One thing to add- Record when one of "those" people scratch your car getting into or out of their car that is parked Too close. ;) Record them doing it and their license plate, then the system will be Perfect! Excellent demo video. Thanks...
Great video!!! I’ve used the backwards/forwards feature a few times in a tight parking spot. Just remember to take your belongings out that you need or else what’s the use if you need to open the doors again. 👍🏼
Hey Gabi, what if your wheels aren’t straight when you parked? Will the car straighten out automatically when exiting the parking spot, or does it just maintain the direction it was left in?
I wonder what the proximity is on the sensors for using this feature. I don't know about everyone else but my garage is a tight tight tight fit. Garbage cans can be as close as 12 inches to the car. Would this feature still work?
It does for my Sportage Hybrid and my garage is just as tight. The mirrors do not power fold on the Sportage Hybrid so I think it even takes those into consideration as well.
I have a 2023 KIA Sportage PHEV. I never understood why there are two memory seat settings for each driver. Nothing in the owners manual mentions this, or even the fact that there are two settings each! None of the TH-cam videos address this either. But since the key fob is not driver specific, when I go to use the car after my wife drives it, the seat is too far forward for me to even get in the car. And when she gets in after I drive it, the seat is so far back that she can't reach the brake pedal to start the car. What we have done to solve this issue is to set my wife as "#1" and me as "#2". So in Her profile ,she sets her memory seat to the position she likes, and sets #1 in memory. Then, still in her profile, I set the seat to my driving position and set #2 in memory. Then I go to my profile and set my driving position to #2 in memory. Then, still in my profile, she moves the seat and sets her driving position to #1 in memory. That way, after my wife has been driving, and the seat is very far forward , I just hit the #2 memory seat button and the seat goes backward to my position and vise versa,. After I have been driving, She hits the #1 button and the seat goes forward to her position. I would love to hear of any other reason for there to be two memory seat positions EACH !

It's so hard not to anthropomorphise my EV6 when it does this stuff. It seems like a nervous kid or something, especially when it detects an obstacle and stops.

Doubt it. Programming for that would be mind boggling intense. Easier to just straight movements commands

I would never park a car in a tight fit like that. People will damage your car. But it would be great to remove your car if others do that to you.
