I have to say, those dynamic shots are awesome. You really get to see just how fast you are going, I'd definitely like to see something like them for x momentum Sonic.
A speedrun God
damn its been a while since ive paid much attention to speedruns of this game. the ending strats have gotten a lot better since I last remembered them being. good shit! very quality tutorial, makes me wanna get back into the grind haha
I've been doing purely casual runs of this game since 2.1.20 or something, and I have played immense amounts of the game.
This is still a great guide that is well explained and helps in routing, as people like me who purely route on experience and experimentation don't often read long route guides on official websites or the discord.

SBC said he was going to do tutorials for tails and Lunick said he might do tutorials for knuckles at some point so i will leave those characters to them. i did used to run a little bit of metal sonic when 2.2 first came out though so i could look into making a guide for metal after ive finished everything for sonic.

You mind dropping what settings you use? I can’t get the camera to turn fast enough to aim for the speed shoes properly
i have slightly faster than normal sensitivitiy but for the most part when it comes to mouse settings, mine are basically default.
you can turn up the sensitivity as well if you feel like its not fast enough for you.
what keyborad control settings do u use to make this video?

Btw isn't it faster to just hug the steam pipe and the beginning instead of jumping on them since you get a little bit farther
Or maybe when you do it the normal way and don't hug the wall you can move farther ?
yeah technically it's faster to run into it and not hit the wall but the time difference between hugging the wall and jumping onto it is so small i decided not to mention it since its something you learn anyway after restarting this level a bunch.
still tho thanks for pointing it out, it definitely can save you a couple of frames.

how do you go so fast isn't there a speed cap
you only get speed capped if you run on the ground for long. there is also a speed cap for thokking but you can bypass that by doing bunnyhops.
