@Marius Olsen I know man, i can tell you i think in the same way at launch, but now playing all the content and mostly the art and details of star wars in this game feels good and its stand by the own merits, still dont like EA btw
@Marius Olsen not sure how BFV is a waste, i paid £40 and played it for about 300ish hours enjoyed every moment never had to spend anything else, theres no pay to win the only thing you buy is crappy cosmetics i get that there is a lot of people who are quite stupid and seem to judge every game as bad if a certain developer makes it, then there is smart people who judge every game on its own merits, for example if i was the anti EA bandwagon i would never of played Apex Legends (an EA game) and im glad i didnt miss out as its loads of fun being on the bandwagon just shows how weak and how easily manipulated you by youtubers who pretty much get paid to spout crap, you should never trust youtubers or review sites, you judge things on your own
Bought this dirt cheap not long ago. I think I spent around $8 on this and I was not expecting the game to be as fun as it is now after that whole lootbox debacle. It has some flaws for sure but just in the few months I've been playing the devs have actually fixed a bunch of the issues. Most recently saber combat and adding more Heroes, Reinforcements and modes. Next time EA should just let the devs do their jobs instead of controlling the whole process.
@@weaverquest They changed the way stamina drains, which used to be pretty bad, and when sabers clashed you would bounce back off people who were blocking. So now Saber combat is more fluid and based on strategic stamina management and ability use instead of just spam.
Am I the only one who thinks a Star Wars dueling game in the style of For Honor would be awesome? Jedi vs Sith with character specific playstyles and alternate stances and blocks and dodges and executions and such?
@@CucumberKane yeah it's called hero showdown its pretty cool if people actually let you have an honorable match . Like having a 1v1 and a 1v1 in separate parts of the map
@Mefree Mel yup more maps for the new gamemode and that's pretty much we know for now though they said they will focus on reinforcments and a trust worthy leaker said ashoka is on the way
Respect for Dice, even under EA thumps they bring this game back to life to a true triple AAA quality game and make us relive our childhood of playing Battlefron2 on PS2 *Salute*
@Sunny Mitten maybe but I bought it by a pre order when it first released in the Elite Trooper edition with 79.99 so I am not really caring for the price
There's leaks on them adding Ahsoka and Ventress, so the game still has a bright future. I've been playing this game for so long and I've brought friends back who love it now
Isn’t it supposed to be her and asajj ventress? I was reading that and a new map is in production for Felucia too but I’m not too sure where the leak is
skullboygaming Felucia sounds pretty unlikely to me. They would rather bring back some campaign/ BF 2015 maps, like Scariff or Sullust, or the most requested ones, Utapau, Mustafar, Coruscant. Mygetto is very liked too. Felucia isnt that requested by the community.
Rey Beltran it was leaked to be true but they are on hold (everything is almost done for the characters) till new maps are made according to one of the developers
M equals 13 Is EA Star Wars Battlefront II really 10 dollars now? Interesting. Unfortunately I don't want to pay for Xbox live, so I will still probably never play this game.
Nebula I have the original SWBF II on my Xbox 360. I've played the crap out of it, but eventually one gets a little tired of fighting bots and only bots all the time. I've tried the PC one but I am just not as good with it as I am on the console version.
shufly4life It’s good for the 7bucks. Personally I haven’t played a Star Wars game since 2012 so I still have to do a ton of research and learn the mechanics aside from me being ass at the game it’s solid
U shouldn't praise EA for what happened wit this game it's not like they put in their shitty microtransaction system in place accidentally or something it was clearly a premeditated move they don't just get to fix something like that and just expect people to clap for them
Been playing since launch. I took breaks to play God of War and Red Dead 2, but always came back to Battlefront 2. I love Heros vs Villains and the new Capital Supremacy game mode.
This video convinced me to pick up the game that I canceled the pre-order on two years ago it really convinced me so far the game is fucking excellent and I'm loving it
Jacob Rice He was definitely in the right it wasn’t hate hype and him jumping on a bandwagon he was joining in on showing that the gaming community is sick of scummy practices I’m glad he canceled his 60$ order for the game
It has become an amazing game, the new progression is really fair and simple it’s hard to bellieve dice/ea made it, and they have added geonosis, anakin, dooku, greivous, obi wan, clone arc troopers, bx comando droids. And a really fun non linear large scale gamemode that also has smart ai 12 on each side making it a 32v32 players and ai, the new mode is really similar to OG battlefront 2, and more dlc suport is confirmed for the rest of 2019. This game is often on sale for 10-15$ i fully recommend this game, it’s a nerdgasm if you are a star wars fan.
I've been avoiding Battlefront 2 for, like you said, two years now, but at the same time I've been keeping close tabs on it. With Galactic Supremacy out now (the most recent game mode), I might actually consider getting the game.
It’s worth the buy now, I’d definitely recommend it if your a Star Wars fan. Props to dice for not giving up even tho the game shoulda been like this 2 years ago when it released.
More than likely not coming. They’re done with prequel content for now, and pretty much done with there sequel content, so next should be original content. If BF2 survives long enough we may say Qui gon
As a kid growing up with Star Wars I actually loved this game from the off. I didn’t really mind the loot boxes ect because I just loved the immersion of this game and that I actually felt like I was in the movies. I knew from the off this wasn’t going to be a shooter I was ever going to “try hard” so for a game that I just wanted to play for fun, I enjoyed it.
I recently bought Battlefront 2 for the first time on an Origin sale having never touched it or it's predecessor before. I was aware of the controversy and it was what made me steer clear of the game for so long. But at £3.74, I said what the hell. Maybe they fixed it and I can honestly say this is the first FPS in a long time that hasn't made me care about the lack of competitive features or unlocking new weapons, attachments, skins etc. The game is so authentically Star Wars that merely being present, regardless of my performance, in a galactic assault match is fun for me. I keep wanting to go back and play more, not because of another milestone the game wants me to meet, but because I want to throw myself into the world that has been so clearly crafted by passionate and talented individuals with a love for Star Wars that is as strong as mine.
I mean... It was always praised for being a GOOD game, since launch, from players and from critics. Meaning fun gun play, first person, and multiplayer, amazing graphics and music. The monetization and bad business practices always overshadowed that good game. It has just been made better, and time has allowed us to move past the garbage pay 2 win system that it was forced into by the publisher.
You mean the devs EA paided to change the game the game that bassed on business models and time and funding issues to deal with means EA had planned for many of these things ages ago during the fiasco but hey TH-camrs ignore the business side of things meanwhile rost blizzard for being owned by Activision and they have to do what Activision says but dice and EA studios are different made the game better on there own sorry was my to fresh buttholes video thanking dice who wouldn't have fixed the game had EA not approved the funding to keep working on said game that flopped bassed on freshprince and other hatetubers but clearly the money was in it from the start or it would have never became the thing it is today
@Prez 18 That's because EA's live service was a scam from the beginning. Since we called them out on their scummy monetization plans. Which meant reworking the entire progression system and going back to the drawing board. They pulled resources from the dev team and now don't care about making enough revenue. So the remaining developers left working on post launch content are feeding off scraps
Sounds like the same thing that happened with BF4. BF4 started out so buggy and glitchy AND had loot boxes that it was damn near unplayable. Now it is one of the best up there with Bad Co. 2 and BF3
@@CroJordan nah it's been growing throughout the rollout of the Clone Wars content. They were talking about population numbers about a week before this video came out. Videos from mainstream TH-camrs do help though, so I'm sure we'll be seeing even more people.
Thank you so much for making this. Even though microtransactions were taken out of the game at launch people give this game so much shit just at the mention of it when its really great now. Still has lots of problems and need bug fixes but as far as multiplayer its the best battlefront we've ever gotten, story sucks ass but its def worth getting for the fun multiplayer
> even though microtransactions were taken out For like a month. > people give this game so much shit Indirectly. The bugs were pretty bad at times and the story is laughable, plus it was quite literally pay to win. While it's nice they fixed it, they should never had released it in the state that it did. All hate I see is towards EA and this game is just a talking point, just like Andromeda or APEX's battle pass with nothing of value in it. The game itself isn't the actual problem, but the most blatant example of it, and many people aren't willing to forgive EA a second time. I'm not. > worth getting for the multiplayer Your mileage may very, I think. Personally, I'll never give EA another dime. Great game or no, that's the hill I'm willing to die on. Monetarily, I see it on sale for like $10 all the time and that makes fiscal sense, but I refuse to do it on a moral basis. All this is to say that those of us who are still pissed at this game/EA have every right to be. Many people are tired of this "the game is good now, come play it." The game should be good when it releases. It's possible. It happens with games all the time. If it isn't good now, don't release it now. I'm sure if the game came out as is right now instead of however long ago, it'd probably be lauded as one of the best. But the bad taste is in everyone's mouth now, and it won't ever matter how good the game is. They sold a shitty product, and that is all that really matters.
@@inateinate yeah no it wasnt "for like a month". The mtx were taken out for a long time and only returned available for new skins. And no most people out there bash the game as a whole not judt EA. Nobody is saying EA doesnt deserve the hate, but that the game itself doesn't. And the whole "the game is good now come play it" makes complete sense. It shows how people want their games. If nobody buys until mtx are gone it shows what the people want and that broken products arent acceptable. You guys are so concerend with fighting mtx (which you really arent doing much with little boycotts) that you forget games are meant to have fun. If its now in a state where its fun then who cares
Carefull u know everyone's been upset at live service games and the IDC if it gets better it shuld have been done on release because we're entitled asses who clearly don't understand a lick of salt about this industry we just regurgitating hatetubers yea it's improved alot also probably fresh and Yong and there claims of dead bf no profit and zero future wrong haha if I recall fresh said this game has zero future and it never will. In last video of the game haha but you know EA has a track record of destroying things. That don't make money now look at this game it clearly had always been making profit for such drastic changes to happen and work the issue I'm having is app these ppl in threads praising dice for these changes ignoring EA soly out of hate and it's hellarious each one that does that needs to read how the industry works ffs I can spell lolol point is dice is owned by EA EA is dices boss funding for games dice develops goes threw EA future plans for content go threw EA EA approved it all probably before the bf fiasco go too heavy last last year but gamers had there heads up there asses so far they couldn't think rationally it's sad really it's the same people who think when EA cancelled Titanfall 3 that respawn didn't have to pitch Apex to EA claiming EA didn't know much is a flat lie like respawn has had some good games but isn't a power house even bungie needed funding help from Activision so to think respawn kept the future game to make there boss money and kept this idea from said boss for upwards of two years is blind and sadly fresh is among them too from his Apex video it's gross how a company can lie to it's fans but the games good so there angels while the company paying them to do what they do is a dog shit POS whom never knew hahahaha yet again Apex bussiness side of things screams eaaaa and shows that eather a EA had it's hand in Apex from it's beginning or respawn wanted a worse than overwatch lootboxes system to play of blizzards sales reports but to try and stagger free boxes to try and get more people to buy them it's not needed but it's a under the covers sceam to see if it works and it's about greed haha like take overwatch ok stagger ur free boxes from 1/lv to now 1/3 lvs now add a battle pass too you like Apex just screams u don't have to give money but pretty please sorry just a rant how brainwashed kacks keep screaming take microtransactions away but don't get there reasons again Apex doesn't need to remove any of them however or the game will die within 6 months without microtransactions as 1 dev for 6 months is 50k plus salary alone depending on company so yea u got 25 devs for post release content? Or maybe 50? At a 100k minimum salary per head Jesus that's 2.5-5 million$ for one year of content well guys out one year plan just ate up what tiny amount we made off sales? Well how do we keep the game at 60$ then? Microtransactions
I would buy Star wars battlefront 3 if it had ... galactic conquest A game mode in which to be played online competitively or single player with split screen
This game should be able to played the same online as well as offline. So that when time goes on and the servers are dead, you can still play this game as if it’s full of people. Immortalize it like the original battlefront 2
The one thing you missed about the star cards is that they have trades. Like for example the increased blast radius of a grenade made the ability take longer to recharge. This makes your credibility to kill less often but more secured when you use it, but then you have a card to reduce the recharge time of abilities, but then 1 of your slots are now used to make your credibilty to kill less good, but your survivability is increased. This creates a system that is actually fairly balanced yet adapting to your playstyle. This game has more depth to it than people see, even this 55 min video. Also loved the video, it is awesome!
Eh, I'd hardly call the Star Cards a "significant" advantage...at least for troopers. All in all they're pretty minimal upgrades and I never felt it was unfair even when I first started. Heros on the other hand...
As someone who played the week early access thing they were very overpowered. They made huge differences very early on, the health on kill and stuff could be game changers
Thank you for making a video on this game, I bought it about 6 months ago and really love it. This latest mode with the capital ships is fantastic. The Clone Wars content is fantastic.
It's funny how most people here blindly hated the game for a reason that was changed shortly after Release and simply avoided a great game for 2 years. But I can't blame you, atleast you helped making the game into a better one by not playing it and leaving a clear message just as I did by not giving up in it.
I started at launch and did enjoy the game, however the pay to win pushed me away. I waited all the way until the Clone Wars DLC and now am back playing the game and I live and enjoy the time I spend on battlefront 2
I just recently bought an Xbox one to play newer games with, and picked this game up. I gotta say I was shocked to see so many single player options available, instant action, arcade etc... and was pleasantly surprised by the game itself after I heard how(allegedly) awful it was. This is coming from someone who still plays BF2(2005) and this game really doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I'll agree it isn't exactly how I'd want a new battlefront game, and they did miss the mark with some aspects but all and all it's a very enjoyable game. I still think the gameplay doesn't quite hold up to the original but still amazing
I just picked this game up for less than $5. Gotta say, I love it! I've only been playing the story so far (best to learn the game in SP than in MP), but the story has been really fun. I have it running on my PC with maxed settings, including HDR, on 1440p at a solid 60fps. On my 52" 4K Samsung, along with high end headphones, this game is a multi-pronged orgasm for the senses. Best
@SirTownsy96 it was bad in beta... and there were some lag issues at launch but the game hasn't change drastically since then. The only significant change was the way level ups happen.
SirTownsy96 Lootcrates as everyone was freaking out about NEVER got past beta testing. Micro transactions came back months after launch with the revamped leveling system but only for cosmetics. The core gameplay never changed.
I pre-ordered the deluxe edition for launch, never paid for any of the microtransactions and never would. Despite all that I loved the game then and still love it now, and I have to give my thanks to the developers over at DICE for sticking with the fans and the community. If you were hesitant to pick the game up back then, the game has drastically improved gameplay wise (as seen in this video) and so has price. It is definitely worth picking up if you want an authentic star wars experience. Hope to see you on the battlefront :p
I've never played Battlefront 2 but I did enjoy this video. This was a very long video but I appreciate how much detail you put into each section and even though I haven't picked the game up I feel like I understand it. I wanted to pick it up at launch but decided to vote with my wallet and I'm happy to hear the message was received. Glad to hear the game is in a better state now, I will probably be playing in the next little while.
This is the best video ever. Since no one listens to me when I say Battlefront II is good, you step in and change the mind, of possibly millions. Heh, no wonder I got the platinum trophy last year. The game was good. Period
I think my favorite match I've had in this game was a capital supremacy game. We had to defend our ship 3 times before managing to sway the momentum and capped the points and pulled the sabotage points in one go. Full match was like over an hour. Had like 200 kills by the end
About the star cards "grind to win" thing, they have had double and maybe even triple xp almost every weekend I believe. So you can level up faster and choose the cards you want to use first. Then spend time unlocking the less interesting ones next.
It would have been pay-to-win and would have recieved backlash anyways, probably less, but still. That's the main reason it got so much rage from players
The rewind transition into a new talking point rather than rewinding your own footage... very clever. Well done. You put a lot of thought and effort into this. Nice touches like that really set your videos apart.
Great video man, just bought both games for 10$ and I'm glad i waited till they "fixed" it. at least it ain't the train wreck it was at launch. For 5 bucks, I ain't unhappy so far... thx for the review on the updated stuff!
@@PsilocybeJedi yeah you have no idea what your talking about. Not only is it the best battlefront so far but its not a "looter shooter". Really shows how little you know about it
Great video! Im enjoying the game a lot it takes me back to when I played Battlefront II for the original Xbox with my brother and my cousins every christmas. Makes me wonder how we would have reacted all those years ago to gameplay footage of the newest Battlefront lol
Dare I say, if they add some quality offline content, this game could be better than the originals. It's the best comeback in gaming history in my opinion
The editing and quality of this video is phenomenal. I'm trying to edit a travel vlog of my trip to the UK after graduation and I'm shocked with how much work goes into making a video. Keep up the good work.
Major props and respect for coming back to this after all the hate. I'm on the fence about this. On the one hand I want to commend Dice for choosing to stick and support their game but at the same time it really doesn't bode any confidence in me as a consumer in the gaming industry because I now have to think about the games being unfinished and of low quality and standards at release. I don't care how good ANY game development company is, I paid for the game that you will fix to be where it should be in two years, today. I firmly believe in the speaking with my wallet frontier, but honestly I find it difficult at times to NOT buy a game that was bad at launch and ended being fixed some time later because I'd be supporting something that's just downright terrible. Besides that, great video, would love to see you do a vid on the Infamous game series. From my side of the world, sleep well.
@@adammusleh5992 The MTX determined how a player would approach and play the game. They took away the basic form factor of any game in general; having fun. No one finds fun whilst playing any game knowing that if I payed a little more than I ALREADY have, I will get something that makes it seem like everything I'm doing now is tedious.
@@johncole5179 It's not P2W if that's what you're implying. That was taken out before launch and replaced with cosmetic MTX. The star card upgrades aren't even that huge and now since you have to play to upgrade them they don't pose any problems.
"What would EA have to do, to get you to buy Battlefront 3?" .... Close down and give the IP to somebody else. No trust for EA at all. They are dead to me.
Seriously though, in all reality the game engine can't handle what the fans really want out of the game and ea clearly can't steer it in the right direction so it really just needs to go to someone else.
The game engine along with consoles is fine. The problem isn't that the graphics/fps aren't clean enough or that the game modes need to house more players; the content was just seriously lacking. Guns, maps, and heroes needed to be pumped at a much quicker rate then what they were. All of this can be easily fixed without the change of an engine, it's just that ea took way to long to finally add content. Because at the end of the day, that's what most of the community wanted from the start. Content, bugfixes, and balancing.
Star wars battlefront 2 was awful at launch for tryhards casual players like me didnt care but now its great for tryhards and casuals but awful for pay to winners.
Nothing is "killing" Halo. They just announced Reach is being added to MCC and it's coming to PC. 5 just had a very mediocre campaign and a push for microtransactions, other than that it has a really great multiplayer suite and probably the best forge. One slight misstep does not equal "killing".
Steve Ocean although halo only had one misstep, the direction halo 5s story took will consequently make the next halos story mediocre despite them possibly trying to mend it. The next halos story will probably be mediocre at best
IP Films I’m not saying the series is doomed or anything like that I’m just saying due to the bad writing of halo 5s story the next games story will be far more difficult to do justice to it. Any true halo fan will have their doubts
Thankfully I only picked up this game in one of EA's price cuts to get player counts up last July I've been hooked ever since (mostly on GA!) I agree with so much in this vid but would also add the glitchyness needs sorting, especially with some hero powers (and why the hell can a starcard powered sniper punch a lightsaber hero to death?!) If they do a SWBF3 I'd want to see a more variety of planets. The SW universe is huge, let's branch out from the films! I'd also want to see a space to ship interior mode (Yes, like the old one!) Also would want to see some sort of target for those of us who play enough to topped out the troopers and player level many planet killing moons ago.
Love your look back at this game. I’ve played casually from 2017 and it’s been really awesome to dive into Star Wars like this. I’ve never really thought about the work that went into orchestral themes. But they do make it feel like a real Star Wars epic battle. Plus the content drops in the last 6 months have been fantastic. Totally agree star cards a a vestigial mess especially hero health cards. 👍
Honestly, I thi k battlefront 2 is a sold 8 out of 10 now. Its great, fun, imaginative, and feels like star wars. Not perfect, but I have a blast playing it.
As a long time player since the beta I can say that this game has truly been transformed and I have witnessed all the changes personally. From the graphical updates to the character models of Chewbacca and Anakin to the added game modes and maps. I love this game and wont stop playing until Battlefront 3
Wonderful review. I just picked up Battlefront 1,2 and all the dlc for $9.99. Glad I did, looks like it will b ok. I just did to satisfy my urge to play the new one coming in Nov. lol thx.
As someone who pre-ordered this game they have really fixed alooooot of the main issues. The new Capital Supremacy mode and saber combat is excellent. Hopefully Anthem goes this same route!
Was at my buddy’s house the other day and we were playing this, I hadn’t seen much gameplay and knew all about the drama regarding it. I was confused when it was really fun! Appreciate this video man just subbed :-)
All of this is good, but I still want the conquest game mode and more open battlefield type maps as well as more emphasis on weapons and classes and less on the star card abilities. Maybe in battlefront 3
Yeah the fact that star cards exist at all holds the game back in a lot of ways. Still fun every now and again but there's better shooters out there right now. The only thing that keeps me coming back is the fact that I fucking love star wars with a passion but other than that its actually really basic.
I've played the game since release. I play it daily to earn credits and nearly have all heroes at max rank while having all classes and vehicles at max rank. I take photos in the game as a hobby and keep in touch with the devs of the game. It's amazing seeing creators such as yourself put positive light on a game you rarely play and it means a lot to the community. Thank you.
I doubt that will happen. Criterion made all the starfighter stuff in the game and they no longer work on it. They also seem really focused on Firestorm.
"You will buy Battlefront 2 for $4.40..." . "I will buy Battlefront 2 for $4.40..." Buys game on Origin. Me: "You will make my download speed faster than 1 tb/s..."
They got it right with Fallen Order at least, but still want more. Would love an open world story Star wars games with custom choices (As well as full character customization) and vehicles to drive and ride. Wish Rockstar or CD could make one.
So, I've been playing for a while now and I think this is thoroughly enjoyable. The single player was quite boring and easy to complete but I genuinely like the diversity in the multiplayer modes. I'm really no good at first person shooters so the fact that your personal impact isn't as large suits me just fine. I didn't buy it 2 years ago because of the rediculous lootboxes but there is no longer any urgency to buy those so that's just fine. All in all, well worth the 10/15 euros which seems to be the going rate now.
"People bought this for the multiplayer" *Literally only bought the game for the Campaign and Arcade mode until it was made clear multiplayer was the only way to get the most out of the money spent at launch*
I really like Battlefront 2, it’s absolutely beautiful, controls are great, and gameplay is really fun, story is short and sweet (which I like in these types of games) and the ship combat is fun. It was shit when it launched, but I’m glad it turned into what it is now. I hate that it was so damaged by its beginning that it’s not getting the credit it deserves now.

It has some flaws for sure but just in the few months I've been playing the devs have actually fixed a bunch of the issues. Most recently saber combat and adding more Heroes, Reinforcements and modes.
Next time EA should just let the devs do their jobs instead of controlling the whole process.
What changed with saber combat?
@@weaverquest They changed the way stamina drains, which used to be pretty bad, and when sabers clashed you would bounce back off people who were blocking.
So now Saber combat is more fluid and based on strategic stamina management and ability use instead of just spam.

I hope they do the same for Battlefield v
Does it have split screen galactic conquest? Then it doesn't make me relive my childhood, it just makes dig my original XBOX out of the closet.
@Sunny Mitten but far more charscters 19.99 is good enough
They need to add Rex and Jango Fett
Rey Beltran it was leaked to be true but they are on hold (everything is almost done for the characters) till new maps are made according to one of the developers

WHAT!? A MAINSTREAM GAMING TH-camR COVERING BATTLEFRONT II!!!??? THIS IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS

This game was a joke lol, but props to the remaining devs for making this game somewhat enjoyable again.
@@biohazerdtrollztrolls4798 wow you can't type for shit💀💀💀
They had us in the first half, not gonna lie
@Prez 18 That's because EA's live service was a scam from the beginning. Since we called them out on their scummy monetization plans. Which meant reworking the entire progression system and going back to the drawing board. They pulled resources from the dev team and now don't care about making enough revenue. So the remaining developers left working on post launch content are feeding off scraps
finally, someone that said what needed too be said about this game, thank you.
Sounds like the same thing that happened with BF4. BF4 started out so buggy and glitchy AND had loot boxes that it was damn near unplayable. Now it is one of the best up there with Bad Co. 2 and BF3

The developers said that player population is back to the same level it was at launch.
But it's not tho there's way more players now than at launch

It really is great, if it had launched where it is right now..oh man this game wouldve been legendary
Reinstalled when anakin came and its now my go to game whe im bored
> even though microtransactions were taken out
For like a month.
> people give this game so much shit
Indirectly. I'm not.
> worth getting for the multiplayer
Your mileage may very, I think.

Heros on the other hand...
you get blue cards in less than 5hrs
As someone who played the week early access thing they were very overpowered. They made huge differences very early on, the health on kill and stuff could be game changers

About the star cards "grind to win" thing, they have had double and maybe even triple xp almost every weekend I believe. So you can level up faster and choose the cards you want to use first. Then spend time unlocking the less interesting ones next.

Games shouldn't be bad at launch. They should already be good and only receive fixes if it's really necessary. And dlc that the fans want.
Like I'm going to repeat plenty of times, the game launched just fine. Everyone just criticized the MTX.
It's like saying the horse race came out healthy, but it's missing a leg.
@@notmilesdavis1666 Actually the game engine CAN handle what the fans really want out of the game, it's the consoles that cannot.
@@swerved9728 oh true, but if they were to make a bf3 today they would definitely have to choose another engine just so consoles could handle it
The game engine along with consoles is fine.

Sami de Jong nah man, you’re not really in the community and in the loop of things if you actually think that
IP Films I’m not saying the series is doomed or anything like that I’m just saying due to the bad writing of halo 5s story the next games story will be far more difficult to do justice to it. Any true halo fan will have their doubts
after 15ish years, you got me interested in battlefront 2 again. nice.
Cheers to Star Wars
I don’t know how the world would be without it
YES! SOMEONE HAS MADE THIS VIDEO! Great job!
I have had this game sitting on the shelf for months. Are you telling me it’s time?
The graphics are amazing on this game. I might go back and give it another chance now
dew it
DEW IT
N L Good Anakin good...
Full fill your destiny
just bought it for $6 on Origin, so im gonna see how it plays tonight
cjallday1130 how was it?
I mean for the money it definately has value. I got it for $5 & was very surprised at just how much game I got 🙂
01:23 when you remember the exact mission from the force unleashed and gets a flashback of you playing it. Great!
I stopped playing at the beginning but after the clone trooper loot box I'm back, I always wanted to play as the 212th and they have done that
Complete turn around. I have come to love this game, I liked it at first and now I love it.
Nah saber combat needs more work.
Picked it up today on sale on the xbox store only $10 bux, NICE.
ChickenNuggets4Days picked it up sauterday my friend got it for 80 we got it for 10 lol
I got it for 7,5€ through origin
@@tuomasheikkinen9251 for me it was 4,5€. where do you live?
@@roomfullofmischief In Finland. Had to pay a tax.
@@tuomasheikkinen9251 ah I see.
Was at my buddy’s house the other day and we were playing this, I hadn’t seen much gameplay and knew all about the drama regarding it. I was confused when it was really fun! Appreciate this video man just subbed :-)
Where's your hoodie's other lace?
Stuck inside the hood, it happens to me all the time.
Now I can't unsee it, thanks... Lol
JMAN1997 they just released capital supremacy, similar to conquest
I've played the game since release. I play it daily to earn credits and nearly have all heroes at max rank while having all classes and vehicles at max rank. I take photos in the game as a hobby and keep in touch with the devs of the game. It's amazing seeing creators such as yourself put positive light on a game you rarely play and it means a lot to the community. Thank you.
I JUST want more Starfighter.
We need more villain ships, maps, and modes
I doubt that will happen. Criterion made all the starfighter stuff in the game and they no longer work on it. They also seem really focused on Firestorm.
"You will buy Battlefront 2 for $4.40..." .
"I will buy Battlefront 2 for $4.40..."
Buys game on Origin.
Me: "You will make my download speed faster than 1 tb/s..."
EA: "HA HA HA!!! Good one. Buy our crystals!"
1 terabyte per second?!
They got it right with Fallen Order at least, but still want more. Would love an open world story Star wars games with custom choices (As well as full character customization) and vehicles to drive and ride. Wish Rockstar or CD could make one.
After this vid and the fact its less than 10$ now im gonna give it a shot
i would have put the singleplayer segment to the beginning of the video
Yeah. I think a lot of people are more interested in the SP than the MP, especially when we haven't had a good SP Star Wars game since KOTOR 2.
amazing work on the entire review. really well done
@2:10...ish on time line... That's Andrew Wilson Still CEO of EA. Not Patrick Söderlund the Ex-Exec
Yeah I was like how did he not know that? Andrew Wilson is notorious. He's like a damn James Bond villain
Thanks dude. Saw it on a 10 euro discount and after watching this video I decided to give it a go.
Hope you enjoy
So, I've been playing for a while now and I think this is thoroughly enjoyable. The single player was quite boring and easy to complete but I genuinely like the diversity in the multiplayer modes. I'm really no good at first person shooters so the fact that your personal impact isn't as large suits me just fine.
I didn't buy it 2 years ago because of the rediculous lootboxes but there is no longer any urgency to buy those so that's just fine.
All in all, well worth the 10/15 euros which seems to be the going rate now.
I remember when battlefront 2 first came out and only a few people could get heroes. But now I see myself getting heroes in almost every match.
"People bought this for the multiplayer"
*Literally only bought the game for the Campaign and Arcade mode until it was made clear multiplayer was the only way to get the most out of the money spent at launch*
Hopefully it'll grow as it deserves.
I've played the beta when it came out, and let me tell you, SWBF2 has improved drastically.
