Woodturning a Firewood Burl into $1500 Vase

- In this week woodturning video, I turned firewood-distanced black locust wood with abundant burl into a stunning vase. Deep pour epoxy resin, infused with captivating green metallic pigments, gracefully intertwines with the intricate patterns found within the black locust burl. Coated in glossy lacquer for protection and a high-gloss finish.
This is my biggest hybrid vase I have ever made and the colours and shape came out so good (to my preference at least) it makes it to one of my best projects.

Stunning! I was scrunched back in my sofa, fearful that something awful was going to happen when you started turning this oddly shaped burl! But, then you found the beauty in the wood, as always. The resin poured beautifully. Gorgeous piece 😍

Love the shape and size. A bit bigger than most wood turning clips, the pieces end up smaller. I like seeing the odd or abstract shapes to compliment the wood. Lovely grain on the vase in this video. Thanks for sharing your work.

Lots of safety issues, hopefully you will give that and proper tool selection/use strong consideration in the future.
Honestly I won't. Everything I did and do is safe to me, if you decide to do the same that is on you.

Also, you can't put water in it and use it as a flower vase because the wood will eventually absorb water and crack the vase.
Certainly is not for cheap people who does not appreciate something man made. No offence was meant. My projects are for a niche clientele who is looking to add something one of a kind to their home. Also they are for display and decoration only
