  • Cessna Citation Latitude C680A Delivery from Wichita, KS(KICT) to Doncaster UK(EGCN) on Monday February 17, 2020. Unfortunatley we experienced a landing gear mafunction on takeoff that caused us to have to return to KICT. The culprit ended up being a bad seal inside the nose strut that caused the nose gear to seize in place and not have full travel to contact the weight off wheels switch.

    I own a model rc version of this jet and looks beautiful in the air. Nice flight and camera view😉

    Great Video! Did you guys depart with your Intl Ops LOA? If so, how far back did you start the process?

      Leonardo Perez thank you very much! Are you talking about the RVSM LOA?

      About the intl ops manual since they do SAFA ramp checks in Europe 😬

      Leonardo Perez we do not have to have a LOA to operate Internationally. We are flying a U.S. Registered Aircraft. The United States follows ICAO Standards for aircraft manufacture. Can you be ramp checked? Yes. But as long as the aircraft is airworthy it doesn’t matter. Additionally it’s a brand new airplane, so not much to worry about anyway.

      Leonardo Perez of course! To answer your second question, we usually start the process of moving the aircraft Internationally 2-3 months if it’s a brand new aircraft off of the line. Especially if we are doing the acceptance flights. We also have done International movements with a few days notice. Luckily we have a very good International Dispatch Department.

      I was working on a good set up. I’ve had other things come up so have put TH-cam aside for a while. I will eventually get a XLS+ delivery trip to China up with several angles and great audio. Just need to find some time.

      @@megamilyon6111 :Coincidence is the happening of one or more events which produce results which were unexpected; irony refers to different singular events happening where the result is exactly opposite of what was expected literally."
      Clearly in your attempt to show your superior intelligence to the rest of us you missed the sarcasm. So knowing that, was the seal failing a TOTALLY unexpected failure or could an argument be made that it just produced a singular result opposite of what was expected (that expected result being that it would work)? Notice nowhere does the later mention NOT being surprised if that opposite result is realized but it still isn't NOT EXPECTED!Their is a difference.
      I appreciate someone correcting my grammer and punctuation. But there is a right way and wrong way to do it. Instead of being rude about it, you could have used it as an opportunity to teach. I've purposly put at least 10 other errors in this comment please find them and this time teach us what I did wrong....or be on your merry way ! I'll even give you a possible hint (or misdirection).....was "sarcasm" the right word for me to use above???

    Nice looking airplane.
    Aside from the Garmin touchscreen avionics, are there significant differences between the Latitude and the Sovereign?

    • @tallyho4483
      @tallyho4483  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So it depends on if your looking at the Sovereign Legacy or the Sovereign +. The Sovereign + and Latitude are almost the exact same. The only real difference is the Tube. The difference between the Legacy Sovereign and Latitude is huge! If you’ve only flown the Legacy, you’d probably not be able to fly the Latitude without training. You have the different avionics, but also the addition of auto throttles, different cockpit layout, and a lot of the systems are different. Which makes all the required knowledge items, memory items, and checklists different.

      @@tallyho4483 While on the topic, how do you keep straight on the memory items for the different types you fly? The differences between the 525s and the 680s, for instance.
      And is there a big difference in the handling characteristics between the light Citations and the larger ones?

    • @tallyho4483
      @tallyho4483  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neville C525 luckily Cessna Aircraft have a lot of similarities between the products, which makes it a little easier. I have a system I use to keep it all straight. The main thing is looking through everything before flying. I think a lot of the ease of operation, for me at least, is just because I’ve been flying so many different variations of aircraft for so long. Handling wise, the biggest difference is the responsiveness in the flight controls. The 525s are very responsive and very light on the controls. The 680s are not very responsive and requires some effort to manipulate the flight controls.
