woow lovely .. wish if i were iranian ..am algerian but i don't know why i feel always that i belong to iran ... i loove iranian people they are realy kind and sweet muahhh to iran
I love this. I went to a Persian wedding several years ago and it was one of the most fun events I've ever been to. So much unity, many smiles, and pure entertainment. And well said, Lavish99! I agree with you.
It is the humility, humanity and richness of the Iranian culture that is irresistible and not replaceable. The day that west realizes and acknowledge the greatness of Persians, then we all can celebrate better humanity. It is not our Islamic or unorthodox values that irritate the “powerful” West, but is our unyielding love of the homeland and passionate adherence to Persian culture. We own our cultural values and that is the biggest gift we inherit at birth when we are born Iranian. Salute!!!!
would you guys just stop arguing over some nonsense, just enjoy the beauty of persian culture. I love this video, BEAUTIFUL, i watched it for so many times still not enuf. It shows the beauty of persian culture. I am not iranian but i am from Samarkand , Uzbekistan, which is predominantly persian speaking population, it so resembles our tradition.
Your comment just shows your intelegence by generalising all persian weddings. Every wedding is different in so many different way. In my oppinion as long as the bride and groom have a good time that is all that counts.
glad you like it. I was one at my uncles wedding. Basically it is a common and usual thing/event at any Persian Wedding. I ve never been to a Persian wedding where they havent done it
Im sure the one in the orange is the little sister! - I love the sense of fun in this! - after all surely this represents in many ways the life that lies ahead for these two!
this is beautiful. it reminds me of my mom and dad's wedding. my mom is persiand and it sounds just like it. i would talk to you in farsi but im not fluent. again this is just so beautiful (:
It's no wonder that Alexander the Great quickly became enchanted by Persian culture as he trekked and conquered his way across the East! I'm a 21-year-old American with a penchant for reading Middle East history, and Iran is one of the countries that I most want to visit. It's too bad that the nation is not very open to Westerners at this time. I simply adore the Persian culture. Perhaps someday I will be able to travel there and see the ruins of Persepolis for myself. :) Someday.
yeah that's how we do it in iran.it is done in the birthdays and weddings.mostly women come and do this dance and after a while they get a little money from the birthday boy/girl or the couple. after a while they pass it to somebody else and so on... till the song ends and give it back to the birthday boy/girl or the couple to cut the cake.
Oh, and I wanted to compliment the women in this video-- you are all absolutely gorgeous. Such beautiful dark hair and eyes! Best wishes to the bride and groom!
You know... I clicked this video to see a well-done, traditional, and pretty funny dance that'll give me a smile or two. Not all these racist/political comments that shouldn't even belong here. C'mon guys, you're better than this. Grow up and move on.
Persians the peaceful ancient peoples with a great past n civilization, actually this music n dance is similar in many ways to Greek n Cypriot wedding music Beautiful n Modest Iranian woman like no others on earth
The most beatiful wedding ceremony that I have ever seen! I hope that Globalists and the Jews do not force my country to wage war upon you! I cry. Tom David Minneapolis
I love this and been watching it for six years .I think the violin player does the job better than Bijan who wrote the music himself and the girls are beautiful and dance great . zende baad Iran
The bride in this video is absolutely gorgeous. Congrats to the groom for landing such a beautiful woman. I'm a white guy from the U.S., and I think Persian women are the most alluring, seductive women on the planet. You are a lucky man, Mr. Groom.
@Kiurfard Very nice song and custom. Iranian women are really beautiful. Thank you for you explanation. I would like to know what happens with money after the dance ends. It stays in ownership of dancing ladies?
That was very very interesting! I will have to find more information about this wedding knife dance. I have a Persian fiance, and I am trying to research information on traditional Persian weddings. :D
just wonderful ...very impressing video ...very nice music it remember me Algerian music )) ...thanks for posting ...best wishes from the Free Tunisia))
I'm just a white kid from Chicago, Illinois, but I absolutely love the music in this video. Persian culture, from music to weddings and history is just so rich. (My hobby is reading history, and I thoroughly enjoy Persian history, especially the Achaemenid dynasty of antiquity.) Is the the music played in this video a certain genre of Persian music? What is it called? I'd love to find more music like it. It's too bad Western weddings aren't this rich and vibrant in traditions and culture.
Very interesting... I do live in Europe (Romania) and I don't know many things about persians.. just the fact that they were one of the oldest civilizations on the earth. Heheh.. I like it.. I would like to know many things about your culture.. In fact... it's about a girl.. as probably you already guessed... :) Thanks for explanations. You're kind.
It is very interesting how it is the women hold the knives - In American Military weddings it is the men that hold swords..guess it is a statement who will hold the power in the house ;)) Though the groom does take the knife in the end! (yet he is kind enough to cut the cake and not push the cake it into his new wifes face - another custom we have had in the US for years) God bless and a long and happy marriage to the both of you!
Video related comment: this was a great video! Thanks for sharing :) Comment related to comments: Quite frankly I was very much offended with most of these comments and I am neither Iranian or Greek or Muslim. If we spent this much energy embracing our differences and loving each other and learning from each other and saving our earth rather than fighting and hating and killing each other then we'd be a lot better off!
That's not true! In Iran (where I lived 26 years of my life until a few years ago and my family is still living there) you're allowed to hold big and magnificent wedding ceremonies and you'll never run into problems. Inside the building or your own house, you're allowed to drink, play music, dance and have fun. I've experienced more than 100wedding ceremonies in Iran and they were all memorable and splendid. We were never executed or questioned because of fun or parties inside our homes...
God bless those two, such a great wedding. Amazing music, they look great! But poor poor guy :P hahaha. I love this tradition, of making him blut even before he really is married :P Great job ladies. Great job mr. Groom, and the bride! you look absulutely fabulous!
@satoofi93 Bulgarians originate from the region of Pamir. It's not today's Iran but Bulgarians and Persians are both Aryan nations and we are very similar indeed.
