Hi, Jake, I have been watching lessons for some of my Stones favorites when I happened to see yours. I watched for a couple of minutes before I realized who the guitarist was. I enjoyed the Haight concert a lot, too.
I live in California now. Swimming pools. Movie stars. I can see the nightly fireworks at Disneyland from just down the street. I've been here for almost 8 years, but the best memories in my life are from Austin.
How about you? The last time that I saw you was at Deep Eddy, and I think you were living in Houston.
Guess I should stop, now. This is kind of long for this space. Now that I know you have a channel, I'll subscribe and learn some music. My best to your parents and your sisters, too. @@JakeAndrewsMusic

It’s not out of key, it just doesn’t have to complete notes. Like playing power cords vs a full triad or something more complex

I think it sounds like a decent substitute in a pinch, but yeah, you can tell certain substitutions were made where you’re expecting brighter, high notes in the riff and he has to go an octave lower to still hit the same note in standard tuning.
Not the same but still sounds pretty cool, I wouldn’t mind playing it and doubt casually listeners would notice/care

Hmh.....think this is a fantastic lesson of that Riff.
Maybe keith played it in open G?
It's just that special rythm feeling of his own. For me it was always boring and almost not possible trying to play the Riffs exactley as the Originals.
Who needs that shit? But learning from the Masters to create your own Version seems more interesting to me.
