I think every driver sees and knows where he could have gone at least a tenth faster and when you add up all those small things that's a pretty big difference, that's why they are the best in the world, even if we think they did a perfect stage and couldn't possibly go any quicker, they still want more
Totally :D But try a rally sim on PC once, even after doing a stage many many times and it looks almost perfect in a replay there are seconds to gain from all the small things in corners and gearing etc and you definitely feel it while driving.
This is an amazing layout, only thing thats missing is a small speedometer and rpm somewhere in the corner. Very helpful when playing the WRC game and how to approach them through observation for a newbie.
not familiar with the pedal camera. can someone explain why he never uses the clutch pedal? I know like in f1 they only use it for the start of the race, and then they just shift without using it, but does it work the same for rally?
'It was an okay run' If that was an *OKAY* run, then what is a perfect run? 😅These guys are legends 😎

We need more tarmac rallys, year by year we have less tarmac rallys.
The WRC is almost a gravel championship
The french cup is full tarmac
Can anyone tell me why he pressed the 3rd pedal - I suppose it's the clutch- during some of the hairpins?
i imagine he was avoiding engine stall from the low rpms
@@hyperdrivexgdthat can be a reason, but it is because of the turbo as well.
Care to elaborate?
A Clutch Kick. It helps rotate the car at the apex and also can give an acceleration boost like at 11:07. Used also in drifting to initiate drifts.

Correct, the transmission is a sequential manual similar to F1, they don't generally need to use the clutch pedal to change gears.
Ok im gonna try now on EA WRC 😂

About 8 & 1/2 minutes in his lines started getting cleaner. Starting wider.
