@@twobidona clothes were actually one of the most difficult thing to sculpt, many people (like me) often struggles with it due to detailed pieces, folding, creasing, etc. So I'm glad you're uploaded this video! Yup. Good old baking textures XP I wish this could work with EEVEE however, but yeah, it's in Cycles render, and you can bake all sorts of different ones, normals and bump/heightmaps too.

One thing I've wondered about making clothes, would it be possible to create something that automatically conforms to different shapes it is placed upon? Like say an expanding belly or two different model bodies.
@@twobidona Thank you. What about clipping though? Would it account for that? When you have like swaying bits that can move, do they constantly check for collision with other models? Like I've seen AAA games where like hats have just clipped through backpacks and stuff, so I would imagine there might not be an easy fix.

If for example you put a coat on top of that sweater, would the sweater show through the coat when the body is changing shape? Or do you set shrinkwrap for the coat to follow the sweater instead of the body?

@@vancaryu3838 I'm used to creating vertices from a new object, if you take a vertex from a body, then it will have materials, key shapes, scale, and other body properties that I don't need for a new object
I am curious, why did you not use the cloth simulation feature? A lot of the other clothes making tutorials I have seen use it, and this seems like it'd be a good candidate for it.
Hi this is awesome. I just started with blender because I want to create an armor model for dragons dogma 2. I use they games .fbx armor files as base but I don’t have a body template like you and I don’t want to export and test a hundred times and find out that it’s still clipping or something. I could import my players rig but I doubt it will have they grey guiding lines that I need for modeling. Is there a way to convert the rig file into something like yours?

@@khh6900 Если посмотрите мои старые видео я тело начинаю с лепки, а потом делаю ретопологию, с одеждой я либо просто моделирую её, либо создаю обьем лепкой и только потом уже моделю

Amazing technique, would it work fine when exported to UE5? I wanna create a game someday and obviously my chars need clothes and I'm too poor to afford Marvelous lol
These clothes were not created for the purpose of exporting to game engines, but you can try to optimize it, although it would be better if I did it initially for such purposes, in general, in the future I plan to do everything right
@@wallacesousuke1433 I'm not an expert on this, but most likely you need to maintain quality by reducing the number of polygons, because now even with subdivide 1 it's a lot.

I think if you use the "Shrinkwrap" modifier + a properly configured weight in the vertex group, something might happen.

@@Mae4Ever the magnet can be adjusted so that it clings to itself, so you don't have to divide the mesh into 2 objects
