What age did u start acting? And what was ur first like role u got? I am 12 and I have been wanting to act since I was little and I adore ur account but I don’t know where to start ! 😔
I have done theatre my whole life basically but I only started tv acting around a year-ish ago! The first official thing I got compensation for was a video I did w a TH-camr named Anthony Padilla :) Tysm for your support
I’m so scared to tell my dad because he’s my coach and everyone in my family has played sport but I don’t wanna do it anymore but I also don’t want to be the black sheep. I live in Norway too so that’s makes everything so much harder. But I still believe and my mom says if I really want to, I can do anything!
It’s lily If you can take classes (drama class maybe?) and try to get as much practice as you can, (if you haven’t already went to college) I’d recommended going to a school for acting during college. If ur mom doesn’t support your desecion and ur sure it’s something you’d like to pursue, I’d start looking at paying for your own school lol just because I don’t think you should drop your dreams for anyone. However, I think your parents are your best supporters, so I think you should have a talk with them on how you’d actually seriously like to act, I recommended being very kind while talking to them because as she said in this video if you urge them/make them mad, they will most likely less support this idea :) I wish you luck!! 💞
I would say start practicing acting at home! Look up videos because there are plenty of resources to help you out. Audition for your school’s plays and musicals, and take drama class (that’s what I’ve been doing). Honestly, practice making tiktok POV’s because that’s still practice for acting. Watch a lot of movies and shows and observe the actors (and enjoy the film ofc). Once you’re 18, you can do your own thing and start getting headshots, finding an agent, auditioning, etc. (Corey and others have videos on getting started). You don’t have to go to an acting school, but you should take acting classes or have a coach.
just let them know how passionate you are about it! It wouldn't be fair for them to hold you back on opportunities when they were able to pursue theirs
I lost my chance when there was a disney channel audition in malaysia, my mom kept questioning about that commercial audition on tv and then she told me "why don't you audition?".....but sadly you can only audition if you know malay and your from the near area and i'm from the philippines but actually my mom told me that she could pay my ticket flight but I was running out of time learning malay language😔 I just knew that my mom would support me when i'm proving her something that i'm capable of, i was planning to move to LA to improve my acting since my uncle live there but then i don't have something to prove to my mom rn, if I could just find any wordwide casting call and passed I could definetely make her proud and prove her that this was my ultime dream
I want to start acting but in my area it’s very rare to find auditions. And I really want to become an actress but sometimes I feel like I will never be able to achieve it. I also feel like it’s so complicated to even start my journey. Btw my parents both can’t really speak English, would it be fine if I had another guardian to help me on my journey or does it have to be a parent?
Hi i have some questions for you can u please answer them? if i have experience and I ended acting school but I don't have an agent and i am not from US WHAT can i do ? What can u prefer
hey I am a little confused by the question? I would say to just apply to agencies in your area but if you are talking about agents in the US for the most part you have to be here to be represented by an agent because you have to physically be able to go on auditions.
I Haven't talked to my dad about it but my mom wants to like see me in a school play because I've wanted to be an actor but people told me it would be a waste of time
well im 14 and ive done theatre for longer than i can remember, but not professionally. my parents are not supportive and won't let me be a professional actress. so i'm just gonna wait 4 years. my parents aren't my biggest supporters...i have 3 people my best friend, my middle school band director and my 8th grade english teacher... 🤷🏽♀️
This is so helpful I love your TH-cam channel bu I also had a question have you ever been nervous if yes how did you overcome it bc I want to become a actor but Ik I will bc net Ouse bc I’m new. thank you
decided to terminate the contract because they weren't really getting me auditions so I felt as if I was being held back and missing opportunities if I was still signed with them :)
hey corey, so i know it’s quarantine right now and i was wondering do you recommend online acting class? and if you do, do you have any recommendations?
hey! I think its great to do online acting classes that way you can be extra prepared for when quarantine is over :) hmm I don't have any recommendations since I just continued my acting school but if you check out DDO Kids on insta they have lives every friday and they are really informative
Hi! I’m only 12 but I finally told my parents that I want to start acting. I was surprised that they said yes :) I’m starting off by auditioning for a backup dancer at my local theatre but there’s not many acting auditions near me bc I live in scotland 🥺❤️
Hey please you answer to all the comments so pleaase answer me its important i want to ba an actress when i will be 15 im scared i saw in a website that you should be in LA is that true ? And i don’t have the money for drama class and where to live and eat and all this stuff my family didn’t want to go with me and i will be a 15 yo alone and im scared to be alone there and i should work and is it that hard to be an actor ? Do u have to do so much effort to be an actor im scared i want to cry please answer give me some advice please
hey! it is helpful to be in LA since that is where a lot of production happens but it is not always needed when you are just starting out :) I would say to just start off small with short films (this is usually what i tell everyone who doesn't live in a big city) and once you can maybe take a trip out to LA but there is no need to rush especially if ur parents say no.
hi i'm corey ty for answering, my parents said yes to me in 15 I’ll go to LA but i think i should do online class cuz im not from america and doing drama classes and finding a job so i can eat i guess cuz its all expensive , can u give me advice were i can live please somewhere not expensive
your dad's smile is literally my life goal its so genuine and happy 🤩
aww he says thank you!!

I really want to be an actor but when I tell my mom that’s what I want to do she laughs at me and thinks it’s ridiculous.
you just gotta show her your commitment to it so she can start to take you more seriously :)
