Thanks for sharing, Frank. I always enjoy the stories you have to tell. I forgot all about the Adventure People. I can't wait to see you build those files you have been getting. I still need to set my stuff up. If you build a plane, I will watch.
Nice chair and the 3d bodies, build the plane!!! Enjoy vaction.... Daughter got me $100 card for Hobby Lobby and oldest son bought a new compressor I'm happy... Have a great New Year and vacation!!!
Great video, love the humor throughout! Nice gifts and cool prints! I received some kits, gift cards and a few cool coffee mugs. Be cool to see a plane built! June and I want to build a few to hang in the shop
Love your videos Frank! They're among my favorites in the short time I've been watching TH-cam videos. Love those Pontiacs. I have no wife, so at 64 I don't get much stuff anymore. But I do get together with family, and that's very, very important. I did treat myself this year to a couple of things. I just bought the Moebius '72 Ford F-350 4X4 Wrecker. Also bought what they call a bed/couch table (adjustable), so I can sit in my recliner, and sit my laptop on it and get on the computer, when the hard folding chair at the computer desk hurts my back, and backside. Have a great New Year, and looking forward to more of your videos.
Wow, do I ever remember that Can-Am! I used to stop at the local Buick-Olds-Pontiac dealer in town every day that year, dreaming I would actually buy the one they had on their lot. (I was a kid, I had no job, so yes it was just a dream). Lol, I grew up in a predominately Italian town. Everybody's name ended in an O or an I, it seemed to me. My neighbor's names were Frank and Mary. They argued for sport with each other inside their house, and would have the kitchen window open. Just being out in my yard next door, I learned a bit of Italian that way. 😉 What I got for Christmas? The new Revell '70 Charger and '70 Shelby GT-500 I ordered a month ago from my hobby shop arrived and I picked them up at the shop last Friday. While there, I found on their shelf a 2018 release of the AMT '65 Buick Riviera. An equal balance of Mopar, Ford and GM this year.
Great video Frank! I’m glad you had a merry Christmas! Love seeing the old Pontiacs and great shop cards. I would enjoy seeing you do an airplane! Enjoy your vacation and Happy New Year & arrivederci! 🙌🏼
Appears you are having a great holiday time. For Christmas, I received 6 kits: open box Revell Mustang Cobra Combo which all will be builders (I owned a 1:1 '93 5.0), along with Revell's 1985 Camaro, '70 Roadrunner, '70 Buick GSX, '68 Charger and an AMT '65 Nova Pro-Street. I just need to get to building. Didn't complete anything in 2024. 😞 I have three started, '67 Shelby Mustang, Shelby Cobra and a P51 Mustang that will be front and center in 2025. Afterwards, I think some Mopar action. Happy New Year Frank and to all the gearheads and modelers out there!
I love that new chair! I think it would be great to see you build the airplane. Hope you enjoy your vacation and wish you a Happy New Year. My wife got me a Gaahleri airbush & compressor kit, a Gaahleri advanced series GHAD-68, a ScaleFinishes master box, a new spray booth.
This year, my wife and I didn't get each other anything. Like your wife, everything she has tried to buy me, models or tools wise, I've already had. We both ended up with new computer chairs. I also got myself a couple of model kits. Yes, I picked the ones I got. I hope you and yours have a happy New Year
I had the same issue with my Portuguese family. The conversation always started out in English, then it would turn into gibberish! I knew a lot more Portuguese back then. Now, since I don’t hear it anymore, I’ve forgotten a ton of it. Those were some good times
Glad to hear that you had a great Christmas. Only thing I got was a set of nice blue tooth speakers. I always tell people get something for the kids, lmao. I did buy a AMT 1991 C1500 sport side pick up and I did buy a few 3D files for me to print as well. I love those old Pontiacs. The greatest gift I got was the good news about the decals I ordered for a special upcoming project on my channel that I ordered 4 months ago should hopefully be in a few weeks.
Giveth a plane to the people. For christmas I got four old Airfix 1/600 war ship sets from '73, '76, '76 and '80 respectively. That was back when I built model kits as a kid/teenager so brought back some good memories. Restarted the hobby this year and it is still fun. Sets were courtesy of my niece who is under 'order' to check for model sets when she visits 2nd hand shops to look for her hobby stuff.
My poor chair leans forward and down to the right ... I got 2 shirts, a Pink Floyd tee and a tee with "you have died of dysentary" from Oregon Trail. Some really fine nail liner detail brushes, and a hobby zone corner drawer piece. And I got myself a new keyboard, so now I can't type because all the keys are just slightly off from where I'm used to. 55 Ford was last year, this year was the 68 duster, the first was the road runner / GTX.. It's sad that I know that even though I've not participated. Have a great vacation!
Yes sir build the plane they will come. Got that saying from the Kevin Costner movie about building a baseball field in a corn field, forgot the name of the movie, good movie and added the plane. As always enjoyed the video.
As it got more heated, which it always did!!! Growing up in a half Italian (mom's side) and half Puerto Rican (dad's side) I know just what you are talking about lol lol. Well for Christmas my wonderful wife did surprise me with the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra along with other goodies. I was so excited that I would be able to print full car bodies from our boy Andrey because my Elegoo Mars 5 Ultra with the smaller build plate didn't afford me that option. So, after all the gifts were unwrapped and wrapping paper clean up duty was completed I went straight to my hobby room. I introduced the newest member to the family set everything up and my first print with my new machine was Andreys 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix, had one when I was 16 years old....dont hate the playa lol lol. Anyways, the print came out amazing. The second car body I printed was Andreys 73 Grand AM, I prefer the round headlights and pointed nose. That also came out amazing and because it is a new design of Andreys, Cults 3d for the first week or two sells the file for only 10 bucks, are you kidding me. Needles to say I have been steady in my hobby room fooling around for the better part of this week. Having a blast having the two printers going at the same time printing up all kinds of goodies. Andreys stuff is amazing and I will be printing many more of his bodies. As far as building a plane, I know that is where it started for you and I know you are passionate about it so hell yeah build that sucker. Hope you and yours have a Blessed safe and Happy New Year keep up the great work brother Ciao!
@@69airride3 I love Andrey’s stuff…my next episode on the 3D series is introducing building his 64 Country Sedan Wagon as a gasser with parts printed from files from Scale Auto Model Works, Morries Customs and Z Force Model Works. I’m scheduling it to air on Friday.
Vacation?!?! You took over 3 months off a hot minute ago! What is Gaelic Italian for 'slacker?' Seriously though, have a great vacation. My friend I had my entire life was Scott. We still write to each other, but haven't seen each other in 40 years. What did I get? I bought myself an obscene number of kits, including some real oldies (2 Jo-han). I really have a problem. Somebody needs to take away my credit cards. Build an airplane? Are you going to put silver ghost flames under a HOK Wild Cherry candy on it? If you're itching to do a plane, do it. You're just now regaining momentum. I think a big part is because of your helpful videos on chrome, finishing, 3d printing, instructional stuff. As long as that content continues concurrent with a plane build, I wouldn't imagine it would hurt your momentum. Happy New Year!
Frank-O, Really Enjoyed that opening story of your childhood, very similar to the Inception of The Little Rascals. A Plane build would be Great idea for your channel, May I suggest the WW1 Gotha GV. Also, Do you know of any 3D files for Studebaker Bullet Nose and do all 1:25, 3D printed cars come with hoods molded in? Anyway, Thanks for Sharing Frank, really Enjoyed this video.

My wife does not buy me models anymore for the same reasons you mentioned. However she does let me purchase some kits, usually ones that are a little more money than my usual priced kits. This year was a 1/24 Airfix Stuka Bomber and a Round2 Star Trek TOS Shuttle - both Black Friday sales and half price (!). I do have the Monogram P-61 so if you have one of those that would be a cool build 🙂 but otherwise I would watch your videos no matter what kind of model you build. 👍 Is the Pontiac 3D model a Grand Am with the shaker hood ?
