      @@WildKiwiAdventurer thanks I just discovered your History this week and it's amazing. I admire you guys so much. The only thing I would like to see happening was your parents having one of that fancy wooden houses for them in the same location so they could enjoy a bit more confort 🙈 when they are not out as they getting older. Your website design is really cool and once I move to my new house I would like to order one of your father's paintings. Thanks for sharing your family with the world 🤗

    Paua sounds a bit like sea steak. Good to hear some food stories/ethics and see the old man out. It sure is healthy prepping your own food. All the best. Mark

    great drone shot of the gorge!
    just wondering, how does paua/abalone taste like when cooked?
    i heard paua/abalone are slowly becoming endangered species (their shells are used in luxury jewelries)
    pauas/abalones are one of the most expensive shellfishes in the world
    that's why, i wondered how these "expensive" pauas taste like?

    • @WildKiwiAdventurer
      @WildKiwiAdventurer  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are very expencive. Its.kind of hard to explain what they taste like....its not really like any other food. It's quite rich, a little bit like snails but no where near as strong.

    Hey, I absolutely love your channel. I found it from the documentary bush babies. I really did not like the way the documentary woman presented your family and I think she made a lot of unfair and false statements. I admire your way of life so much! Much more authentic and pure than the typical modern city life style.

    • @WildKiwiAdventurer
      @WildKiwiAdventurer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much! I'm glad to have you as a subscriber. She didn't do a very good job however we have had a few more documentaries since then. And we had one guy from England and he did a really good 1 hour long program in us. Sadly it is not on TH-cam however. It still plays on National Geographic from time to time.

    Did Robin ever attend university like she wanted to?

    • @WildKiwiAdventurer
      @WildKiwiAdventurer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      No she hasnt yet, she has decided to do other things, she is actually studying the fiordland crested penguin that lives near home and is one of the world experts on the species. And she works in concervation. It's funny becaus I ended up veing the one who.went and studied, the opposite to what we both wanted as kids
