Great content yet again Tiffany. Unlike a couple other Aussie adventure channels, you have kept it real without saturated sponsor content, looking forward to Part 2. Stay safe.
Loved this vid so much. The drone shots were incredible. The landscapes amazing. This trip is on my bucket list for sure!! Good stuff Tiff!!! Bring on part 2.
Great video Tiff. You make the 'trip to the tip' look easy. The Hilux looked pretty standard - no lift, big tyres or winch. Other channels make out you need a heavily modded 4x4 to 'tackle' the cape. Was great to see a couple of chicks do it in a rented base Hilux. Thanks
Superb videography in my opinion. And I agree on the coconut palms and beach as an attraction up there. A pleasure to watch your perspective on everything. Cheers, It would be rude not to. 😊
Years ago (back in the 1970's) two guys called the Leyland brothers (Mike and Mal) crossed the creek where the barge is now. Their video is online. This is highly recommended viewing for anyone attempting to 4wd to the tip.
Gday Tiffany, this really is a beautiful part of Australia, one day I will make it up there, I really appreciate you bringing us along on the journey, great video and throughly enjoyed watching, cheers
To stop the dust in the canopy, you need a vent in the top pushing air in so it pushes air out through the seals. A good seal kit on the tailgate will also help.
Nice video 🍻 Unfortunately Aussie the emu was involved in a hit and run and did not survive, will miss him sneaking up and looking over your shoulder 😪
Hey Justin, Great question! We did pass a lot of fellow travellers on the road as we went in peak season. It is very isolated if you break something and need a part shipped or car towed. we met so many people who were stranded at the road houses waiting 5 days - 14 days. In saying that though if a car is broken down people usually stop to see if they can help you in any way.
No dust got into #Smoky60Series.. they don’t make them like the used to. We had dirt to Weipa and back and then for the next few 1000 Km in 2001. Interesting to see it all again, thanks to you both…
Great content. Very scenic locations. Enjoyed every minute of it. It would be good if you can provide (via on-screen caption), the name of the locations you show or visit on your VLOGs. That way if we like what we've seen, we can do more research on them online and potentially visit. Keep the excellent content coming.👍
Tiff.......we didn't see you cross one creek/river......not even a puddle...... Do you drive a Toorak Tractor or a Double Bay off roader? Lets see some action.
Great video. What time of the year did you go and did you need to book the campsites? I'm planning a trip to the tip in 2025 on the PDR. How do I get an itinerary of where you visited and where you stayed? I'll be 67 years old then and I will be taking a friend who will be 82 years old and I won't be doing the old telegraph track. Cheers.
Great information about what to expect on a trip to the tip and in a way sub $200k rig, even sub $100k, mines probably sub $60k including a camper… looks like the fridge is the most important camping item, yeah got two of…
Thanks for the comment :) The overlander cars are such a great set up option for international travellers wanting to see more of Australia. Fridge, snorkel and fresh water were musts for the cape!.
Hi Tiffany I was wondering with all the places you have been to have you ever come across any snakes and if so what kind and I love watching your videos and you sure are one Beautiful Lady.
Hey Tiffany, Just come across your comment and couldn’t agree more. I just returned from Fraser Island and my rule is leave it better than you found it. Videos to be released in about 7weeks Have a look at my set up and videos when release Cheers Out There Touring
@@martinfinn674 this is true. Diesel was $2.83 in bramwell which was what I was paying on the Gold Coast for unleaded a few weeks ago! Thankfully prices here are back down to $1.60.
The 4.0L 1GR-FE airbox may as well be. My V6 Prado air filter was the same colour as the reddest sections of the PDR & so was my MAF. Swapped the air filter & cleaned the MAF when I got home after 6,500km, but no known difference to fuel consumption or power when both were filthy that I noticed.
How are people meant to get experience unless they do it? The first 4WD trip I did was Cape York many years ago and I learnt by doing it. I have since done it several times and many tougher tracks since. I enjoyed your vlog but please offer sensible advice.
Thanks for the feed back. If you read the caption below this video. My intention for this video was to make it for the people who don’t want to do the hard core off roading. International travellers who are hiring a 4wd for the first time in Australia but still enjoy want to enjoy what the cape has to offer safely and under the cars insurance agreements. Enjoy your travels 😊
@@martinfinn674 Agree But if Tiffany’s video was a 27 minute waffle of reading out a PDS full of disclaimers, nobody would watch it. Tiffany is not responsible for the dumb actions / behaviour of idiots who think you can easily drive from Cairns to Cape York, in one day, in a Corolla… 🤷🏻♂️
@@StephenFogarty2023 I agree. However, to those of lesser intellect, the obvious must be stated. I am happy to make these statements on behalf of the girls.

Great vid! And your music choices suited the locations.
And loved the sign off:
"watch out the girls are coming for the tip again!" ☺️
Thanks for the feed back 😊
Another great video!! Your drone footage looks good and has definitely improved!! 👍
Thanks for watching 😊
Awesome 👌 I've been wanting to go to the Cape since 1990, I'm doing it in 2023.
That’s such exciting news!!! Wow what a change you’ll see with such a big gap between visits.

I have in Rockhampton. I saw a red belly black snake in byfeild national park. Apart from that been pretty lucky haven’t come across them.

So true. Thanks for watching 😊🙌🏻
What was your total fuel bill to the tip and back?
$783.54 back with 1/4 of a tank left 😊
That's not too bad, even with current fuel prices.
I drove from Brisbane to Perth 20 odd years ago for about the same amount.
@@martinfinn674 this is true. Diesel was $2.83 in bramwell which was what I was paying on the Gold Coast for unleaded a few weeks ago! Thankfully prices here are back down to $1.60.
Did you carry much fuel in jerry cans for the tip trip (sounds better than doing a tip run) LOL.
Why didn’t you take the fj ?
Hey John, I explained in the video why I didn’t take the fj 😊

You should probably advise people to only attempt this journey with a 4wd and in the dry season.
This is also very true but I’d say if people are doing the trip they would be putting in enough research to know what time of year is better to do so.
I wouldn't want to guarantee the planning ability of every person who travel on 4wd tracks in Australia.
