Shiny Bagon in Pokemon Sapphire after 10,507 random encounters (DTQ #6) + 2 Shiny Golbat

- The finale of my Sapphire Dream Team quest - Shiny Bagon! He appeared after 2 Shiny Golbat on the third phase. I'm delighted to add this shiny to my collection. The entire Bagon line are classic Hoenn Pokemon that I think we all love using. My only real complaint is the fact you need 8 badges to access this hunt (requires Waterfall). It's a shame it's not available earlier.
Really pleased this didn't take too long. This hunt can be quite cruel to certain hunters so I'm glad to have been lucky with my phasing here.
This quest is now complete and another Elite 4 video will be on the way soon.

I remember as a kid looking for a Bagon for so long, the guidebook I had just said it was in Meteor Falls. I never knew there was a specific area it spawned in, and I ended up finding my first shiny, that being a Lunatone. Unfortunately, Muscle memory made me run away from it before I could process what I found.

i caught a shiny articuno once, i didnt realize it was shiny until after i caught it and used it in battle. strange chain of events.
How a level 6 Chinchou was able to run away from a level 35 Golbat first try without a smoke ball, I have zero clue.
I hated how shinies in Colosseum/XD look like the developers just played with the contrast and lighting for the model

I got my Bagon in this cave in Omega Ruby, with horde encounters and my total bagon found was 201 and that's how many bagons it took to be shiny. And I think the horde chance is A LOT more rare
No it isn't as the odds are 1/4096. This is 1/8192. It's literally half the odds. Hordes are not rare.
@@Sonikks I mean the odds of the horde being a Bagon is lower I'm not saying it's rare than yours not at all I'm just saying the chance of seeing a Bagon horde is worse than finding one by itself. So I'd get a single Bagon every 5 or 6 encounters but a every 10 hordes had at least one Bagon
I used RNG to get myself a Shiny Starter in Ruby because my battery is dry and the only reason I replayed the game is to get a decent nature Jirachi for my competitive living dex. So a little variaty would be nice but it took me 2 days to get it right.

Do you look at your monitor while hunting or are you looking at the ds ?
I noticed this but in gen 3 there was something weird were the game would make most of the shinies either all female or male and certain ones would stay male

When you hunt do you do it on one cartridge at a time? Or do you use emulators? Also do you use gb operator

I know i might be late on commenting on this video but as some does RNG abuse at times i want to say I don't think Sharpedo and Bagon are the same frame you can have 2 frames with the same nature but will have 2 different genders if you hit same frame with Bagon as you did with Sharpedo then them 2 would both be female but Bagon is male and Sharpedo is female.
