I think the Skyliner is worth it. I got my tickets on Klook and they ended up being only $15. Worth it for no train change and the space for luggage. Plus the comfy seat! Congratulations on the subs Rion!
I love the fact that you showed 2 different ways to get to and from the airport! I also like the fact that you show us around and give us information about the airport and prices of the food. Congratulations on the 180,000 subscribers! Let’s keep walking! 🚶♀️
This is really helpful. Thank you Rion! Last year when we went to Japan we didn’t know about the Keisei line so we rode the regular trains from Narita all the way to our accommodation in Toyocho 😅 we did multiple transfers and we’re a big group (18 pax) This year tho we made sure that we will take the Keisei line 😊
Thank you for another informative video! I didn’t know about the Sky Liner, so it’s so helpful to be aware of this option to/from Narita, especially seeing the special luggage space inside (similar to how the monorail to/from Haneda has some space for big luggage). Ekicho Pikachu & Captain Pikachu from HND & NRT!! I gotta catch ‘em all!
Congrats Rion for another milestone of 180k subscribers. You really did a great job! 🎉 Exploring the airport is always fun. Taking a local train is so nice, as you get to see beautiful sceneries along the way. Oh my, Pokemon bag give away! Love it!
The trip to the airport was fun! The weather was perfect for traveling. The clouds remind me of Lake George,N.Y. Mosquitos are really a menace for outdoor activity 😢. Please visit New York and see how beautiful it is here.❤️
Congratulations on reaching 180K subscribers! That calls for a good celebrations! Keep your good contend coming and really appreciate what you have been doing on the Japan updates ;)
Yes you made it to 180k! Congratulations!!! 🎉👏I'm truly happy for you! It's because all your videos including this one are so detailed and fun! Oh and all the delicious food you introduce! Keep walking and continue to be you! 😊💪
We like to stay the first day in Narita town or the last. The old shopping street and the shrine never disappoint. The shrine had one of our favorite gardens with multiple ponds , calming.
I look forward to viewing Room’s videos. There are so many places he has shown and they are beautiful and fascinating. I am looking forward to more videos especially in the fall. So, Rion. Please keep filming 😊
Thank you for your information ! 😀 I took a bus from Narita T1 to Tokyo station. It costed ¥1500. I got on a train in Keisei Ueno station at 16:14 and reached Narita T1 at 17:35. The train was not crowded throughout the journey. It was comfortable.
Thanks for your Narita airport update! The bus from Tokyo station to Narita airport is ¥1300 yen. Pretty cheap. Summer is coming to an end soon, colder weather is coming.....
Skyliner! 懐かしい!We did this both directions through fro Narita - Ueno. From the perspective of family travel, it's worth the price coz it's fast and easy. No need to worry about luggage etc and get to max the time in Japan!
Hi Rion!! I'll be going to japan in october and this video would be so helpful! Thanks for your helpful videos as always~ Also have you explored around the Narita area? Would be cool to see a video around that area 😁
Thanks for this very informative video. I saw areas of Narita airport terminal one in the video that I’ve never seen before. I’m going to save this in my travel playlist and review it before my next trip to Japan. The Kesei Skyliner was absolutely worth the higher cost, because we had few pieces of luggage, and didn’t want to deal with changing trains or trying to find extra space for them.
You missed the opportunity to make a video of the former train station Higashi-Narita Station 東成田駅 while being in Narita. Super interesting. It is almost an abandoned place.
Where were you and your video camera 2 days ago? We, my wife & I could have used this video. I was in our AirBnB in Minato City watching TH-cam see which was the best way to go from Tokyo to Narita Airport. On Tuesday we ended up taking the Hibiya line from Kamiyachō station to Ginza Station and took the Airport Bus to Narita T1. It was the cheapest route that I could find. Approximately ¥1500 each person. Anyways my wife & I had a wonderful time in the short 3 days in Tokyo. We both tried Wagyu & Kobe hamburgers, Tsukiji Fish market, Tower Records in Shibuya, Observation Deck in Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, Zojo-ji Buddhist temple next to our AirBnB, Imperial Palace, ate chicken collagen ramen twice, ate lunch at Itarō Korean restaurant in Koreatown and drank at 3 different craft beer bars/breweries. The weather was hot & humid, but clear, no rain. We used your video last November when we visited Kyoto to go to the deer park nearby Kyoto. Thank you.
Rion, After graduation next year March in Sendai, I will be flying back to Singapore via Narita Airport.Thank you for sharing this video. リオンさん、 来年3月に仙台で卒業した後、成田空港経由でシンガポールに戻ります。このビデオを共有していただきありがとうございます。
Haha, you reminded me of the bumpers when i pulled my luggage from Ginza Line at Ueno station to the Skyliner. There are just so many tactile paving on the floor. And congrats on your 180K subscribers achievement! You really deserve it. I will welcome you if you choose to fly to my country in future. There will be red carpet for you, same like the Pope Francis who is here now. 😄
I went to tokyo last year sept 11 2023. I arrived in narita airport at noon and took keisei skyliner going to ueno where i will stay and it wasn’t that crowded. Japan is my dream tourist destination and it was my first international travel so watching this vlog gives me nostalgia. I ❤ tokyo 😊
Love your videos, Rion! I always watched your videos when I planned my trips to Japan! They are so informative and fun to watch! Thanks so much for your effort and hard work. 😊
Planning on booking a hotel in ueno with a couple of check in bags (for souvineers) so this helps make the choice of taking the skyliner on arrival and departure or booking for haneda instead
omg thank you for this video! I'll be coming to Tokyo via Narita in less than 2 months, but since I'm staying near tokyo station, i'll probably will take bus or train haha. Also that ikura onigiri is my favourite too!
Rion! Thank you sooo much for this video! Luckily, the hotel I booked in Tokyo, is a few meters away from the Keisei Ueno Station and this walk through, is so helpful! Specially since I am still thinking on whether or not to take the Skyliner. And thank you for making the comparison, I decided to go with Skyliner simply for its convenience. I would like to avoid train transfers, as much as possible. Again, thanks for this video, and more power to you!
I am really happy for you reaching 180000 subscribers showing that your great job has paid off. Your goal to reach 200000 is getting close and closer. In spite of the fact that Haneda is my favorite Tokyo airport your visiting Narita was fun to watch, too. Especially riding ln the Skyliner looked so inviting. It is a fancy train and it must reflex in price. The Ueno park in the evening is obviously still a risky place due to mosquito attacs. Therefore it should be avoided. Eagerly awating your livestream. Matane and GAOOO....
Awesome. We are actually planning to use this train to and from on OCT trip. I will keep in mind it can get full on the luggage space so gotta make sure to line up and buy tickets on next train for luggage space
I arrived at Narita and took a local express, I think, to Nihombashi station and from there, I took the Tozai line subway to Toyocho station. I the no walked about four blocks to my hotel. The trip was very convenient!
Skyliner is DEFINITELY worth it! No traffic and no waiting for luggage to be taken off the bus. Also, stop and eat ramen at Menya Musashi by Ueno Station. Amazing ramen!
My wife and I usually just take the local Keisei main line for Nippori for about 1,000jpy because we have plenty of time. But on our recent trip, we used the non-stop LCB.
we always hurry for transport to the city when arriving or for flights when leaving, not much time exploring around the airport other than the duty free shops. Thanks for the airport tour.
Can you do a romancecar shinjuku station guide? Im about to go to Japan next month and I'm so anxious about going to Shinjuku station and finding the romancecar platforms. I've looked up many videos but none of them really go in depth and I really like the way you explain and show things. 🙏🏻
Hi Rion!!! I am flying JAL 350-1000 to Haneda in November! If I get that sake for you... how do I deliver to you? 😅 I don't use Narita anymore as we have direct flights from DFW to Tokyo Haneda and that's where I fly into now but in the past, I did fly into Narita 😊 Anyways, as always thank you and I'm not a sake drinker so if I buy this for you, I hope I can at least get it to you! 😊 My omedetou gift for you for reaching your 180k subscribers! ❤ Arigatoo
It’s only available for specific classes, but if you see one, it should be in the on-flight shopping catalog😊 Arigatooo, Email me if you find one Arigatooo ✨😆
I like guacamole, but honestly, I just like plain avocado more than anything. I love avocado and eggs . Is it common to find avocados in the grocery store? And also, I enjoy your videos, but I don’t fly. I’m planning on coming to Japan next year on a cruise from California. Do you think you could do a video on the cruise terminals in Yokohama?
I take the skyliner because I usually stay in Ueno and it's not far for me. Maybe a 5-7 minute walk. I don't think the price is that bad considering how fast it travels between Narita and Ueno
Back when the yen was more costly and the difference between the local and the express was not as big it was kind of worth it to use the skyliner. The difference is just to big now , travel from or to the airport during rushhour is a pain but it's not really worth paying a premium for..
Can you make a video where the good thrift stores are in Tokyo ? And the dollar value at the moment ? Thanks Rion. We’ve been watching you for more than two years now from California USA 🇺🇸!!! Congratulations on your more than 100K subscribers!!! Keep going
What are you using on your Apple Watch to pay for your fare on the Keisei line trains? I know you can put JR's Suica (etc.) on a mobile app on iPhones and Apple Watches, but are you using some other app tied to Keisei to pay?
Easier and cheaper to goto tokyo station and just take the bus. Taking the skyliner costs more and requires more walking and transfers, plus you have to goto ueno station...farther away.
I hope you also make a video where locals go to avoid tourist crowds. Where locals, shop, eat, and go. Or maybe a video regarding the rush hour train, what time to avoid or what are the busiest stations or train lines during rush hour.
I travel Narita Keisei to Ueno in the beginning of November 2024. But sorry, your video makes me confused. I wish to see some parts more complex in the description. I am lost in your video: too messy, too side show and talks… who the hell needs yakiniku and weather watches in this situation? - Being a tourist I need THIS IS UENO… THIS IS KEISEI… THIS IS CHANGE PLACE… I really need to see where I am and where to go. - SAMPLE: You show stairs to the park talking about entry to Keisei station. But I do not see the entry! Then you jump inside. - No! Exactly I need to see that way from stairs inside to station whole. But you jump, you skip part of the way and I am messy then. - Please be more concentrated on the subject and what audience are you doing it for. Sorry for that as you are doing it nice on the other way.
Yes. The Skyliner for me is worth it. After 10 hours on a plane, the added comfort and space really helps.
I agree , after many travel hrs I use NEX straight to Shinjuku, no need to change trains
Also these specialized trains were made with luggage in mind, a crowded local train is not very fun with luggage.
Im 48 years old from Brazil and i love your vídeos.
I think the Skyliner is worth it. I got my tickets on Klook and they ended up being only $15. Worth it for no train change and the space for luggage. Plus the comfy seat! Congratulations on the subs Rion!

Also a quick note, the Gindaco with guacamole and cheese is pretty good, highly recommend
Congratulations on 180K subscribers!
Thank you so much for this tour. I gain more knowledge every time I watch your guides. I will use this knowledge on my upcoming trip to Tokyo. 😊
Congratulations on hitting 180K subscribers. This is awesome! Looking forward to more videos from you. 😆

Yup, after I used it, I appreciate the bus from Tokyo station more😂👍
My wife and I have been to Japan 20+ times in 25 years and took the non-stop LCB recently for the first time. Won't take the train anymore.

I stayed in ueno twice when i went to tokyo. Always my favorite area in tokyo. not overwhelming and also not boring.
Narita airport T1 is the best !
I had the Guac-Cheese Takoyaki at Dodgers Stadium. I really liked it. It was a nice change from the regular takoyaki.
Thanks for this Rion! Look forward to more of your videos around Japan!🎉❤

How about comparing both with NEX? thanks for the comparing video!
So many great memories! What camera do you use?
I use Skyliner every time, the convenience after being in transit for a whole day is worth the small charge.
The wife and me are coming to Japan at end of October, hope we bump into you.

does the cheap local train only go to the terminal one? if yes, the express one is definitely more convenient if I want to go straight to T2.

hey rion! have you taken the longest flight within japan? its from sapporo to okinawa naha.. its almost 4hrs long!
I will fly to Narita airport in November. I am still not sure about the train so I have to fly to Nagoya 😅
i am curious to see rion with different clothes 😅
Lol🤣👍
I like your look. Comfortable and simple. Don't change a thing.
Locals hit that street at night ... it gets really crowded after work hours!!
Please film one to Hanada airport too, thank you
If NRT to Ueno with keisei main line, do we have to change train too?. Google map says remain on board
Rion, how can we book a bus for 20 people for one week ( with a driver )in Japan?
Can show one from ueno to HND airport please i will need that when I am there in Dec😂
Thank you Rion, nice video. Do you have video about Haruka train in Kansai? I'm going to Osaka first and than Tokyo.
We are traveling to Japan in October and landing at Narita. Our first stay is in Shinjuku. Should we take the bus or narita express?
Well depends, but bus would be easier if you have many luggage😊
My wife and I took the non-stop, LCB (1,300jpy) recently for the first time and that's the way to go.
is the weather still hot this september? we have a trip there on october 8 i hope the weather is not that hot a little cold..
Should be a good weather by then👍
Rion why you only pay ¥ 1052 for skyliner from ueno ? How to get that cheap price ?
how about the N'ex (Narita Express?)
My wife and I only it when our JR pass is still valid. Otherwise, not worth the 2,500+jpy.
What are you using on your Apple Watch to pay for your fare on the Keisei line trains? I know you can put JR's Suica (etc.) on a mobile app on iPhones and Apple Watches, but are you using some other app tied to Keisei to pay?
It’s SUICA App😊
