Just finishing up my CPL with a frozen ATPL and have been looking for some jobs in the charter world probably out in western Canada. These videos get me so hyped up!
It's incredible how slow they can fly while generating lift. My old company works on legacy Lears, like the 35s. Depending on the day, you wouldn't rotate until around 130kn. Those Citations are cool!
Christopher Bain the takeoff and landing performance on the Latitude/Sovereign+ is amazing. The only problem is you pay for it on max cruise speed. There is always a trade off between being able to takeoff and land on short runways compared to fast cruise speeds. What company were you at with the Lears?
I changed jobs and no longer fly empty airplanes, so no longer have opportunities to do videos. I do videos with CitationMax occasionally, and active on Instagram. @tallyho560
@tallyho4483 that's awesome glad you are well it sounds like you got a better job! I understand! Glad you are still flying definitely my dream iob I did get my ppl 11 years ago... wish I had gone and gotten everything iv always loved flying
Definitely better! Still flying, honestly I’m the busiest I’ve ever been. Well this is the perfect time to do it! Lots of opportunities out there, probably more than ever.
No not really. Honestly I haven’t flown an airplane that didn’t have a control column in at least 10 years. I would imagine if I got in an airplane that didn’t have one, I’d be amazed at the amount of room. The Longitude is a Crew airplane. Requires two pilots.
Thank you for great video ! Can this plane be compared with Citation X (if not take into consideration 0.91 mach for X model), or both are in different segments anyway ?
Andrew Letaev great question. It can be compared with the avionics because they are both using Garmin G5000, but that’s really it. When it comes down to handling and flying characteristics, they are nothing alike. The thrust to weight ratio along with the dramatic difference with wing sweep creates a completely different approach to how you fly the X. The Latitude is very easy to fly, almost too easy. The X isn’t that difficult, but you have to fly it with a different mindset, and be aware of a lot more compared to the Latitude/Sovereign.
@@tallyho4483 Many Many Thanks for extented reply. You fully answerred on my question that was more related to wings geometry difference and flight dynamics. Wish you interesting trips and new videos :)
B747guy yes we are very young and arrogant, get over it. I don’t fly in the airlines anymore, I fly part 91, so the procedures I follow are my own. Don’t like it, don’t watch it.
b747guy, let me guess. you are a copilot about 50 years old man, flying some big plane in some airline. Dont be soo jealous man ! I fees like, you are biting yourself hahahaha

Michael K my first 91 job was back in 2008 flying a King Air 90 and Cessna 421 and I was 23 then. I’ve been at my current job for 2 1/2 years and I’m 35 now.
The Latitude is very easy to fly. Especially compared to the Legacy Sovereign or some of the older CJ varieties. Technology is definitely making it easier to fly aircraft, almost too easy. It’s very easy to get complacent and to start seeing a decline in actual flying ability due to over reliance on the automation.
Heavy on the roll coming from a Falcon...finger tip. Kinda lame on cruise speed with any weight. Also can be floaty if youre coming in with any extra speed over ref...dont over flare or come in hot.
I’m working on it! I had a job change and I don’t fly empty airplanes anymore. Please check out some of CitationMax’s videos to see some flying I did with him in the meantime!
Ken brand it is a very easy airplane to fly! The Garmin 5000, auto pilot, and auto throttles make it too easy! I wouldn’t complain if it was single pilot!
I was playing the new Microsoft Flight Simulator and I tried this plane and it is awesome. Great seeing the real thing here. Thanks for sharing!
SolidMGSnake that’s very cool! Hopefully I’ll get some more Latitude flights up soon. Thanks!
Isn't the MFS plane a Longitude?
@@96alpha46 yes it’s longitude not the latitude. Totally different plane.
unfortunatly the msfs version isnt even close to how th real plane is.

I do, but I haven’t been on it in a while. But I do believe I’m going to get it going again. @Tallyho560

Ben Affleck in the left seat? Hand-flying the jet through those bumps during climb out was nice to see.
