This rucksack is issued to the United States Army and it was designed to fill a need between the smaller MOLLE II Assault Pack and the much larger MOLLE II Large Rucksack
It's readily available on the surplus market scene and of course through joining the U.S. Army.

Really glad I found your video, that adjustment at 7:45 was a huge help for me, I adjusted it in the wrong direction. Once I got that situated it fit soooo much better and more comfortable. Not a military guy but plan on using this pack for overnight camping on short backpack trips.
I bought two of those packs. They were pricey last year, but I spend extra to get practically brand new packs. UCP doesn't bother me because I dye it, and if that doesn't satisfy me, I'll spray paint...either way, problem solved. It's very easy to setup the pack once you view the instructions. They do make it pretty easy for army folks to assemble their gear. PS: I love how you throw your gear nonchalantly on the floor.
@rjhisle1973. With the molle webbing on the bottom of that pack,yes you can attach the waist pack to it.The waist pack has to molle loop straps on it.
I tried using the frame with ALICE packs. It's a flexible frame but too short for my torso. Maybe it works great with the medium ruck harness. MOLLE2 assault pack is super comfortable thanks to the wide thin shoulder harness. Great budget gears.
Oh and I did ritdye and camo spray on my old ACU gears and they do look super cool now.
I never tried an Alice back with the Medium Ruck sack frame. I’m glad you experimented with it. And it is a great budget system

I’m assuming you only use the medium pack in the summer. I almost froze to death in Korea in March.

I've heard that the big comfortable belt from the large can fit on the medium. Does it look like that would work? I can only go by photos, but the connection straps looks exactly the same for both.
From what I can tell from my own packs the connection system are the same. Adding the Large rucksack's belt to the medium rucksack sounds like a good idea..
I’ve added the large waistband. It works and is super comfortable
FILBE belt also works
Can you turn in the UCP one instead?

How do you use that when you fat? It would be hard to get the hip straps over you belly
