When I attended card shows in the 1980's as a little kid, I remember seeing fights between dealers and dealers and cutomers. Nothing has changed.

I've been a game store selling singles since before the pandemic and it has become my primary source of income over the past 6 months. It's unbelievably challenging and I am immediately alarmed when I hear the word "community" thrown around. To have a successful Pokemon store it takes 24-7 to operate. I can't tell you how many nights over the past month I've slept on the floor due to exhaustion just wanting to get a few while pulling a massive list of orders. I basically live in front of a computer, sorting cards, packing orders, listing items online(this right here is EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING as I have over 4000 unique listings with multiple images on each listing), and sending emails. This is all day, all night, Monday - Sunday folks.... wanna get in the store arena.... think real long and hard about it.... it takes more heart, dedication, and drive than myself, a driven person, ever could have ever realized.
you're long overdue for evaluating your business structure if this is your current situation.

It's gonna cost someone something to do anything free for "the community, so I see 0 problems with making a video out of it, especially if making videos is what helps you do said things "for the community". The only people who could give away shit constantly without some sort of money coming back in are incredibly wealthy people. I'd rather some community members make videos and do giveaways particularly to the new kids joining the hobby than for them to just not do that.

It’s not the customers fault if game stores didn’t put a rainy day fund aside when they got huge amounts of product and everyone else had to overpay.

@17.01 I think you missed the point they were making (that a community that’s truly there to support one another, would be happy to pay a few dollars more to a game store than Walmart as to be supporting the game store ie small business rather than $$s going to franchise store even if they are cheaper

With this video, I wonder if Rattle still has the same opinion on the Ratgang fiasco. The fact is Rattle was wrong and Costco did not get more of the Alakazam/Zapdos bundles. And yes, Ratgangs defense was that they were doing it “for the community”.
There's been an abundance of Costco 151 since then, in most locations and you can even still order it online in case you don't have some at a specific store. As a bonus, the $80/90 151 UPC is also a much better deal. Them buying them in bulk and posting it was dumb but so is complaining that you can't get Costco 151 because of it.
@@RattlePokemon Abundance of higher priced items for sure. UPC is only $80 in certain areas and, while that’s a good deal imo, it’s not as good of a deal as the double pack. There’s still the aspect of the ratgang “doing it for the community” aspect you haven’t responded to. Not that you owe one; it would responsible of you to admit you were wrong and give an update on the topic. Even if it’s just through a comment.
