The galvanized cables that John was referring to were the ones that he’d used to stitch the pipe bombs into Diego’s arms, not the wires connected to the pin triggers. Also, the timers on the bombs didn’t actually start until the end of Diego’s instructional tape, so it’s more likely that the timers on the bombs are activated remotely and pulling the pins just prepped them for activation. Worst thing is those 38 people are dead because of her. I truly want to see her get what’s coming for her in the next film coming later this year because damn she deserves it, she got off so easily. Tbh there’s not much you can do to outsmart Kramer. This movie alone showed he thinks of every possibility and finds a way to twist each possible ending in his favour.
You know what’s interesting. Taking part of your brain out isn’t actually painful. There are no pain receptors in the human brain. Which means that the hard part was cutting through his own scalp. So no the hard part was no taking his own brain out. The hard part was getting to the brain.
I think that by “the hard part” he meant you will handicap yourself for life in the best of the cases. The idea of messing with the brain is terrifying.

for gabriella it would've made so much more sense to me if she broke her wrist first. She would then fall to the floor and have complete freedom of movement to move around, walk distance away from the machine, turn her back on it so her coat protects her etc.
I dont think so Afaik, gamma radiation is only stopped with a huge chunk of lead, and the fall would've made it so much harder for her to break the ankle
I can survive the first trap the same way they filmed it with practical effects. They got somebody with hyper mobility in their fingers so their fingers can be pulled back that 90 degrees. My fingers also do that with ease, therefore, i would survive painlessly. I just have to pray that john would put me in that traps rather than any of the others
Do you play piano by any chance? My joints are generally not flexible (trained karate and never got anywhere near a leg split, so i'm stringy by design), but by training as pianist and organist since age 7, my hand fingers can do 90* backwards with ease. It would still hurt and probably brake something if all 5 fingers were bent simultaneously or over that stright angle. Only thing, i seriously doubt the sturdiness and reliability of that wired device (metal has eough flex not to be precise in that setup). And most of other trap devices John "made" are dubious at best, giving countless points of failure (as they're custom made and can't be extensively tested) or sabotage by a technically savvy person. Ex.g. to stop the wire saw cutting your head it was enough to push the wire out of the cog grooves and get it behind her neck. John have to be at least a lifelong metalworker, genius designer, material science, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, chemistry, explosives, anatomy, biology and psychology expert, posessing massive resources and a hefty machine, electronics and chemical shops etc. to pull off even half of his traps. All while professionally avoiding LEO and public scrutiny without making unpredictable mistakes. That's why this is just a sadistic movie, no matter how gritty and practical it looks.
Something I wonder about the brain surgery trap is if brain matter specifically is needed to be put in the solution. What enzyme is in the solution? And what’s the end product being measured to release the key? Is there an enzyme that specifically breaks down brain matter that wouldn’t break down other biological material, such as flesh? Is it a protease? Is it measuring amino acids? Also, I imagined that trap to play out as Matteo doing the deed and the key being released, but his motor functions being impaired, making him unable to actually pick up the key and use it successfully. Still would’ve ticked the boxes of showing us him playing the game and the trap ultimately going off anyway, just with an extra cruel twist. Like, why even set up the trap that way, as opposed to the trap automatically releasing upon completion, if not for the extra step to come into play?
For what I know there is no enzyme that could act that fast. Maybe he should have put a HF it’s not like anyone there would protested or cared. But I’m more intrigued by someone able to cut their leg off and not pass out from pain.
@@songbirdrebel5895 most of the jigsaw traps are very unfair lol breaking 5 fingers is nothing compared to everything else... the first trap would have like a 99% survival rate and only idiots would stop after 3 fingers... even if we assume that you cant just break all 5 at once but you would do 1 by 1 as fast as you can regardless of pain because you wanna survive, the brain surgery one in comparison is unbeatable because UNLESS you are a real brain surgeon... you would be unable to take chunks of brain out without forever making you braindead or crippled or worse.... thats like jigsaw saying cut out your heart and put it on a scale to survive great... basically the brain surgery trap was a guaranteed death sentence regardless if you complete it or not he shouldve just cut his own throat instead of trying quicker death as he was doomed from start
Yea that whole trap was completely unsurvivable imo. 3 min to preform brain surgery on yourself, with an auto timer that starts before you even do anything. On top of that, it isn't even really 3 min since it takes time for the brain stuff to dissolve in the beaker thing, which is how he got got. Completely unfair, same with the leg trap with the wire saws. You would not be able to get through a whole leg in 3 min to and complete the second task, too much blood loss.
my first gripe while seeing this movie in theaters was that a belt is a HORRIBLE tourniquet. even if valentina had managed to amputate and suck the marrow out enough to escape, she would've likely bled out very soon anyway, or had massive nerve damage that'd result in the rest of her leg being lost anyway
Given what happened with Diego, jigsaw would have likely treated her wounds immediately. Its entirely possible she screwed herself over by putting the tournaquet on. The few seconds could have saved her, but she had no possible way of knowing
John got Diego to tell him where everyone was before his trap. We know this because before Diego frees himself he says “I told you what you needed to know”
I think he got Hoffman to find out Henry’s whereabouts on the mainland of North America and look at the blonde woman’s bank statements which he knew her along with the others wasn’t they first time scamming. But you’re correct Diego told him where he could locate the others in Central America
I’m a newer saw fan, having gotten into it around last year in March. Getting to see a saw movie IN THEATERS like that when I thought the franchise was over was incredibly special to me. I fucking love saw and I went in costume as Adam from saw 0.5 (a bloody shirt and a reverse bear trap nothing crazy lmao). I’m so excited for the new movies coming out soon
John has no moral compass as the films go on, he hates: Prostitutes, drug users, people who are depressed and the list goes on, these people didn't even wrong him or if they do it's so small it shouldn't really count. (These are all examples from his traps no one elses.)
Someone:throws a wrapper away Jigsaw:you have to remove both of your legs and feed them to these dogs while your right hand is being pulled back painfully
I love that jigsaw isn’t completely crazed to the core about torture, and he gives poor Carlos all the money and even walks him home. That does show at least jigsaw only goes for the crooks, scumbags, and scammers.
If I were in Valentina's shoes or Mateo's, I'd rather just die. Very good chance you pass out from hemorrhagic shock in the former, and you cannot do the latter in 3 minutes, if at all. Neurogenic shock is also possible in the latter.
Third one was possible if Mateo was quick enough, but he hesitated, which ended him right then and there like it did with Valentina, and like you said both would have had to deal with shock from their injuries. Cutting into your skull isn't something you can walk away from unscathed. Valentina's trap was at least relatively quick to kill her. Mateo's was a slow and insidious death.
for the brain matter trap, he has a cutting tool and the heating elemants are exposed (they are just resistive wires) he could cut them and they would not be able to heat up as the circuit is now open.
Considering some of the other traps, I think Kramer thought about the possibility of Mateo trying to cut the wires on the mask to stop the heating bars from... well... heating up. Besides, that thing still closes in on Mateo's head, and I don't think there's any way he can breathe through it, so in the end he most likely would have suffocated.
35:07 gun ammo will still fire without powder as the primer is explosive too. These powderless bullets won't have nearly as much power, but it'll still easily kill.
nah, it would cause a squib (the bullet being stuck in the middle of the barrel, don't use a working ammo on a squibbed barrel it would blow up in your face)

John: hey I need help and I’m definitely not the infamous “Jigsaw” okay? The scammers: yeah ok well we don’t care and we are scammers so have fun John: well I am the infamous “Jigsaw” so have fun dying
Valentina had the easiest death, but she also deserved to live given she would have survived had she had a few more seconds. I feel like if John was a bit more redeemable he would've let Valentina free because the time putting on the tourniquet was the only reason she failed. Mateo's trap I think was just unfair because he was given 3(?) minutes but not told how long it would take for the enzymes to dissolve his brain matter. How long would it take? His timer should have been to put the brain matter into the beaker, not including the time for it to dissolve. Then it would've been more fair. A few seconds would have saved him from a brutal death, seconds wasted just WAITING. Gabriela I really felt bad for, and it was nice to see that like with the driver, she passed her challenge and John IMMEDIATELY went to try to help and save her which is something we don't usually get to see but it's good that he tried. I discovered ofc that with most Saw traps...I would not bother trying. The driver? Naw, I'm hoping these pipe bombs kill me. Cut off my leg? Naw, good thing decapitation may be quick for me. Brain matter? I'm gonna off myself with these tools instead so I don't have to die an agonizing death. Gabriela? I guess she had no better options to get out of this but I guess I'd do whatever sooner ends my pain. Bloodboarding? I guess I'd have to kill myself so I didn't have to essentially kill someone else, but that sounds awful. Same with the lover's quarrel thing. I would not be able to kill someone else to save myself unless maybe they were like a monster of some sort. But yeah no most traps I would just...let kill me or I would off myself so I could have a less painful death
@JR-bu7we the decapitation specifically. My point was just that she and Mateo both would've survived of not for the technicalities of time dissolving and time putting on a tourniquet. They deserved to live off those attempts but the point is that Valentina's actual death was at least quick unlike Mateo's
@ralphcaluag2403 yeah, but John at least tried also that was one of the few moments in the series along with the pipe bombs and the bloodboarding scenes where he was like kinda almost a decent dude aside from his insanity obviously
I would find it easy to snap my finger to save my eyes. I'd crank that handle round so fast I wouldn't register pain till it was over. What i could never do is cut off my leg to save my life - especially with that saw which takes ages and real strength and determination to pull each time. Couldn't even consider it. Would just sit there and die.
Depressed people who are suicidal don’t want to die. They just want to stop to the feelings they feel. This wouldn’t be a showdown and the person would have the exact same reaction.
What about Valentina? My girl didn’t even make enough to stop doing sex work, an already dangerous profession, bc Cecilia (and Parker) take the lion’s shares of profits.
Kinda shows how petty John is. Instead of seeing the people running the systems that force these people to do crime just to survive, he targets the victims of a situation they're stuck in. They shouldn't have done what they did considering the damage they've done. But hot damn if some of these people don't deserve it at all. I mean, calling in sick from work gets you burned alive? Fuck sake I did that today and I wasn't even sick... Guess I deserve immolation?
For what it's worth, every trap in the saw franchise that jigsaw makes are literally designed to be survivable (at least for the person being "tested"), and they're told exactly what they need to do to do so. It's just that when the answer results in mutalating yourself and extreme pain, anyone would try to find another way, which is what kills them

I think the part of the movie that's actively impacting this video, is that Amanda's obsession with just making unwinnable situations is already affecting the games. In the cases of the bone marrow and brain traps, the risk of the solution being completely fatal is almost as high as just being killed by the trap.
if Valentina was smart enough she could've tried catching her leg after it was cut off and got the marrow out of that saving her some pain and maybe even beating the trap

He literally gives people barely any chance either, he enjoys having control and a feeling of moral superiority which is based on delusion.

I dont think so
Afaik, gamma radiation is only stopped with a huge chunk of lead, and the fall would've made it so much harder for her to break the ankle
He would probably make you a trap that flips your fingers in 2 directions simultaneously.
@@antoniohagopian213 what like doing little finger splits? Because i can do that too.
im wondering bout the sawing one could she not create a lever fast enough to lever the wire from the pulleys?
Nah probably more like a trap that pulls the tip of your finger up and the middle downward or possibly left and right@poisonedbubbletea270
Well, the second part would kinda be a point, too - he played pretend with doing surgeries, he's gonna die for not even learning how to pretend well.
For what I know there is no enzyme that could act that fast. Maybe he should have put a HF it’s not like anyone there would protested or cared.
But I’m more intrigued by someone able to cut their leg off and not pass out from pain.
Now that you mentioned it, I wouldn't be surprised if that trap/game was rigged. But then, rigging a "game" isn't John's style.
“Talk about a splitting headache!” Dam bro that’s wilddd 💀
Me: *calls someone a poopy head*

my first gripe while seeing this movie in theaters was that a belt is a HORRIBLE tourniquet. even if valentina had managed to amputate and suck the marrow out enough to escape, she would've likely bled out very soon anyway, or had massive nerve damage that'd result in the rest of her leg being lost anyway
Moral of the story: Never mess with John Kramer
If I were in Valentina's shoes or Mateo's, I'd rather just die. Very good chance you pass out from hemorrhagic shock in the former, and you cannot do the latter in 3 minutes, if at all. Neurogenic shock is also possible in the latter.
The mask one would take you many minutes to actually die
Dr. ER said it should not kill you unless the burns in the mask obstructed your airway, if I remember properly.@@antoniohagopian213
Imagine scamming jigsaw himself god really must hate you in everyway possible but you can talk to entity himself soon💀
This made my day 💀
for the brain matter trap, he has a cutting tool and the heating elemants are exposed (they are just resistive wires) he could cut them and they would not be able to heat up as the circuit is now open.
Actually smart
Considering some of the other traps, I think Kramer thought about the possibility of Mateo trying to cut the wires on the mask to stop the heating bars from... well... heating up. Besides, that thing still closes in on Mateo's head, and I don't think there's any way he can breathe through it, so in the end he most likely would have suffocated.

Or just cut the pulley system
Valentina had the easiest death?!?? That’s arguably the worst death in the series. Unless you’re only referring to the decapitation at the end of it.
@JR-bu7we the decapitation specifically. My point was just that she and Mateo both would've survived of not for the technicalities of time dissolving and time putting on a tourniquet. They deserved to live off those attempts but the point is that Valentina's actual death was at least quick unlike Mateo's
Except Gabriella still died because Cecilia is a selfish prick... Killing her for her own convenience.
For what it's worth, every trap in the saw franchise that jigsaw makes are literally designed to be survivable (at least for the person being "tested"), and they're told exactly what they need to do to do so. I think the part of the movie that's actively impacting this video, is that Amanda's obsession with just making unwinnable situations is already affecting the games. In the cases of the bone marrow and brain traps, the risk of the solution being completely fatal is almost as high as just being killed by the trap.
I somehow managed to watch this as soon as released
The trap where she had to extract bone marrow, I wouldn't even try to do it I would just accept my fate.
if Valentina was smart enough she could've tried catching her leg after it was cut off and got the marrow out of that saving her some pain and maybe even beating the trap
3:00 fun fact, your eyes can also rotate like a rolling barrel this is why when laying down everything still appears to we up right. Also with certain concentration, SOME people can prevent this otherwise involuntary movement
