Would a nebula interfere with Jump drive like the 100 diameter limit? Could a nebula light years across have a Jump limit diameter 100s of light years across?

I just wished they had created new NPCs instead of just gender and race swapping most of the existing NPCs. It would have been better to have added a bunch of new characters, especially given all the new great artwork.

Idk man. If you wanna run an investigation, especially horror, use CoC. It blows 5e out of the water. 5e characters are just too sturdy for horror to feel right

I definitely read a bunch of Challenge back in the day. I think my all time favorite gaming magazine was Shadis, from AEG. Unlike most (Dragon, White Wolf, White Dwarf, etc.), it never became a corporate ad rag.

This brings back memories. Such a great magazine. I wrote for _Inphobia_ (the *White Wolf* one), but always wanted to get something in _Challenge_ - loved all the games they covered.

I walked into my game store yesterday not knowing that today was free RPG day. I came back home with a bunch of 5e DnD stuff, a pathfinder module, a Dungeon Crawl Classics adventure (which I was lucky to snag the last copy of, based on what I've heard afterward), and quick-start rules for several different RPGs.

This was my first Free RPG day I attended. Came home with Dragonbane, Garbage & Glory and one of those fancy red d20's from dispel dice. Wish I grabbed a few more books

I'm definitely curious about the Avatar RPG. I was a big fan of the animated series, and there's certainly a lot of storytelling potential. If I can get off my butt & transfer them from my phone to the laptop, I'm going to try to upload my Free RPG Day videos this upcoming week. I think I came in just under $100. between the two shops I hit up.

Free RPG Day was amazing and I picked up a bunch of awesome stuff. I also spent over $100 for my daughter and myself. Thank you for sharing the stuff that you picked up. 😊

I've been waiting for this to come out ever since i got the starter's set.

How did you even get this? I can't even find it on the website.

I have been looking at Salvage Union (and Lancer) as well these past few weeks as my 2-player group is chomping at the bit for a mech game. However, I cannot shake the feeling this one suffers from a "your character doesn't matter what so ever" problem by ruling everything by a d20 roll and unless you have character special abilities (with limited uses) that's it. No skills, no real base level differentiation present. My gut is telling me to splice Traveller (my all time favourite game) into this to resolve that as best as possible.

The levels of vain self-gratification coming off of this guy are unheard of. I could not imagine having him at my table.

My favorite Traveller is the original black box, creating the setting based on inspiration from chargen. That said, you've sold me on this. I have been using the Stars Without Number tables for ages now and would like an alternative. Thanks!

Thanks so much for sharing this. I've been on the fence picking this up, because money is tight right now. But it looks well worth the price. Packed with really useful looking game material. And I am planning on kicking off a new campaign in COC. This book looks like it will be a huge help in getting that rolling.

Absolutely love your coverage of Traveller 2E. I bought this as soon as it was available, both because I want to immerse myself in game in greater verisimilitude but also, well…the sheer nerdery of it.

This book looks great.

I bought this book a few months ago (just after the physical book came out) and it is a great resource. My only real quibble is related to the shipyard annual output section - I see that as being affected more by the TL (automation) and Efficiency of the system than by the Importance Index; over the past year or so I've been doing a lot of personal research around the shipping industry and bigger ships don't necessarily take longer to build than smaller ships, it depends much more on the complexity of the design - for instance it may only take 6 months to complete a large container ship, but a cruise ship of the same size would take 18 months and an aircraft carrier of that size would take 6-8 years.

this one rapidly shot up my to buy list to the front pew (and now awaiting it to be shipped to me) once I got the fabulous Rim Expeditions book and once I read that .. I thought to myself I need this book and can really use it. It helped a lot that watching Geir's Mayday 2024 interview video done CyborgPrime and reading his internet posts on the Mongoose forum you can tell this is a dude who has it all together and wired tight. I've started reading the PDF of this and have to say, very well done and will be extremely useful.

(i have the guide, but it just makes sense and great for people not having it). didnt expect such a cult write up for the bat, but guess it makes sense. LOVE it. excuse me, batwings??? i think one my gfs will like this. now i cant wait till we get the official lunar empire sourcebook (and i know, the dragon pass one is even still shrouded in mist) agree with ur end sentiment.

When I heard about this book I was hyped, and a little disappointed. Really excited for the book, but I had just wrapped up my Ruinquest Lunar campaign the previous month. My party had insisted on playing as the Lunars, but joined Fazzur's Rebellion as soon as they discovered they owed the Red Emperor taxes.
