If you take real men, their flaws, their loves, their bloody battles, their youth, their hardships, their regrets, their laughter and tears, their loss and their memories you get the Masterpiece called, Once Upon a Time in America.

This musical piece (Deborha's Theme) captures so much emotion, reflection, sorrow, regret, and so much more. I can listen to this over and over and still not capture the words to describe the way it moves me.

I was sad that no one mentioned Sergio Leone - The true visionary of this incredible film. The musical score was a union between two of the greatest creative minds in movie history who blessed us with this powerfully emotive and uniquely memorable work. This capture is exemplary of the intense communion - commitment & collaboration between all who made this film complete and commendable, and we have a lot to be grateful for. It is incredible - intense - intoxicating - and like no other. Sadly the world has lost two beautiful aesthetic visionaries but Sergio & Ennio's work will remain in our hearts forever 🙏

Just such an amazing song. Ennio Morricone has made the greatest movie scores of anyone I can think of. He and Sergio Leone were a brilliant team who were in complete sync with what they envisioned for each movie!

I love this music it has me thinking of when my brothers & sisters were alive and we were young the tears fall whenever I listen to this so beautiful. I also loved the film and how great the storyline was of how we were young without care then our bodies get old but our minds stay young. One should also feel lucky that we can hear this as some people do not have the gift of hearing so enjoy while you can. and if you love somebody go and tell them, do not keep it to yourself.enjoy

In the documentary "Ennio", maestro Morricone stated that this piece was written for the Franco Zifferelli movie "Endless Love" but after hearing there would be more composers working on that flick, withdrew it and used it for Once Upon a Time in America couple of years later.

Ennio Morricone was not only a great musician but also a great soul.
I remember one time I was at his conference. He was very sad, he had 5 Nominations but no Oscar at the end.
The way he shows his contrariety was so honest and humble that I immediately thought 'this man will win this Oscar'.
Usually I am not so much optimistic and sure, but that time I was.
The fun fact was that I couldn't see Morricone face but only hearing his voice.
There was too much crowd at this conference, and I was behind a pillar!
Some time after this event Ennio won his first Oscar, then he won a second.
    Greetings from Genova, Italy 🇮🇹

    I knew I loved you
    Before I knew you
    The hands of time
    Would lead me to you
    An evening star
    Was from afar
    It guided me here
    It knew you'd be here
    Now wrapped in moonlight
    At last together
    Here in the incandescent glow
We are all we need to know
As we softly please each other
'Til the stars and shadow glow
    And we sleep
    With our dreams around us
    Oooohhhh ahhh
    Ooohhhh oh yeahhh
    It guided me
    It knew you'd be here
    I knew I loved you
    Before I found you
I knew I'd built my world around you
    Now all my days
    And all my nights
    And my tomorrows
    Will all begin
    And end
    With you...
    With you...

Listening to this music flow out from the woman playing the Violin (Eunice Cangianiello) and the rest of the Orchestra following her lead is a true work of the heart leading into the innocence of God's creations through out the times of early Childhood through growing up in America. This is truly heaven on earth composed and directed by two of the best Ennio Maricone and Sergio Leone. Sit back close your eyes and enjoy the flow.

"Once upon a time in America", is a real history of many of our parents as newcomers in this new-wild-unexplored-beautiful-almost empty-rude-immensely large-resource rich continent called North, Central or South America.
We are proud to be born in this land, and happy to keep getting inmigrants from Asia, Africa and Europe.
