Great review! Fyi, you can email pictures of your books that you bought that you don't have pdfs for to Mongoose (see their contact email) and they'll give you pdfs. I checked on this before buying some books online etc.
Did not know this. Thanks for letting us know!
@@RPGImaginings You're welcome.
8:56 That sophont is a Hiver.
This looks so awesome. Thank you for sharing.
It was an amazing Bundle! I was so happy to have not missed it. Usually i miss everything.
I think you've sold me on the Humble Bundle.
Just need to see if I've got the digital storage to download it, now. Gosh, I need a new laptop.
Although I missed out on the Humble Bundle, I still feel that Traveller is a far better deal (even at full price), than that other game that you spoke around. Good stuff, indeed!
The first time I remember fabbers aka 3d printers in a game, was Cybergeneration in 1992. By R Talsorian Games.
Cyberpunk would certainly do it first. So many of RTG's products were on the cutting edge of tech-futurism. As they should be.
I'm looking for a sci-fi space rpg.
I have 3 in mind:
Homeworld
Traveller
The Expanse
But which to choose 🤷♂️?
Stars without number is excellent too
Need fixed energy weapons
Help us understand why.
I love 2E. In fact my only complaint is that Mongoose's artwork absolutely sucks. So the illustration size is moot- it's terrible anyway. The equipment pictures in particular are hilariously silly, especially the weapons with spikey bits all over. Their artist(s) clearly have no concept of how firearms function or are used. It all looks like it was drawn for the Call of Duty/Halo crowd. The GDW artwork was much better, with some glaring exceptions very early on. That being said, the technology updates are very welcome (much has changed sine the 1970s).
There has always been something to be said for "inked line drawing" art that existed out of necessity early in the hobby. I'm a fan of that simple art style!
the humble bundle is all pdf's right?
The three novels also come as .epub files, IIRC.
