I have been a Pendragon fan since the beginning. And I am an old guy and have loved and appreciated the work of Greg Stafford (all his efforts in our hobby). He is one my TTRPG creator heroes. RIP Greg Stafford. And Pendragon 6th Edition is absolutely amazing and fantastic and the best of all time. You folks have done such a great honor to Greg with you completing this. I think that Pendragon has practically become the anti-D&D now. Dungeons & Dragons is largely driven by it’s powers now. You go up Levels and accumulate various powers and that is the game. For Pendragon, you are playing Knights who have no supernatural powers to speak of, and are vulnerable to injury, sickness and old age.The emphasis shifts to establishing family and creating mood, yet it is still epic, classic fantasy with rich literature traditions.
I remember the first time I got pendragon back in the late 80 early 90’s. I started the story and had my players meet a giant in DND this would be a fun but not deadly encounter it was a TPK. I learned a valuable lesson Pendragon is like an old story if you come against a ‘Monster’ it should be something for bards to sing of not just Tuesday.
I really enjoyed the part where Jeff said that the knights could be from anywhere because Arthur was just that awesome, really put things in perspective for me
There was a story I read a while ago where Greg Stafford was pitching the game to a friend of his over the phone and she stopped him and said "I will only play if I can be a lesbian jewish female knight" (or something to that effect) and Greg, without missing a beat, told her "Cool! Come on by tomorrow, we'll get your character made up no problem." Because the game is built on a legend where Camelot is this amazing melting pot of people from all over and anyone can submit themselves in the attempt to gain glory and prestige.

When I was a kid in the 80s, Pendragon and MERP were the only TTRPG games my Mom would allow me to buy.

The guy could be honest and said we add women knight because it will add something new and women are invited to play too. Simple.
