Just a point when working off of patterns. A lot of patterns (though not all) include a seam allowance and, while this is helpful for sewing with actual cloth, you probably don't want to include when modelling as it will change the fit of the garment on your character. But it's great to see a clothing tut that shows you how to use real world pattern pieces. 😃
Great tutorial, actually adding the weld modifier has been a massive help as other tutorials I have been following leave out that step and I have been going into edit mode to manually bridge the edge loops like a noob! 😅
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the valuable information you share with us. May God's hands lighten the burden of your missions in this world, and may His grace accompany you at every step. Your generosity does not go unnoticed and is a source of inspiration for us all. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
How are you able to make the mannequins? is there a tutorial on how you make a full body mannequin and showing movement to it? or do you know a software i can use that is like that?
Hi, How do i seperate the image color & the base color of the plane (TShirt)? As the image is connected to the base color of the plugin, my shirt automatically becomes black. I have been messing around with the connections but it wouldn't work..
A suggestion, maybe remake this video or make a separate one where you show how you made the shirt without skipping parts and fast-forwarding. You would get more views.
All the parts where I need to learn to edit it so fast I had to screen record it and play it in slow motion while the TH-cam speed was set too .25x speed
good but i need build mobile app and user can upload photo from dvice to mid t shirt and preview design on 3d model .. can i do make this idea with api ?
awesome video. i had one question. if i get the patreon ,will i be able to download project files from previous videos as well ? ( such as his vid) or only new ones. thanks a bunch
sorry but why when you duplicate the mesh front side to create the back side , you said "you apply mirror modifier and get rid of one side of the mesh" but clearly in the video you didn't have the mirror modifier active in plane 001 as in the video . When I try and delete the one side of the mesh it mirrors the other so I can't delete the side I need. Please can you Explain. Thank you
Very nice and detailed tut , got a tip or 2 but too many unnecessary steps imo. I tend to avoid the unpredictable and calculation consuming sewing part and shape the low poly garment roughly to the model rest pose already, without the "seams". Simulate - subdivide then keyframe your model to final position at frame 20 or 40 depending on model complexity giving it enough time to set then simulate again. It works like a charm even on models in constant motion without even applying any of the modifiers... not even the mirror ;)
hey! nice video, I've only had one problem: once opened the UV panel (after unwrapped) seems like my uv map is a circle and really messed up. I've already tried to do the unwrap before apply the cloth option and everything but nothing seems to change. can you help me?
Ok I think I've solved the problem (sort of?) instead of selecting every vertex (A) I've selected only the front first and then clicked unwrap and everything seems fine. I've only had a problem with vertex that are on the side of the t shirt.
another problem is that my t shirt gets completely messed up when applying the cloth modifier; it doesn't fit the character (with collision modifier) and just collide in itself :(
great video pls slow down the fast forward makes it hard to understand what ur doing as a beginner im slightly confused and don't understand every time u fast forward. would be great at least show once the process before fast forward
it's not a beginner kind of thing to do in blender. There's a lot of other things which are a lot easier, but working in physics in blender can be tough even for intermediate users.
im advanced in blender actually i had to speed the video up … i just been modeling clothes from regular meshes ….. cloth simulator is much faster and more realiatic
The title doesn't state that this is a beginner's tutorial bro💀💀, and if you don't know the shortcuts he used in the video you're not ready to start modeling complex pieces. My advice to you is to watch the donut tutorial (that's where they all started)
Why would you fast forward the mesh modeling part? It's not "basic" to someone who hasn't done it before and it leaves someone stuck trying to figure out how you did it. What a WASTE OF TIME!

Hey bro, I love the way you completely explain all cloth process in a long form video.

So much good and helpful stuff in here!! Thanks for sharing this with us my dude! By far the best tee tutorial out there for blender!
Glad it helped!
please do a video on how you meshed it
I like this detailed video although I suggest using the multires modifer to create the last bit and add stitches and folds
Sure! You could certainly take it that way!
4:34 is bridge edge loops slower?
How are you able to make the mannequins? is there a tutorial on how you make a full body mannequin and showing movement to it? or do you know a software i can use that is like that?
timely. Thanks!
You're welcome! I hope you make something awesome with it!

Super Cool! I love TShirts
They make up about 90% of my wardrobe 🤣
do you have crewneck 3d in blender?
That was great!
where to get the maneqquin?
oh btw thankyou for the tutorial.
All the parts where I need to learn to edit it so fast I had to screen record it and play it in slow motion while the TH-cam speed was set too .25x speed
good job man! Where i get this mold?
good but i need build mobile app and user can upload photo from dvice to mid t shirt and preview design on 3d model .. can i do make this idea with api ?

This is super helpful!!!! Thank you! I can't wait to make clothing designs with it!!!1
Glad it was helpful!
If I wanted to add another png image say to the back. How would I go about that?

Could you import the pattern already cut as an svg and work off of that?
That’s a great idea!

Cool, do what works for you! Definitely a great part of Blender is all the ways to get things done!
You are so diverse Johnny, great video on a subject i never get time to practice and geonodes are to blame for that :)
Yeah, there are so many ways to use Blender.
where do I get the manneqin from?
This one was cut down from the standard export of the "MakeHuman" software.
@@JohnnyMatthews what settings are important for the mannequin because at my case the shirt is not falling as yours at all ?
High friction on the collider object helps a bunch.
@@JohnnyMatthewsdo we need a mannequin? Or we can do without it

You can also unwrap the pieces before you connect them. That can help.

The colision don't working with me :/
Update: only works with mannequins with arms 11:27

Not beginner friendly. I got lost very quickly
i am t shirts designer contecte me any design new
this is a bad tutorial. you cut the video on the parts where you use some shortcuts and im a beginner bro 💀
It won't cover everything, but you can hit f3 to search for the feature your looking for. It should also show you the shortcut for it. Hope this helps
