👍I’m starting on a 356C. Vintage, 1988 mold, Fujimi. My little tip is I checked out a shop manual from the local library for detail reference. I’m old school and prefer looking through books. Sooo, think about using your library for shop manuals. That’s all. Beautiful looking build you got going Frank.👍👏👏👏 Oops, shout out to Scale Riders, I bought the last sheet of photoetch badges. Check them out for teeny tiny odds and ends 😁.
Nice camera set up on the paint booth. 👍🤣Sure, blame it on your helper. 🤣They are all beautiful, Frank. My favorite is the Gaurd's Red. That is the color I painted my Porsche. Mine didn't turn out as well as yours but I can assure you that I had just as much fun.😃👍X100
Hey Matt strung a Porsche build out through two years so why not plan the Iris blue Porsche for next year’s build? I think it would be a cool continuation for the channel. Great looking builds by the way - Pretty sure the GT2 may be my favorite Tamiya Porsche kit of late.
You can't just go recommending I follow affiliate links to a hobby store -- that cost me $112! I didn't even get any 3D decals, but picked up a super bargain 1st gen corvette (only GM I'd ever do), two MOPARs, and an old Mazda kit discontinued decades ago. You should at least provide a warning or disclaimer, "This video might beguile you into spending money on stuff you want that you didn't even know existed 5 minutes ago." Nice builds, thanks for the videos.
@@TXGRunner I am a TERRIBLE influence, but there’s a bright side…at least I don’t do golf content, because that $112 you spent on models would have been $7K in carbon fiber clubs. And one of those purchases would lead to further expenditures. Ok that’s both of them, so bad example. At least it wasn’t seven grand worth of golf clubs.😂
@@jasonrothgeb6071 I believe that was 91%. Since I started 3D printing, all I have down there is 99%. Even with the 99%, 2K clear will be able to stand up to swabbing overspray away…I just wouldn’t let it pool and sit for a while.
@FranksModelWorks wow! Pure alcohol minus the angels' cut? Is that from some special source? When I walk into your typical drugstore, I have a choice of 91% or 70%. And 91% was impossible to find during the Pandemic.
Wait, we're still building Porches? Last time I saw mine, Matthew Inman was flying out of it. He must be OK because he's still making videos. Anyway, nice builds overachiever. 😀
@@PirateMTH_ToddH I haven’t, and I’m pretty sure that’s my only copy of it. I think it was from the “good” AMT era of the 90’s. Very similar kit design and construction as the 62 BelAir kit, which was excellent. I can’t speak to the accuracy, because I know little of the real car.
So how well will that glue hold if I drop it, kick it and then step on it? On a related note, by your daughter's description I now picture your build sessions being akin to the Old Man in "A Christmas Story" fighting with his furnace. Some day she'll explain to her kids - My father wove a tapestry of obscenities that, as far as we know, is still hanging in space over the Long Island Sound.
All of your Porsches came out great Frank. 😃
Awesome builds. Great building tips. Love how your daughter was quick to throw you under the bus. Haha. Thanks for sharing.
Great builds Frank. Great content with your daughter....makes the hobby even more fun! Take care buddy!

You are definitely a treasure. I was just thinking about this project (multiple versions). Thanks for sharing.

I can't believe you only built 5 Porsches... I've mean there has to be 20 variations of the 911 alone...

Hey, you should have shown the blue one!
@@ruckusrodkustom8140 I threw it out after it happened.
I'm still not finished with my Tamiya 911. It only needs the decals and the black trim painted on.
So pretty! And an amazing fix. Are you using 91% or 70% alcohol?

I just saw the Starliner box. Have you built one of those kits before? Not typically my jam. But it's been calling my name for some reason lately.

@@niteowl7710 that is EXACTLY how she will describe it.
Frank in the basement sounding like Yosemite Sam with Tourettes Syndrome scaring innocent young children!😅
