new!
my parents support me in whatever i do, they said they want me to have a good earning job and it has to be a good job, being an actor is more than a job and its a whole new family and life. and thankfully i have such amazing and supportive parents it's what i want and they want to help me, my mother and father might take a couple of days/or weeks to come around the idea but they will still support me and as the oldest child it is kind of hard and more pressure on me personally. Sorry mom, i ain't becoming a doctor, i can barley help my self when i get a paper cut :-)
I'm starting g out in community theatre my parents support me as long as I get good grades and get better with social skills and my mom says eventually I can get into big movie acting
My parents support me, but they won't drive me all over the place. And I don't live in an area with any big productions. They also won't allow me to get an agent because it's too expensive apparently.
+actingislitmylife hi I Rachel. I just wanted to know how you would normally juggle school and acting. If your acting career is taking off would you consider home schooling? love ur vids so much 😃
Love your videos, its so much fun to follow your career and watch you give great advice for aspiring actors like myself. I have a couple of questions that maybe you can answer in a QnA or something. 1. Does online courses count on a resume? Because I saw that you can buy a set of videos of Dustin Hoffman teaching acting on masterclass.com which looked interesting. 2. Whats the difference between a manager and an agent? Thank you for reading this, have a good day!
I’m so, so nervous about really telling my mum about acting. I have told her but she didn’t really seem all that interested. I do this pantermine every year and I LOVE it and I REALLY want to be in some movies and films. I also told my grandmothers and they laughed and smiled at each other. I really need a confidence boost to tell my mum but I’m so scared that she might just laugh and put her foot down, and I would stand up to her because in to shy with everyone. But it is my dream to be an actor and I have seen so many movies and have been really inspired. Thanks and I will try your advice. 😊
I have wanted to act for so long! I have/had so many questions about acting, and you're videos had all the answers. There was recently auditions in boston, but i was not able to go because my parents said " if you get the role, there is a chance you would have to film it somewhere hours away from home! " can you make a video on how to convince you're parents to let you audition?!?
I’m nervous to tell my parents that I want to become an actress in Toronto but I’ve wanted to do this my whole life (but I’m a kid so that’s only like 13 years). I think that they’ll laugh at me or that they won’t believe me but I truly think I’m missing something in my life and that is acting. I’ve only performed for myself and my friends so I don’t know what to do. Can you help?
Ik it’s been 4 years but now I’m scared to ask my parents I did before but they just said actors don’t make enough money which is their way of saying they don’t want me to do it now I’m scared to ask again bc I really want to do it
My mum supports me, but she won’t let me audition for stuff until I’m able to fully understand that practise and working hard is going to be a big part of acting so I’m planning on auditioning when I turn 14 next year. This video really helped me convince my parents that this is what I want to do Thank you
I’ve always wanted to act since I was young but my mother hates it. I cry sometimes knowing they would never let me... So I pretended to want to be a pilot. Yes being a pilot is cool and I like it but I want to act. My mom says that actor and actresses are treated poorly and they get spoiled on money. I tried to hint it to my mom but she doesn’t care. She said “I’ll never let you be an actress.” Thanks for reading this all but I’m sure my story doesn’t surprise you
but its your future shes ruining you need to be able to do what you want. i hope you are making your dream come true and actors wont really get paid that much unless you are a lead role in a very popular movie. i really hope you can make your dream come true. IM ROOTING FOR YOU !!!!!!
I did piano in primary school for half a year, then I quit playing it. Now in high school I’m doing piano lessons again for nearly a year. I asked my mum if I could do vocal lessons next year and she said yes, but now I’m a bit reluctant to ask her to pay more and give up her time just so I could be happy with if acting.(That’s a little selfish) Plus, I might not enjoy the acting classes... I’m a bit stuck right now
This video was so helpful! For the Q&A was their a certain actor or film that made you want to become an actress? Mine was Bailee Madison from ' just go with it' xxxxx
Thank you so much for this:) My parents want me to go to school but I really absolutely love acting an i can relate to this video SOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!
+Beauty Lover225 Well some workshops are different, it definitely depends on the acting coach. But if it's a legit workshop or class, most of the time you will receive a script to practice and perform, maybe do some improv(My favorite part) and they are a lot of fun!! Hopefully the person running the class(Like I said, usually an acting coach or industry professional) knows what they're talking about! Make sure to ask them lots of questions!
My parents didn't want me to be an actor either when I first told them that's what I wanted in jr.high through high school. I just had to show them I REALLY WAS passionate about the craft by continuing to find acting opportunities on my own. Senior year rolled around and they still didn't want me to pursue acting as a career. I thanked them for the offer of sending me to college for business, but had my money I earned at work saved up to move me to LA and begin my acting pursuit. Needless to say they didn't want me doing that alone, so they allowed me to major in acting LOL! Now I'm a junior in college and I have an agent and my parents now support my acting completely since they know it's what I really love and can do well. It just takes time!! Hang in there, all!
+The G Show I've done some independent movies for film festivals, yes! I won't graduate until next year, then I can make the move to LA and start auditioning for bigger films. Until then I just get paid by doing mostly commercials lol
I’m in the progress of telling her I basically said that I want to do something with acting. She signed me up for classes. She already knew that I loved theater since I did the school play but she didn’t know that I want to take it to the next level. I think I’m going ask her now because my mom knows I love it
I've always wanted to be an actor inspired from the Stranger things cast they are so young , so im trying to convice my mom and dad amd i hope this helps
I was quite shy before this year, then one day I said to myself, "I don't want to be shy anymore." It is still hard for me, but I am glad I thought about it. My class is having a play that we will be performing in front of the whole school, and I am the lead in one of them (out of four). I am glad, I got it, it's really fun! The only thing I'm really deciding is that my friend wants me to be in a musical that happens every summer that shes always in, but I have to sing in front of them, and I'm not sure. My mom says I'm a good singer, but I don't know! Please help =)
I really want to do acting, perhaps even on television, but what advice would you give to people who don't want to compromise their beliefs to get a role. Example: cussing, sex scenes, ect.
Can you make a video of "how to convince your parents to let you go to an audition" or "to be an actress being under 18 please? :)
Please do the first one before 6th of April 2018
Lucia G that would be amazing
Agreed
YEEESSS
She has.
If you find it awkward to just tell them you want to be an actor, try to find a community theatre, and ask them if you can audition.
My mom does not want me to be an actress but it's what I love!
Arden McKee same😩
Same. I keep telling her in not going to be that crazy, nude celebrity. She understands me but I finally got into horseback riding after a year of asking and now I found acting. I want this so bad.
Me too...
Arden McKee same with me
Arden McKee mine too
My parents support me in community theatre and such, but they don't think it's a good career and they want me to be an engineer.
Tell me about it...
+Mena Aboushabnana tell him that acting is a carer
yes me too
me too! They say how the chances of being a successful actor is so low and requires so much luck...and I agree but it's the only thing I'm good at!
It doesn’t hurt to go to college for something practical or get a job in a practical place and then keep up on acting as well. All my mom cares about is that I do school and do what she wants me to do as a job but this video definitely helped and I'll give it a shot!
Same

oh my goodness that is an amazing idea!!!!!! racel please put this on your to do list because i would love that
Yesssss!
That's an awesome idea
Dylan Dial get a Polaroid 😄😄
I agree, it'd help me a lot!
thank you! this is a great video:) I really love acting, but when I have to act in front of my family, I feel so so uncomfortable. I have absolutely no problem with acting in front of strangers, but when I know there are people that I know and they know me, it's so hard for me :( do you have a tipp or an excercise that could help me?
Yess, every single time. Especially when it's in a theatre. Every day is perfect until the day my parents come to see me. It's so nerve racking
that happens with me aswell
Omg same! My mom always tells me to act but I just can't cause my siblings uncle and dad also come to see so I just can't
Yes and it's not that my parents don't support me, they do but it's just seems scary performing in front of them
I am the exact same! it's weird
I have told my mom i want to be an actor but she says, just keep doing acting classes and when you are in university you can do auditions but i want to start acting now. we also we live in a small town so it is about 2 hours to the next big city and she doesn't want to drive me every were and skip work. what should i do????

At least in holidays or vacation when there is now work

Try looking on Backstage to see if there are auditions near you.
I needed this so bad!!! Thank you so so much Rachel!!
+Maddie Bullock Aw yay thanks for watching! (:
My mum was supportive when I told here I wanted to be an actor but she said that I couldn’t handle regection which I understood and she said that I could start acting when I was 14. Bruh_Itz_ Phoenix You're so lucky to have that supportive parents. I'm really jealous of you. 😩

Thats what my parents said!! Except not the rich thing
awsomepilot65 same with my mom. I don't live with her and my dad supports me.just moving is th problem
A little late, but that's not true! Do you know Millie Bobby Brown? Her parents were struggling. You can look it up if you want ;)
Julia Dio yeah they were so poor that they had to ask millie's manager to borrow some money
my parents dont believe in me on acting they cant pay for classes if u care thanks for your support i hope u have a good day and life forever.
Teanna Stohs same with me.and even though it MIGHT not work out for me.i hope it does for u stranger
I really want to be an actor but I have only been in two TINY school-run productions, so it is hard to convince people that it is my passion. WHAT?!
You literally said everything I was worried about! I really want to be in a Star Wars Film! But that will be awhile,it's my dream to be in it its the only thing I want!
I have audition for a play but I didn't get the part cause I can't sing. :(
Acacia Hooley everyone can sing! you just need to find your voice! try to get a voice teacher!
Ella Alves omg this was 4 years ago, wow I was really cringey, anyways. I’ve gotten better at singing now, I’ve been teaching myself, and I’m getting better, still not there but it’s still a passion. :)

Well I have no one who can take me to auditions and stuff. My mom can't drive and my dad is always working.
and everything is really expensive and we just don't have that kind of money :(
+Natalie Marte I'm the same way
Natalie Marte it doesn't have to be expensive, it all depends where you live.
Uber, Lyft, any driving thing
This isn't really related to the video, but I want to thank you so so much for giving all of this wonderful advice. I have an audition tomorrow at my local theatre for Hairspray and I've never felt more prepared. Thank you Rachel!!! ❤️
This is my dream, I am not giving up on it, like if you love acting!
I'm so happy you made this you always make me happy, I recently didn't make it into a play and I was so sad I didn't but you instantly lifted me up
+Valentina Marin Aw that means so much to me, so glad to hear that! Thanks for watching
Kaitlynn Schauf that is the same with me I live in a state that not a lot of actress and actors come from and I already did some plays but I need a lot of stuff and my parents do not have a lot money
simplyscar 1234 yep😞glad we have something in common
Do you need acting experience to become an extra
I don't think so.
No, I think not
+Dunja Pesic ok thanks
+xoJamilaxo ok thanks
+Jasmin Coriz Nope!
very nice hair
After hearing other people's, stories I've realized how lucky to have so much support from my parents! Thanks mum and dad xxx
My parents want me to be an actress but not a child actress because they don't think it's right for me. But I love it
My mom is probably not going to do any of these things
Little XxkymaxX thanks
Earned a sub, thanks for the helpful tips, I love acting!
A while ago a watched this video and I was sad because my mom said no but now I am happy this video helped me a lot now my mom said yes . Thanks rachel
I'm actually getting into acting classes & I'm paying for it too 😂good to know I'm not the only one lol
+Desiree Almaraz HAHA yasssss!
My mum walked in while I was watching and it helped me try to convince her!
Thank you so much for the advice! You've really helped me get an idea of the telling my family and parents that I have a passion for acting! 😭😇
did you tell them?
What workshops do you go to ?
could you do a video where you talk to you mum about how you got into acting and things based around that. x
I need this so bad right now. An agency has been calling me and wanting me to sign with them but my mom won't let me speak of them it's so horrible but thank you Rachel! You've helped me so much. Love you xx
Update.. My mom finally agreed and I have an interview this weekend!! Thank you Rachel!!
+caiticupcake101 Oh My Lord Congrats :)
Thanks for the really helpful tips I watch your videos all the time because I'm very interested in acting probably as much as you are this video is very helpful and I think you helped a lot of people :)
Thank you so much for making this video, and making your whole TH-cam channel!! if u never did this, then I would be nowhere, and now me and my parents are looking up auditions for stuff!! thanks so much
Can you talk about modeling because I really want to do modeling but I don't know how to
Yes I would like that too! :)
+Angkhana Hofman are you a model?
+Cheer girl corner no but i would like to be one, are you?
+Angkhana Hofman no because I can't find a agency or class
+Cheer girl corner haha me too
This video really stuck out to me because that is exactly how I feel. And do you mind doing another one of videos plz. Thx
My mom said "Do something of what you love" so I tried acting/theater at school! And I was kinda successful :D
You're amazing! I love your videos you have inspired me! Just need to find the auditions now! 🙂🙂
Hey Rachel, my name is Robert. I'm 15 and I just wanted to let u know that I have benefited immensely from your videos. I'm pursuing a career in musical theatre. You have inspired me with your channel.
i’m going to tell my parents about the fact that i wanna do acting. thanks to you, and a friend, this really helped calmed down my nerves.
Thank you so much for making this! It's going to help me so much with my acting!!
ThatRandomGal Legit agents shouldn't be asking you to pay for anything. Hope this helped☺
Thank i love this video!!! Thank you so much for all the help!
+Karbear Thanks for watching!! (:
Thank you so much, I've been trying to figure out how to ask my parents to get in to acting forever!
Thank you so much ! I' m french. You're not helping people with dreams just in the USA but accross the Atlantique !
When I ask my parents they think that I'm just havinga moment
Ik it’s been 4 years but now I’m scared to ask my parents I did before but they just said actors don’t make enough money which is their way of saying they don’t want me to do it now I’m scared to ask again bc I really want to do it
I love your videos! They're so helpful thanks xx. Also have you ever been in a film?
Thank you so much for making this video! It was really helpful!
Also, you've mentioned "cover letters" in a few videos. What are they? Thanks!
What is your most embarrassing audition you have ever had? ♥️ Love your videos BTW 😘
Rachel I live in Scotland so it's hard for me what should I do and thanks this video really helped me thank so much
My mum supports me, but she won’t let me audition for stuff until I’m able to fully understand that practise and working hard is going to be a big part of acting so I’m planning on auditioning when I turn 14 next year. This video really helped me convince my parents that this is what I want to do
Thank you
I have loved acting since 5th grade. I really want to start doing it seriously doing acting classes and workshops....... Not happening 😕👍
Thank you so much for this video! It has helped me in so many ways!
aahhh its been a long wait. but thank you Rachel this was so helpful xx
+megan connolly Thanks so much for watching!
+actingislitmylife no problem. I love this channel x
You really help me out with this i will tell my parent and convice them u really inspire me 😄
Do you know of any free AUDITIONS happening soon if so plz let me know
I love your hair in this video!! :)
+Angel Jeanty Aw thanks
I love Bailee Madison! I've seen her in a couple different things. She wasn't the first person to inspire me, but she was one of them :)
I feel that same way "girl_with_the_red_lipstick"
Thank you so much for this:) My parents want me to go to school but I really absolutely love acting an i can relate to this video SOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!
i want to become a makeup artist and stylist but my mum is not really supportive ! on the other hand she doesnt say anything! what should i do???
I have been waiting for this for ever
This video was great and I love the hair. I am interested in film acting and I am thinking about doing a workshop, can you explain what happens there?
+Beauty Lover225 Well some workshops are different, it definitely depends on the acting coach. But if it's a legit workshop or class, most of the time you will receive a script to practice and perform, maybe do some improv(My favorite part) and they are a lot of fun!! Hopefully the person running the class(Like I said, usually an acting coach or industry professional) knows what they're talking about! Make sure to ask them lots of questions!
Thank you so much
I love your tips!! On March 8th im auditioning for a play at my local theater!! Have any tips to calm my self and not get nervous?!❤️😂
Are you in any movies?
+The G Show I've done some independent movies for film festivals, yes! I won't graduate until next year, then I can make the move to LA and start auditioning for bigger films. Until then I just get paid by doing mostly commercials lol
I’m in the progress of telling her I basically said that I want to do something with acting. She signed me up for classes. She already knew that I loved theater since I did the school play but she didn’t know that I want to take it to the next level. I think I’m going ask her now because my mom knows I love it
Rachel do you have to get an acting agency in the town you live? Honestly the town I live in has a ratio of like 6:1 modeling agents to acting agents
I've always wanted to be an actor inspired from the Stranger things cast they are so young , so im trying to convice my mom and dad amd i hope this helps
* Not today Satan * OMG same
what if you live in a small country town and there are no agents in the area???
Can I use my recent school picture, if it looks the same as how I look now, and if it is good quality
Thank you! To get into the business, I had to offer to pay my own headshots 🤣
same here XD still trying to convince my parents to get me an agent
I was quite shy before this year, then one day I said to myself, "I don't want to be shy anymore." It is still hard for me, but I am glad I thought about it. My class is having a play that we will be performing in front of the whole school, and I am the lead in one of them (out of four). I am glad, I got it, it's really fun! The only thing I'm really deciding is that my friend wants me to be in a musical that happens every summer that shes always in, but I have to sing in front of them, and I'm not sure. My mom says I'm a good singer, but I don't know! Please help =)
can you make a video on how to get a filming work permit
I really want to do acting, perhaps even on television, but what advice would you give to people who don't want to compromise their beliefs to get a role. Example: cussing, sex scenes, ect.
