What a beautiful looking set. Very cool you passed the other albums on for enjoyment. We are truly in great times for newer pressings! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Greg
@@3dimensionsofmusic3D I agree, with so many great audiophile reissue labels, putting out top quality products. It’s a great time to be a fan of vinyl.
@@MitchsVinylCorner sounds good and no pressure! I’ve been a vinyl fan for about 8 years since I turned 30 and have gotten some nice pressings. I’m looking forward to getting the Dave Brubeck 331/3 soon, which has a lot of praise. That’s an amazing vibe of a record. I own the LA Woman 45rpm as well ! I don’t have a great HiFi stereo yet but I’ve learned some things to consider watching you and others in the VC! Cheers
I have seen 3 or 4 unboxings videos of this set. How come the others have the strips on the the individual records or yours do not? Just wondering. Anyway, great video. Very enjoyable .
Impressive set! I also love the facsimile of the tape boxes. That’s really cool. I’m also in the bitchy group that would like the original labels on the albums and the original die cut cover but not to the point that it would add a lot to the MSRP.
@@recordtime4923 I agree, the original labels and the die cut for LA Woman would have been nice. However, like like you said, it would’ve drove the cost up a little bit more. 250 for this box that I believe is very much a reasonable price.
Great video! I missed this box set, so I can’t confirm the Side A SQ issue on the S/T. I have the AP45 edition that doesn’t correct for pitch or timing, and it sounds great. I have the first pressing of LA Woman and the 33 UHQR, the OG is much better than the UHQR. I don’t have the AP45 of this one (on the want list). I’m hoping Rhino releases these separately, I’d love to compare against the OG. Again. Great breakdown of a beautiful box. Jelly I missed it! 😉
It was interesting to hear Mike from the In Groove review this set and praise the Rhino version of the S/T. Perhaps I need to revisit it and mess with some EQ settings on my system. The next two shows I’m going to over the next few week, I’m gonna look for the DCC versions of the S/T and LA Woman and see if I could snag them at a good price and do a side-by-side comparison. However, the ERC version of the S/T is a hard pass for me since it was cut from the inferior mono tape. However, I hopefully someday would like to get a jazz title from ERC and hear them since those seem to be the titles that everyone raves about.
@ Happy hunting! I love looking for specific pressings on things. Save the cash mate! I have three ERC pressings and they aren’t worth the price in my humble opinion. I have a video coming up that delves into ERC and my thoughts. Stay tuned!
@@thomaslytle5519 I watched other unboxings after doing my video and noticed that they did have them. I have since contacted Rhino and they will be sending me the OBI’s.

Vinilaxis here!!
Hey Mitch, if you’d enjoy a AP45 shootout of LA Woman, I’m up in Durham. Could be fun to compare the two!
Happy you got your order of the box in time!
@@robertkeene7909 thanks for stopping by Rob, once I get a copy of the AP 45 I’ll let you know and perhaps we can do a shootout 🤙
