I told them: " I would if I could as they are a part of me!" I even had a doctor's document stating my condition. They laughed and said "Ok, but we'll scan you anyway ." I still get a chuckle when I think about it. 😅

Don’t wear clothes that have even tiny metal studs on them. I had worn a pair of pants with tiny studs near the waistband. I couldn’t figure out why the alarm was going off.
I have been a regular flyer for many years. Johannesburg to Edinburgh, Johannesburg to Australia. I have never once been searched or stopped. I must look like a sweet little old lady .
I usually wear ponte knit pants when flying because they're comfortable and look nice at the same time, and they usually cause no issue at security. On my last trip, I unfortunately chose a pair with ribbons going down the ankles through metal loops. Both legs of the trip, I was subjected to a patdown specifically because of those pants. I definitely know better now!

First, I am so sorry to hear you are battling breast cancer. You can actually opt out of going through the body scanners. You just have to say that you opt out but just know that doing so will require a full body pat down from a TSA agent. I hope cancer treatments are going well for you. Keep fighting!

titanium doesn't always set off a metal detector because they are non-ferrous but will show up in a scanner. My wife has two new knees, so we know about that.
I think a lot depends on the setting they have the machines set on. I have double knee replacements & tell them before going through security. Depending on the airport sometimes they go off other times not.

There is no chance of me ever flying anywere ever again , i refuse to be subject to this kind of treatment . and now that i have knee replacement for both legs it will be atomatic .the last time i flew was in 97 and tho it is the best way to go longer distances i will never alow myself to be treated so badly.
A doctor's note is not required but it helps if you have one. You will be able to get through security just fine. It just may require some additional screening if you are not able to remove the iwalk. Have a great first flight!
You will just need to let the security officers know that you have the dressing bandages before you enter the body scanner. That way they know what it is when it shows up on the imaging screen. Other than that you should be able to go through the security process normally without any issues.

I went thru TSA with a catheter strapped to my leg. I brought a doctors letter, but no one even questioned why I had a bag strapped to my leg. Going through the checkpoint, the x-ray Cleary showed my catheter strapped to my leg. No one tried to do extra screening, and just in case, I did have a doctors letter

A doctor's note is not required for any of the items that you mentioned. You just need to inform the TSA officer that you have these items before you get screened. A nebulizer would not count as a second personal item so you are good there.
I was a police officer at a checkpoint. Some clown tried to be funny and take everything off except for his briefs. He went through security but was then held so the airline can check with their GSC and the captain to see if they wanted him flying, He was able to make his flight barely but it dawned on him how stupid that stunt was.

You can either keep it in your carry-on, hold it in your hand when going through the body scanner or you can ask for a private screening room. Whichever you feel more comfortable with. Just don't keep it in your checked bag.

You can carry non liquid dry homemade food. As long as the food is cooked you shouldn't have too many problems bringing food into another country. Fresh meats, vegetables, and fruits will generally not be allowed into another country.

It depends on the watch. Smart watches are ok to keep on but if you are wearing a watch with metal components then it's going to be best to store it in your bag until you are through security.
I truly HATE tip one "Shoes that are easy to slip on and off" ,,,,, there is an emergency on the plane your easy to slip off shoes have flown through the cabin and you are endeavouring to exit a plane with bare feet..
If your belt does not alarm you will not be told to remove it, generally body piercing will not be a problem, TSA does not care about offensive clothing .... airline might but TSA does not, You will not be taken to private room and told to remove religious head ware unless you are wearing a hijab and your entire face is covered, You ne ver be told to remove medical devices, they can be screened while still wearing it.
If someone only flies only once or twice a year or less it may not be worth it for that person to pay for precheck. I think it's worth the cost even if you don't fly that often. It saves so much time.

Yes, you can wear a wig but if it contains metal clips then they are going to want to inspect it. In this case you can request a private screening room where they may ask you to take it off.
I’m sorry, but I’m not into wearing pyjamas and flip flops or slippers through the airport. After watching your suggestions, that seems to be the only thing that’s left. Some of us prefer to wear decent clothes on our travels and, if airport security personnel really cannot get decent screening equipment then they’re going to have to put up with the ladies and gentlemen left in travel who will need more time to pass through their inefficient security procedures-both to take off and put on real and decent travel clothing rather than sleep or sportswear! I get where you are coming from and I agree with you. I don’t advocate wearing pajamas or flip flops through the airport and I don’t believe I mentioned that you should wear those items either. Like you, I prefer to be more dressed up than the average person and that’s why at the end of the video I do advocate getting tsa precheck to avoid having to take off any item of clothing and to make going through security a whole lot easier. Sorry you found the video unhelpful but I know others have benefited from the video.

However, listening to you, I felt it was my only option and I have been sickened by the slovenly way people are beginning to travel nowadays. Sadly too, TSA clear is only available to Americans and the security clearance I had in mind was also international and I travel mostly and a lot overseas where Clear is not an option for Americans.
Don't wear long dresses and lose clothes and boots if you hope just go through AMD but not HHMD. You just waste both us and your time. DON'T blame us. We just follow the orders of the government to check each hair of you 😂

Is getting a note required? I am an amputee and use something called an iwalk which is like a crutch. I will be going on my first ever flight
A doctor's note is not required but it helps if you have one. You will be able to get through security just fine. It just may require some additional screening if you are not able to remove the iwalk. Have a great first flight!

Hi, I have a couple of dressing bandages on my back covering small wounds which are still healing. Can I pass through the security without any hassle?
You will just need to let the security officers know that you have the dressing bandages before you enter the body scanner. That way they know what it is when it shows up on the imaging screen. Other than that you should be able to go through the security process normally without any issues.
I just got a SCS installed, this next Monday will be my flight with it. Best part is my left knee has been replaced also. 😮

Simple earrings and rings are ok to keep on but for everything else you should keep your jewelry in your carry-on or personal item luggage.

😂😂😂 I AWLAYS opt out of the scanners. I wear a belt, extra stuff, etc. The TSA is a 4th Amendment violation and a 10th Amendment violation. I live to make life difficult for tyrants. PHUQ the TSA.

Yes, you can wear a wig but if it contains metal clips then they are going to want to inspect it. In this case you can request a private screening room where they may ask you to take it off.

I’m sorry, but I’m not into wearing pyjamas and flip flops or slippers through the airport. After watching your suggestions, that seems to be the only thing that’s left. Some of us prefer to wear decent clothes on our travels and, if airport security personnel really cannot get decent screening equipment then they’re going to have to put up with the ladies and gentlemen left in travel who will need more time to pass through their inefficient security procedures-both to take off and put on real and decent travel clothing rather than sleep or sportswear! I’m sorry, but your video is unhelpful and encourages a continued downward spiral in what is a decent and honourable standard for passengers on public transport.
I get where you are coming from and I agree with you. I don’t advocate wearing pajamas or flip flops through the airport and I don’t believe I mentioned that you should wear those items either. Like you, I prefer to be more dressed up than the average person and that’s why at the end of the video I do advocate getting tsa precheck to avoid having to take off any item of clothing and to make going through security a whole lot easier. Sorry you found the video unhelpful but I know others have benefited from the video.
Thanks very much for your gracious reply. Yes, I did not hear you say pyjamas and flip flops. However, listening to you, I felt it was my only option and I have been sickened by the slovenly way people are beginning to travel nowadays. Sadly too, TSA clear is only available to Americans and the security clearance I had in mind was also international and I travel mostly and a lot overseas where Clear is not an option for Americans.
