Always here to listen. I am not disappointed with any of your videos. You are doing great with content. Don't beat yourself up. Abandoned videos are my favorite. The motorcycle videos were good too. Please don't stop producing great content. Any update on Nevele resort? One of my favorites. You rock JP. Coming from Florida I love the winter videos. You and your family stay safe!

I watch your videos because I enjoy your personality. Its like hanging out with a friend. I enjoy what you choose to post, and have enjoyed the new content like the tractor pull myself. Adam the woo is another favorite of mine and I feel he has a similar outlook as you mentioned. Film what you like and the earnest enjoyment you have will bring the viewers you deserve. Thanks for being you.

For my own viewing - I find the video you're having the most fun making to be the ones I enjoy watching the most -- you get really excited in the old culverts, exploring the abandoned rails and rail structures, the waterways, and the rail bike rides - I can see you're enjoying them, you have a lot to talk about while doing them, and it makes them fun to watch. I'm an NEPA native who has lived away for 30 years and your exploring the area is a chance for me to return home virtually, and if you're loving what you're doing, I'm loving watching it.

Yeah man you are ABSOLUTELY 100% NOT A FAILURE!!!. i watch your videos all the time and the content that you put out is on point. The biggest thing is that you're a local to the area just like me and i love that you focus on our area! We don't have a lot of content creators focusing on northeastern PA....and for that i say THANK YOU!

Hey, JP - the bottom line is that this is YOUR channel. I enjoy watching your variety of programming and just "hanging" out with you and your viewers. Honestly, I think some commenters are just miserable people, so ignore them as best you can. I do feel that it is vital that you follow the paths that excite you and keep you interested in your content. You're looking good - hope you and the family are well 🙂

Jay, your content is never a failure. This is a beautiful channel! I do understand wanting to maintain goals and absolutely relate to how things change over time. But even now, I see autumn leaves gently falling in the sunny background, and I'm just smiling! Your photography and cinematography is top-notch -- always!! I'm never diappointed, even when you didn't find what you saw on Google maps, or when some curmudgeon asks you to leave the property. You excel at explorations of all kinds, and we are here for it. Ready for the next one. As you said, "Variety is the spice of life." -- Yes, absolutely! That's why I love this channel! So, Thank you, Jay!!😊💙

Now you have gone and done it. You have publicly announced a list of things you want to get done this winter. Outdoor things. The type of list that guarantees we will have a snowy winter.
I love your content. I find your adventures both enjoyable and many times educational. You have an eye for things which makes your photo montages excellent viewing. Stick with what you enjoy. I think your enthusiasm about your subject is what draws me to your videos.
I hope you are able to check off the items on your list this winter. Let's hope Mother Nature cooperates or you may be stuck covering the best sledding hills within walking distance.

As far as winter goes I live next to the Chesapeake and watch the animals -- so far they're pretty much out & about -- when you don't see many you know the weather will change. So far they're still out & doing their 'thing' so hopefully the winter won't be too bad.
Hey! Do you know that it SNOWED in the desert just a short time ago?! There's a video on You Tube about it. The look on the poor camel's faces-- like; "What is this cold white stuff?!"
I do miniatures -- little lighthouses-- a little sea town with tiny people - & made the Bison that you can see in the picture by my name. The Bison is white with snow & he is eating some grass he uncovered. It symbolizes to me that when you go through hard times you don't give up-- just keep trying -- things will get better. I've made two lighthouse lamps. It's just a fun hobby.
You share so much with us -- I thought I'd share too.

You are always very passionate about anything you do and film and it shows in all your videos, making your work enjoyable for you. I know you have tried so hard to make sure all your viewers are happy, but like you said, you just can't please everyone, so they have to be the ones to be able to choose what they want to watch, but I think most of your viewers enjoy your awesome array of content. The changes you made were good and you have to do what you feel is right for you and your channel. I agree that variety is the spice of life and that is why your channel is so great! I definitely feel what you're going through this year. Personally I had intended to put out at least a video a week, maybe more. So many real-life things got in the way. TH-cam definitely took a back seat to real life this year. The stuff you did in the past was very enjoyable to watch, but i get not feeling really 100% passionate about it. So peppering it into your regular content is a good idea. All in all, we love ya Jay. I can speak for many of us, we're here to stay regardless of what you create.

    Hey JP!
Been watching and subscribed to your channel for some time now. I started watching your channel because of your abandoned explores and your live ghost hunts. (loved your old intro) Just because you may not show that content much anymore does not mean I would unsubscribe from your channel as your personality and honesty is genuine and that's what matters. I have absolutely no interest in trains, railways, e bikes or things like that but when you have your google find videos that peaked my interest and I definitely watch them. You are who you are and you need to do what you want to do and create the content that makes you happy. So many times have I seen other channels that get stale as the content is always the same and the creator seems to just be publishing the same content and not enjoying it as much anymore. Continue doing what makes you happy!!! Stay well JP and thanks for sharing!

Even shared it. I still think you would enjoy Sleepy Hollow NY. They have a train! I do get tired of original rerun content. So many influencers fall into that routine. I guess you have to consider that most of Pa. missed the entire month of August with rain! If you're an outdoorsman in Pa. August was not a good month! Not to mention ticks were unusually bad to be in the woods this summer. I like the variety you show on your channel, Jay. I wouldn't change a thing only at your discretion. You're right to say you can't please everyone. I enjoy watching whatever you put on your channel. It's your channel and treated as such, my friend.

Hi JP! I stumbled across your channel just a little bit before the pandemic hit. As you know, I found you because I enjoy abandoned explorations, and I absolutely enjoyed a lot of the things that you were doing in the past like Sunday night live, but at the end of the day, you have to be true to yourself. If you’re not getting any joy out of what you’re doing, it’s probably not worth it. You’re absolutely right that people have the ability to simply not watch something that doesn’t interest them. I think we’ve lost a lot of our ability to just use common sense and realize that somebody else might enjoy something that I have no interest in and that doesn’t mean I have to leave a bad or nasty comment about it, I can simply pass and watch something else that interests me more. I appreciate every video that you’ve done over the years and the effort that you put forward for your viewers. I still follow along on many of your adventures and just really enjoy your commentary and your outlook on adventuring and preserving history. Please just keep doing what you’re doing and enjoy the journey.

Jay - don't beat yourself up. I enjoyed the wide variety, I love train stuff, coal mine stuff, and wilderness, mountain exploring, it's all good. Also the abandon houses and buildings ... always an adventure. Straying to different subjects can be good. I can live without live streams, people really act silly on those things. You inspired me to buy an e-bike and ride the Bike Train/D&L trails. I'm gonna do it ! Can't wait. Just need time. Again - you do quality work and you have good equipment, well presented - it shows. Can tell some thought has gone into your videos, compared to some others, you look like a pro.

You definitely have a great channel, as a viewer I watch the content of yours that I want to watch and if it's something that doesn't catch my eye, I may pass it and watch something else. But first off as a creator you do need to make content that your passionate about. It is good to organize a filming schedule to get the best content on what to create during the course of a year and sometimes life and mother nature makes us change that. Making you postpone filming somethings.
Secondly a majority of viewers when they see a 20 to 45 minute video, thinks it only takes the time of the video to make it, not so. To get all the shots it may take a couple hours or more of shooting video out in the field to get everything you need with extra shots. Then next you have to take all the video of of your SD cards and transfer to the computer, which takes more time. Then there's organizing the the files, editing, rendering and uploading to TH-cam. So you could have 5 hours or more into a 45 minute video. With that said doing live streams and other types of videos might eat up time that you have set aside to editing on your content or maybe that's time that you could be doing some personal things in your life, but as a content creator you definitely need to balance things and prioritize the things you feel passionate first and try to accommodate where you can within the scope of what you for see the direction you want your channel to go.
For myself on my channel, I am still an infant channel in the TH-cam world at 480 or so subscribers at this point. But I do field some interesting requests with my videos, from someone not liking one free use TH-cam songs I use in my video so I don't get copyright strikes, or videoing at night or having to drive into the sun and so on. I try not to do certain things, but at some point I will be driving at night or in a direction where I may travel to where the sun would eventually come into the window.
Also when I started I had envisioned of simultaneously making driving videos, train videos and traffic signal videos, having these big goals turned out to not work out with all the additional traveling time, scoping out other possible shots and so on, and with that that doesn't include my full time job and personal life outside of making TH-cam videos. So I primarily make the driving videos, then mixing some train videos and finally maybe I will catch some traffic signal videos.
So to summarize, keep to your passions and film according to that first and work from there. If that means exploring a rail trail or an abandoned rail line, or maybe it's a Google find or maybe it's a tractor pull, then you make your content to those things that you enjoy doing.

You're right. You do have a tendency to ramble. 😏
But, I still enjoy watching your exploration videos. Whether it's off the beaten path or roadside destinations, it's nice to see someone else enjoying a trek through the woods or checking out landmarks on rural roads and small towns in places I'll probably never get to see for myself; I'm from southern Ontario.
Do what you enjoy first and foremost!
And, please, try to keep clichés like "that being said" to a minimum. ✌

Here to add to what I’ve seen other commenters say; do what you enjoy. For me personally, TH-cam videos are far more interesting when the TH-camr loves what they do. I personally enjoy nature, hiking, looking for interesting things behind the normal barriers of everyday life, so your channel was easy to appreciate. However, there’s other TH-camrs I’ve become a huge fan of whose content isn’t something I’d normally search for, but who are passionate about it and end up making very compelling content. Keep it up, JP.

    Hey Jay
I'll start by saying that in no way, have you ever failed your viewers. As humans, I'm sure that we can all understand that unforeseeable circumstances arise and that there are times when more important things take precedence over filming. No one has a right to expect more than what you are capable of or more than you feel comfortable doing. You should always stay with what is true to yourself because if you don't keep it real, it becomes evident to your viewers. I love all of your content not only because it is different and interesting, but because you bring such great factual insight to your videos. Remember, nothing is ever guaranteed until it appears. With that being said, I will be PATIENTLY awaiting the invitation to the next awesome adventure whatever, or wherever, it may be. Until then take care, stay safe and God bless.
    Steve in Oklahoma

Hey, JP! I appreciate you sharing some insight into your channel contents, future goals, and your feelings about different topics. I enjoy watching you explore your world and taking the time and effort to share it with us. I think your content is terrific and I like the fact that I don't always know what to expect when I tune in.
The important thing to any channel's success is the host's enthusiasm and enjoyment of what they are doing. I've seen many people get into a rut of filming what they think people want to see, narrowing their focus and chasing views at the cost of losing enthusiasm. Sometimes they burn out and disappear from TH-cam. Just keep doing what you want to do. I'm up for anything.
By the way, I know yours isn't a "product review" channel, but if you could share some of your experience and opinions of e-bikes you've used, maybe just a few anecdotes and things you've learned to look for (and look out for) in an e-bike, I'd be interested as I hope to get one in the future. Thanks for all your videos. You're definitely among my favorite TH-camrs!

When I stumbled across your channel years ago you were mainly exploring abandoned houses. I had never seen this before and really enjoyed them. I don't think I missed any of those. The other urban explore channels I found since then have to be at least as good as yours were or I won't watch them. But I don't watch your other content nearly as much. I was glad to see that you had gone more into general explorations and I enjoy those when I have time to watch them. It's like being able to travel without having to leave my home. :) I agree you should do what you want to do on your own channel. That is what will keep it fresh. I will watch what interests me and skip the rest. Although I will say that the video length is a factor. The longer videos (from ANY channel) can be hard for me to sit through.
One thing that comes to mind, though, is that I don't recall seeing any "shorts" from your channel. Maybe they just aren't being sent to me. But I would think a few of those would drum up interest.

When I first came across your channel, I became engrossed in your abandoned homes/buildings/factories/farms findings and exploring. Always looking forward to your next find. There was nobody else on TH-cam that could create/narrate a video like you, as you explore and discover going room to room. I understand the need/want to do other things/subjects, but I really miss what drawed me to your videos. You have a talent and do it very well. Life makes it a challenge to do things as planned and sometimes can make a person 2nd guess everything/anything they do. Just do your best to make decisions and work with it.
