Hi, there’s one thing I want to correct. When you want to pass by a pirate ship, you pay the 1 gold coin tribute to the supply, NOT to the owner of the pirate ship.
Hi, great video!! Have a question though , are you allowed to build roads on island margins? Red did a road on the sun island on hex no. 4. I remember I've read somewhere you can't build roads on the margins or might be wrong. Thanks and keep it up!
Red cheats all the time. 😄 In all seriousness though, I did have to look it up. Roads CAN be built on the edges, however they still "cheated" (we aren't very STRICT players, we play to have fun) because as I was reading I caught the blurb that does state that you can not discover new hexes with roads, they MUST be discovered with ships. I must have missed reading that blurb when we first started playing so I thank you for asking because I never would have seen that blurb otherwise. Thanks for watching!
Can I move my settler ship to a hex on the island we started on and settle? 🙌🏼
It doesn't say yes or no in the instruction booklet, so our team regularly argues about this one. Mom says so, Dad says yes! Kids agree with the person who will stop the winner. 😆 So i guess what I'm saying is, that one is up to your team as long as everyone agrees.
Thanks guys! Quick question: can I build a settlement immediately after conquering a pirate lair? Or does my term end after I conquer the lair and I have to wait next turn to build a settlement?
There is no building allowed after you start moving your ships. So normally, no you could not build the settlement. Now, that being said, if for some reason your ship was "parked" there at the beginning of your turn, you could unload crew, defeat the pirate lair and then build. As long as your ship has not moved. Wow! We came across another question! What if I want to board my ship with some crew; I’ve got a ship on the corner of one hex and it connects to another corner on another islands hex by the back of the ship. Kind of like this....
(island) 🚢 (island). Can I move my crew onto my boat and straight on to the other island without moving the boat? My boat is sandwiched in between 2 pirate lairs! Hope that makes sense!

@@boardgamerz1016 do you need to be hugged up against the land hex in order to board a settler or crew? Or can I board if my boat is touching the corner of the hex?
