Asking for an attorney when cops come to your house is not odd at all. If you're guilty you need a lawyer, if youre innocent you really need a lawyer.

    • @byunbaekhyun2283

Just listen to the interrogation. Assume Adame was innocent. Those questions would infuriate you in that case.

@@dapv144 Of course those questions would probably infuriate someone being interrogated, and probably see that person demand a lawyer. That is very consistent and not unusual during interrogation. But that is whole different issue when cops show up (for the first time) just to inform someone that their partner has been murdered. Asking if one needs a lawyer at that point is not something the average person would say when told their boyfriend has been found murdered. Usually, it takes more than that. And although nothing is impossible, and unusual things do happen, (as seen in this case with him asking if he needs a lawyer), those unusual things are the exception and not the norm. And when something is not the norm in the course of an investigation, it will be viewed as odd and will raise further and deeper probing. So, of course his remark was exceptional and therefore viewed as being odd.

Can we give props to the landlord who on their own accord tried to protect their tenant with installing cameras and then on first suspicion called authorities for a well fare check. Mad respect they truly did try and actually showed care and concern not many like that anymore

The cops don't make it seem that way, Princess. Human nature does. It is odd to request an attorney in those circumstances. It is NOT a normal human reaction ro immediately think, "I'm a suspect" when they know they aren't.
As I told another person foolish enough to have the same thought process as you, being intelligent enough to request an attorney as a matter of routine (and personal choice) does NOT "normalize" it by any means. "Normal" people have a conversation with police and get on with their day.

If anyone is calling 911 from a cell phone, instead of screaming help me right off the bat, say your address!!!! THEN scream help me! They can’t pin point where you’re at on a cell phone. That’s one reason most of the operators automatically say “ 911, what is the address of your emergency?”. I know it’s a fear response, but you MUST do this for yourself to save your life. I can alert the cops and send my exact location without even having to dial 911 and it will start secretly recording for an amount of time I choose so if I'm being assault etc the evidence will be found on my phone. Actually I think it is even sent directly to the police once the recording stops. It is up to 5 minutes I believe.

Tries to throw his 16 yo nephew under the bus by saying he pulled the trigger during a horrific murder that José himself had recruited him to help in. I also wonder if José didn’t tell his nephew it was going to be a robbery and not mention the torture and murder until they got there. Again, not minimizing the nephew’s participation in the crime, I actually think he should be sitting in a cell next to his uncle.

I see this a lot with females who are killed by an ex or someone they know! And unless emergency personnel or a 911 dispatcher asks, they never volunteer the name, and many times don't they're not even asked unless the police is present. It's like they have to pull it out of them - "who did this to you?" Like this guy here, why did he say "they" instead of saying "Jose is trying to kill me?" I wonder if it's because they're in shock and it's not a priority for them at that moment. Maybe all they care about is if they're going to live or not!

They'll do it to child victims, for the love of Pete! My mom's 2nd husband was... Yeh, we're not gonna go there. Not a good guy, in any case. I was a scared kid, barely 13, and there were crimes that HAD happened and crimes that HAD NOT. The police got a story into their heads, that a friend put there thinking she was helping, and I spent something like 15 hours being isolated and threatened with all kinds of BS, until I caved and just said the least I could to get me out of that room. Did I lie and say that he had done something he hadn't? Yes. I did. I'll be ashamed of my ignorance of my right to have someone with me forever and horrified that anyone in my family let it all just ... Happen. Anyway, I did make sure that everyone with any damn sense listened and he wasn't ever charged with the things I hadn't been truthful about. Unfortunately, that also meant he came home, bc the prosecutor didn't want to proceed with something so... Un-flashy? (DA election year, don't ya know). It was another 6 years before I convinced that woman to get rid of him. So that was fun...

He did not do himself a favor by going back and forth with this crazy man. You should have just left him alone. Call the police when he did the car ticket things even sued him. Not call him 3 way to put him down for the gratification of someone else. Left him stranded. Let's not overlook what led to this. Yes death is sad but let's take accountability and understand KARMA is real! You don't fight fire with fire. Bc someone will get burned. Don’t play with people’s feelings. You never know who is capable of what. Lessons learned via TH-cam crime documentaries.

Obviously nobody deserves to be murdered, but you can't expect to play with people's emotions & play with fire, then wonder why you got burned. SMH.

Asking if he needs an attorney is not suspicious, that just means he's not stupid. That would literally be the first thing i say that i need a lawyer before i say anything. I binge watch BRUCE RIVERS THE CRIMINAL LAWYER on youtube everyday. I highly recommend his channel if your into law and crime stories but with an intelligent and very funny lawyer explaining everything in the video from a legal point of view.

Not excusing anything but people need to understand that playing with people's hearts can be dangerous because some can't regulate their emotions, grieve and just move on. R.I.P to all.

So true. Never know. action-reaction is different when it comes to a person's mentality. Especially, when emotions are involved. People just react without questions or gravity of course of reacting. It's scary. Seen it too much as my mom loved playing games with males, and she only dated Hispanics which can be very passionate.

Congratulations Chris Hanson & Team, you've managed to get everything people hated from TV and the reason the stopped watching it and bring it to youtube!! Don't you get it, Your sleazy network television editing style is exactly what reviles people and it does not fit the platform, it's just so Outdated!! I'm glad I don't have to watch this old crappy style of network programming, where there's so many repeats that if you took them out you would end up with about 2 minutes of actual content, (and that's being generous)...... Hopeless!! The sad thing is, of the little content there is, the storys would be watchable if they weren't presented in such an overproductionalised, grotesque, sleazy network show manner. Pathetic!!

Smug, trite, meaningless answers which completely avoid the question. In other words, nothing clever, just the usual.....and he does think he is clever, (or at least he thinks his consultants and script-writers are.) As a psychiatrist friend of mine said, "He is not childISH...he is child-LIKE." If he has ever seen a shrink, I am sure he has been diagnosed and heard the same opinion.

34:55 I was born in 45. It's terrible what cops have to go through nowadays. It wasn't like that when I was growing up. It started up in 1970 when drugs became popular.
All of the people I knew who got involved with drugs are dead. Except for a few. They either went cold turkey or got treatment. All of them started with marijuana.

I feel absolutely terrible for Landy and his friends and family. When someone is as stupid/crazy as to ask an 11 year old to watch porn and purposely get tickets...they are not a sane person to deal with. I think he did the right thing with going to the DMV and getting his car back. But, don't show what a better life you have. And this is to anyone, it will drive crazy people even worse.
This comes off victim blaming I know, but it's not. He could not have possibly thought his ex was a psycho, but he was and probably a ped-o. I wonder if they questioned the nephew more (who should be in jail) they would find out the guy invited him to smoke and watch adult videos too.
