I really dig this idea that the guitarist is the star of an album. Yes, I know - not exactly new but rarely done so ... straight and fantastic. No matter if it's Anders Fridén, Alissa White-Gluss, David Draimann ... or whoever (well ... whoever is available ;-) - it's a great tune if Nita Strauss plays the Guitar, with a little bit Josh Villalta madness)
It’s becoming the standard model for guitarists. Slash did it, Sophie Lloyd is doing it, and now Nita. Who will be next I wonder?

What?... you all are nuts... Excluding the latest album, every In Flames album after Jesper only has like 2-3 killers songs and the rest are just meh... I've loved In Flames for 20 years, so this definitely isn't trolling. Love Anders and his lyrics, but it took a lot for him to find his singing voice; some songs it works, others not to much. But lately it's just amazing. Peace!!
@@aarons6617 well i actually do agree with you, last fully enjoyable album was asop, from then on it shifted from 2-3 "bad" songs to lik 2-3 good songs on an album. But after lots of listens, and hearing them live lots of times i kinda come to the conclusion that it was not Anders or the riffs, it was production cuz live the songs kicked ass, and yes here and there some bland in between parts thats true. But Jesper isn't the answer man and THE (and cyhra, dimension zero,...) Are the proof of it, cause thats just forgetable music

This drummer is absolutely on point & brings a dynamic I haven't heard in nearly 15 years. The piercing guitar melodies nearly give me the same hair raising tingle from the turn of the century. Please don't stop here. Do more of this type of thing, its the sound my ears have been craving to hear for oh so long...

love it - the melodeath riffs and Anders growls. not a fan of Anders' high pitched cleans though, just not really suited to the sound/genre imo. his other cleans are great though, and though the new IF album had possibly their best work since Clayman/reroute

Great music performed by Nita and Josh. Unfortunately, I'm not liking Anders singing. Just not feeling it anymore. Anders is a great singer, actually a better singer now than he's ever been, but I just don't like the new style. I prefer the older Clayman, Reroute to Remain and Soundtrack to your Escape style/sound.
Wonder how much input Anders had into the song writing on this track, coz it could almost be an In Flames song. But you could probably ask that about most of the tracks on the album & I've only listened to 4 so far. For example the track with David Draiman on vocals sounds just like a Disturbed song. That's not taking anything away from Nita's musical ability or guitar playing, as she's a very talented young lady & superb guitarist.
She wrote the song to his strengths.
Which is what In Flames does.
Anders is, 100%, the only reason this actually sounds like an In Flames song.
It's less technical, more melodic, and a bit less interesting.
For me. Maybe a ton of people really dug this, but it's just a solid track, nothing to set the world on fire.
Another amazing video, I love these and hope you keep producing them. All of you rocked it, but the guitarist is my favorite...lol
At this point, it should be called Josh and Nita Band. Way too mucb focus on the drummer here ...which was the most glaring thing about her first solo record. It doesn't look like anything has changed this time around. Hopefully her guitars won't be buried under the drum tracks like the last album, but it's not looking good so far. He's a very good drummer, but come on.
