I’ve purchased promar rubberized replacement nets for my salmon and steelhead setups and they were great. Easy to install and fantastic quality. Glad to see you showcase them! I watch a lot of fishing vids but your are consistently the ones I watch from beginning to end.
Id love to see the process behind preparing the herring for bait! Ive never used herring and probably wont for a long time, but ive see you use them for halibut
Have you tried Coyote Point? Back in the 70's, I remember the herring runs and would see millions of fish school up and spawn along the jetty walls, and our uncle would take us there and just snag them on a big treble hook. Good luck!
@@dogsense3773 yeah, I'm 60, and the 1960's and 70's were the good old days when we would catch huge stripers in the Coyote Point marina and forage for clams in the gravel! Now, everything is silted over and barren! 😞
I got a pa14 and don’t think I’ve kneeled backwards on it… you make it look natural . I’m gonna go try it with all my expensive gear on it in choppy water
New subscriber. I live on the east coast but I love watching people out pulling lobster and crab pots. I love eating them but at my age I couldn't do all this...lol
Herring is good for you. They are not “good” to eat though. Lol i’ve thrown from boats and docks. A kayak would be hard! Props my dude! Gotta love it when the boats come follow your kayak around. Losers
We are excited to have you part of our team!
Hello there, how can I find a info about the show that promar will have at Sacramento please? I am want to goo,
Love your hoop nets, but the price is out of control .I started making my own and know how cheap they are to make
Do you have any information on making your own hoopnets?
Thanks@@briangrendahl4635
Good video as always Adam, I must have missed the promo code😊
@@jaycarmichael435 the promo code is in the video description! It is "DHF20"

Have you done a video showing how you package them for storage? Would be interested in seeing that process.
No but I will do that next time!
Hey hey! You were missed! Hope you had great holidays!
We can’t use a throw net here in So Cal
Good video and experience for you man thank you to share

I heard spawning herring bring sturgeon too.
I'll be at the Sportman's Expos on Saturday too with the Portabote booth. Hope to say hi!
Will do!
Right on Adam
Would you please tell us about your motor ? What it is and how long it will go on a charge, etc?
I’m thinking to start fishing April in the bay for halibut. Too early?
Definitely not! I caught one in January last year!
Can you do a vid on how you prep and freeze your bait? Thanks.
Next time!

Thanks for subbing! I have a new crabbing video coming out later today!
This was a fun one. Looking forward to the fish those herring will catch!
Me too!
Marinated herring in sour cream and onions!
Sounds delicious!!!!
Can you use cast net on piers?
Yes
I was going to say SpotLock, then you did it 😂 I missed the big spawn the other day, but hoping to catch the next location.
Should still have some opportunities before they leave!
Great video! I like your jacket. Any info?
Since you have a commercial license do you even have a limit for herring?
Yes, I don't have a commercial license for herring so I am resricted to the same regulations as sport fishermen.
Not too bad of a Haul!
Those "perch" kind of look like opaleye. They are rare in nocal though.
Can you make a video of the salting vacuum seal process?
I think he did last year, not sure if it was him or fisherman’s life
Yeah next time!
Rockwall?
Thought those were not allowed in california anymore?
Allowed north of Pt Conception only, I believe.
I rather just cast net for jack smelt. Seem to get monster halibut on smelt. Super easy to get In the east bay too
nice!!
Crazy weather huh? It really is
I though using a bait net was illegal in ca
Don't forget, that licenses are a year from purchase now.
Check your second link to make sure you get credit for people coming from your link.
Fixed it, thanks for the heads up!
One more throw!
How do you keep your balance to stand up and throw the net?
If salmon season is cancelled again, at least you'll be able cut down the mightiest tree in the forest.
Herring is good for you.

Watching the video and saying to myself why isn't he using the spot lock. 2 minutes later you make a comment about using spot lock.
You ain’t no commercial fisher with a kayak bro.
