Brooke, it’s worth it to blanch the peaches so that the skins slip off. You will retain all of the flesh. Put the fresh peaches in simmering water for about 30 seconds then immediately transfer to ice water. Works like a charm !
Brooke, to easily peel peaches and tomatoes I dip them in boiling water for about 15-20 seconds ( it may be longer depends on the skin) and then pop into cold water to stop the cooking process and the peels just slip off, there is little waste and less time
Long ago I learned that trick after peeling most of a bushel of peaches that my husband brought home. When I went to work the next day a few of the ladies I worked with told me about doing this. I had a few left and tried it. I won’t peel peaches or tomatoes any other way now. What a time saver!
The kitties look so happy playing on their new Castle. I have never had peach cobbler before, but I love peaches. I want to try your recipe Thank You for the recipe.
That's a great post! My tuxedo (like Sylvester) is the only one who is "allowed" to use the crow's nest at the very top. He has decided it is his. His friends can use the other levels. Of course, as a tuxedo, he thinks he can fly and is the only one of our 3 cats who is found on top of the kitchen cabinets, the dressers, and of course up in his crow's nest. What fun!
I have a calico who is the same way She is always at the highest level possible, no matter what surface she's on. She loves the top of the cabinets and refrigerator too. My other kittie loves the hammock on the cat tree. 😁
I have found that tuxedo kitties love water too! They are the cats cat - I love their personalities! You have some sweet kitties and thank you for making them part of your family. (I never said ALL liked water, but having worked in rescuing I did find tuxedos were often more likely to like water. Sorry for the misunderstanding.)
@conniecreightonandcrafts7274 that's a lie not all cats love water it doesn't matter if they are tuxedos. I have a tuxedo and she doesn't love water she only loves it to drink
I was just thinking this morning, that I think your family has to be the neatest and most caring farm family I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I am proud to be part of the Cog Squad.
I know the kitties will love their new play ground. Love the video showing how you make your cobbler and taste testing the freeze dry peaches. I know it is so delicious. Making my mouth water just thinking about eating some cobbler with ice cream.
You know you can make peach jelly from the peels. Also, if you get a pan of water boiling. You can drop your peaches in for about a minute. Then when you get them out the peel will slide right off. Not sure who loves the cat tower more… the kittens or Jason. I so want a freeze dryer. But just not gonna happen. Jason, you are a lucky man with such an amazing wife.
It won't be lomg until the kittens are traveling through the cat tree at warp speed. i have been eating freeze dried fruits for the past few days. Mango is my favorite.
Brooke, I have to tell you that you are the most remarkable woman I have ever had the privilege of watching on your videos!!! I mean this from the bottom of my heart. You cook, build, operate a tractor, birth babies, build barns, feed animals, make sure your family is taken care of, freeze dry anything and have raised an incredibly amazing daughter!!!!! Girl you are IT...Such a beautiful role model...God bless you darlin...,
We have recently rescued a little Tuxedo kitten. We saw a video with yours(Sylvester), and ours are identical! Ours name is “Timmy”, and his rescue story starts off in one of our nesting boxes in the chicken coop.. his mom which is semi feral had Timmy in our chicken coop that we had been working on, my husband was out there, put up new screen and kept hearing something, looked down in nesting box and he thought it was a baby skunk at first. But we left him there, because we realized then because his mama was pacing outside of the area, and that’s why, she needed to be with her baby. My husband is not a cat person, but this kitten! There’s something about him… he’s even different than any cat I’ve ever been around, he’s got extra toes or paws.. it’s called something I can’t recall the name, but his paws are huge because of this. But our Timmy is our sweet boy that has stolen my husband’s heart.
Mary you are thinking of the Polydactyl Cat (usually 6 toes) Hemingway lived on the Florida Keys with his several Polydactyl cats.. They are still alive and thriving in the Keys some adopted others are just well taken care of…
@@marlamork7350 that’s it! He was always so clumsy, and when I was holding him one evening, I paid attention to his odd paws. I love them. His mom has them too.
THE SECRET TO HELPING CATS GET USED TO A CAT TOWER IS YOU PUT CATNIP ON IT. Like on the base and all levels! I was wondering how much time did it take to rehydrate the peach slices in the water?
That was quick thinking Jason!! Not another kitty!! Not in New Zealand!!! I love you two!! You’re both so sweet and funny!! Watch your channels daily!!🥰😘
It looks as though the kittens are very pleased with their new play station condominium... it's Perrrrrfect! 🐈⬛ Plus I'm definitely trying your cobbler recipe . Thanks Brooke.
Brooke this cat tower is what I’ve told you about in a couple of my comments for Brsmble before you even got Sylvester! I know they will love it and enjoy having fun on and in it!! I’m glad you found one on Market place to save money!! I love peach cobbler so yummy , thanks for posting your recipe for us! I’m going yo check into putting a freeze dryer on lay-a-way plan , I’ll let y’all know if I can swing it !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈
That cobbler sure looked good Miss Brooke! By the way, when listening to you talk to the kitties, I thought you would be great at reading children's books to kids. You have such a gentle calming voice. God Bless and have a great day. I wonder what you'll be freezing next? 🤔
Maybe Sylvester took to the tower more quickly because he is used to the presence of scent/markers of an other cats as a matter of practice. That being said,so delightful to see BOTH enjoying it by morning! PS Don't let Peaches see it. She'll want one pig-version for her new office in the barn! (Lovely video, y'all!)
Hi Brooke and Jason... I'm glad the kittens like their tower! My cats always loved their towers! Yummy on the peach cobbler 🙂 Have a wonderful day! 💜❤❌⭕
Not another kitty 🤣🤣🤣 That was funny Jason.. Btw,, couldn't you also put the cat tower in the barn when the kitty's are ready to go out there. That would be way cool. Now that I think about it, that was probably your guys plan along... 🤔 lol.. I'm a little slow... 🥴😆😆
We just adopted 2 little ginger kittens, Charlie is 12 weeks and Avery is 10 weeks and you have convinced me I need a cat tower for them 😁 love your kittens, they are sooo cute!
Brooke's teeth are so bright white and she is lookin gooood! God bless and thanks for blessing us all with the kittens and the cobler....:) Need to see the Jason peach cobler dance!
You could give Bramble and Sylvester their own channel and I'll bet it would be a hit! The cuteness! I felt like I could taste that yummy peach cobbler right through the computer screen! I need to find me a low carb version...

Blanching peaches for a couple of minutes saves time and very little of the peach is lost to peeling. Now I am so hungry for some cobbler!
What a wonderful wife! Gave him the first scoop from the middle! Jason, go pick her a beautiful bouquet of roses from her kitchen.
the cats look happy. the peach cobbler look good try nutmeg or put drizzle carmel on top. be bless and love and safe. 6/29/2023 SAVANNAH TN.

I loved her face when he said that!
My husband would say that too. 😂
@TFDwrit I know her sweet face had me. 😂
Put more peaches in your pie.

Put some catnip on the cat tower, that will temped them to accept it.😊
Kittens will really enjoy their tower.

Great kitty purchase
I think I could smell the peach cobbler
Great find Brooke, the kittens are going to enjoy this.
Yes, Jason is a willing taste tester. Love this episode 😊
A big one is great.
It’s safe to say the kittens enjoy having the tower to play with and that peach cobbler has made me hungry
I’d throw a couple of cushions on the floor for them to aim to
That’s an awesome toy for the babies and they have grown so fast they’ll be going outside before you know it. Wow.❤❤
I enjoy your channel very much
Blanching your peaches makes them really easy to peel. You can peeling them using just your fingers
The kitten tower made a hit with Bramble and Sylvester. The peach cobbler looked deeelicious!!!!! ❤️🍊
Love your family, your critters, and most of all the way y’all love your critters! Especially the kitties!!❤
That cat tower is exactly like the one that I have for my Prince (black cat)! He uses his when him and my York's (Rascal) are playing chase!

That cat tree is wonderful! It's in pristine condition as well.
That produce looks so good! I love that y'all have the honor system there.
Yes, it didn't even look used! We have had to replace the front 2 scratching poles already on ours. But I have 5 babies that use it everyday!
Those peaches are much bigger than the ones I buy in the Netherlands, that’s for sure
I love to see how much Jason appreciates good food!! It puts a smile on my face every time.
Oh, BROOKE looks so pretty here.... And cute talking with Jason
Love you all. GOD bless you all. Have a good night. Hopefully you sleep and the kitties play quietly on the tree.
