Challenge idea: take 5 of your favorite items to use in builds and have your sim transform them with the sim ray. Whatever you get, weather it’s bone dust or a golden toilet, you need to use in a build. Might be funny and challenging.
The floors have just been more worn out than around the doors. I understand the frustration of non-matching swatches, but between thinking about the different ways that light hits things and reflects off different materials, I usually can forgive most of it.
I love all the color!! And snaps :) Also just a tid-bit, you don't need to put 'showhiddenobjects' to be able to use 'liveeditobjects'! just use the one (if thats all you need) and there will be lots less to scroll through

I love Snap showing up in your vids. I recently lost two of my pets and it's nice to see other pets loving their owners and owners appreciating them, especially you letting her stay on your desk even if she's in front of your keyboard.

This cottage turned out so pretty despite its saddening start but alas, isnt it always the mismatched wood tones that strike us down?
Snappy is never an inconvenience lol. I really want Maxis to do like a Behind the Scenes kind of video on the design or development team and see the process for people who have never heard of color matching.
I recently made a "house" for my really weird collector sim. I wanted to keep his expenses low so he could be unemployed for as long as possible. I got him the always welcome trait so he could get his needs met anywhere so he was rarely home. He loves outdoors and is hot and cold tolerant. The home has a 4 tile bathroom and that is the only tiles build mode recognizes, because it has 2 walls and a roof. I used the glass roof on the half with the bed so he can sleep under the stars. I put fencing to enclose the "room" with a gap in the fencing that a toddler has slunk in through so it doesn't count as tiles. I know he could get into fabricating, but I prefer the woodsy wild man forage vibe. It does have an outdoor kitchen that is off-the-grid next to the bathroom.
Challenge: all-wallpaper interior build. Only patterned wallpapers inside, no paint, wainscoting okay as long as it's with wallpaper! Any kind of build you want.
my laptop stopped working so it’s going to be a while before i can play the sims again. and it broke the day that i found out about the shell. i have to wait to build the shell now :(
i genuinely wish she just embraced the weirdness of the house and the mismatching of the swatches for almost everything instead of going for a design that go together, thooo ‘cause the cottage looks like an eccentric granny’s house from way way back so there are a lot of bright and colorful things that don’t match any other stuff in the house
