Jason, Jason, Jason… I tell you what, you rightly oughta be proud! That railing looks fantastic. And Miss Brooke’s reaction was just so heart-warming. So many of us just adore y’all, and we so enjoy you sharing these special moments with us.
Speaking of which, I don’t mean to take away from the spectacular railing job, but I did want to say that I was especially touched by the moments with Nugget. I know that’s just a day-to-day occurrence in your life, and you’ve maybe lost perspective on how significant it is… an Alabama man and his friendly EMU, sittin’ together in the late-afternoon, enjoying one another’s company. It really is so very, very special, and I hope you never lose sight of how the good Lord has blessed you with such an extraordinary experience.
Jason, you preface every project with “ y’all know I’m not a carpenter “, then you go and do something like this! It’s beautiful, absolutely perfect for your home.
I think he's thinking of a fine woodworker or high end cabinetmaking. I've seen him do the work of a cabinetmaker before, and for sure, he _is_ the equivalent of a finish carpenter who does moldings and makes sure all the angles come out correctly. So he probably just doesn't know the terms. He is clearly a finish carpenter, a carpenter, arguably a cabinetmaker, but not (so far) a high end cabinetmaker or fine woodworker. He could clearly do those things though, he does fine at anything he turns his hand too if he's interested.

I am always touched by the courtesy between you two. Oftentimes couples don't extend "pardon me" , "excuse me", "thank you" or "I'm sorry" or similar courtesies to their spouses; they do it to other people, but take each other for granted. I still believe that charity begins at hope. Great lesson for MaryCarl.

Who knew Jason was a hidden stair master! That railing turned out exceptional!
Amazing! Jason's 'built with love' railing is perfection. Your home was lovely and perfect for your family and your property. But it seemed something was missing. Similar to cupcakes without icing. Jason's railing is the perfect 'icing' - your home is officially 'finished'. I was shedding tears when Brooke was entering. I was 100% crying once she saw the railing until the video ended. Watching this family instills a type of peace during difficult times and hope for our crazy world. Brooke, MaryCarl and Jason are three of the finest people to ever exist. Their love and devotion to one another are beyond comparison. I know we are fortunate to have this channel so we can see snippets of their wonderful life together.

This is THE most wholesome video I’ve ever seen! So beautiful from beginning to end! And my mama’s heart felt how relieved Brooke was to have that rail so that NONE of her babies would be in danger of falling anymore.

The stair rail is fabulous. You’re a much better carpenter than you give yourself credit for. The best part is that now the family and the pets are safe from falling off. My mom use to say that sometimes a bad thing could end up being a good thing. It was a bad thing that the welder took you for your money and didn’t do his job. But in the end it was a good thing because you got a rail that looks better than what he would have done, and you can be proud because you did it yourself.

I wondered in the back of my mind if there was more to the stair rail delay than simply scheduling. You and Ms Brooke taken the high road very beautifully with respect to not blasting your disappointment business all over social media; that karma will come back to reward you. It is so wonderful that you two have the design capability, aesthetic and functional vision, and what it takes to actually construct your own darned stair railing.
They're just such kind people. When I think of them that's what I think of kindness to other's. Look at how they worked with the cabinet maker. They gave him the time to finish the job, understanding that he had problems with getting help. Like so many other businesses during this pandemic. I mean the restaurants are still having trouble keeping help... But this other guy was just a crook and like everybody saying, will bite him in the butt later...
