- We are big fans of Kiefer and had a lot of fun showing him Keyscape in a super unique way...triggered from Eric's Custom MIDI'ed Fender Rhodes!
In this video, Eric shows him how the Fender Rhodes is wired to the laptop which is running Keyscape:
• Rhodes USB output to Laptop USB
• Laptop Headphone output to Rhodes Suitcase audio input
At 2:00 minutes in the video, the audio switches from micing the Rhodes Suitcase speakers to the direct digital output of the laptop...with just the pure sound of Keyscape.
Keifer is such a sensitive player and it was a joy to hear him audition a variety of sounds from Keyscape. With his recent release of the fantastic “Superbloom” LP, Kiefer is a true force to be reckoned with...check out the record!

@@MovieAddictMitch yes its success would be entirely dependent on how intuitively they design the UI. but it seems like they have a good approach with all their UIs this far. customizable yet not overly complicated. they know that all their users care about the sound before anything
Imagine taking this back to the '70s, '80s and blowing the minds of people. No, this is not a Rhodes, it is anything you want it to be. The CIA would probably want to stop you for this "supercomputer advancement".
This demo blew my mind. A MIDI'ed Fender Rhodes playing Spectrasonics Keyspace through the Fender Rhodes. Too much internet or just enough?

i know, right? Next thing you know they will have a microphone that will have you talk into it and then into the computer and have it send the processed signal to you vocal chords and out your mouth so your voice sounds like stereo effects.
But then it will also let other people speak into the same microphone and have it go to your vocal chords and out your mouth so your voice speaks other people’s voices.

I spent $2,800 on a new macbook pro 16 just for this man! this is the future for musicians. Keyscape upright piano, mks,rhodes just to name a few, like cory henry said in the keyscape introduction video it's over man, keyscape best in class.

Eric has given us almost unthinkable realities through his ingenuity and creative skills as an accomplished musician, engineer and scientist! I can't even fathom having had something of this caliber back when I was coming up actually playing these physical instruments. I'm still stunned every time I call up both factory and my own patches in Keyscape, Omnisphere and Trilian. Constant inspiration every time! Thank you Eric Persing!!

@@SpectrasonicsVIDEO hi, I also use keyscape and it is very nice. If I play live with Keyscape, the sound is coming from my laptop, and that has a little bit delay. I was wondering if there is any way to make the sound of Keyscape coming out of my piano, without delay.

Eric's sounds are here to stay. And that's very hard to archive in the ever so fast changing software industry. Look at Trilogy for instance. It's a very old plugin and you still can't find a better sounding plugin for bass. You don't pay for spectrasonic products, you invest in it.
Honestly, this is not just a Sample Library, this people of Spectrasonics have made ART in the form of Sample Libraries, the fundamental elements to connect with the music you want to portrait, the Keyscape software just allow you to feel it. My congratulations to all the team of Spectrasonics, you really nailed with this product in a way that is difficult to achieve to anybody else!.

Keyscape has a unique depth to the sound, the sounds are so good, that i could eat them with ice cream and waffles.

I don't know what ad/Da converters they use to sample keyscape instruments but not even electronic high end keyboards synthesizer sounds does not come close keyscape sounds better than electronic keyboards cost tens of thousands of dollars
I cant tell you how much i relate to the guy coming up smiling ear to ear telling him how it works and pulling the classic "ok ill shut up and leave and let you do your thing" as soon as dude starts playing
I met up with Kiefer for a lesson a few years ago and we were discussing gear. After telling him about my Fender Rhodes, he said you should always stick with analog gear cause it’s better. I think Keyscape is one of the only exceptions when it comes to digital gear for me.
Legendary sounds, astonishing dynamic range
There are so many players that are amazing, but no matter how many chords they play, it's the 'Touch' that really makes you feel the emotion in the song or loop. Kiefer has a majestic touch on the keys, that many don't have. Deffo one of my favourite players.
I never expected to be lost in time. I'm so thankful for hearing this unique melodic style
You know you've got the real shit when you trigger virtual Rhodes via playing on the actual Instrument!

What a sound! Thar last piano tone was my favorite. It's unbelievable how much it captures the tone of a real acoustic piano. That thick bright tone with extra lasting sustain.

To be fair, some of what Kiefer is playing in this demo is NOT just “stuff he threw together”. They are real melodies from different beats he’s played over the years.

Had all your products from the beginning keep up the good work
I want to add to the several other commenters desiring to see a stand alone hardware keyboard with these sounds. UNLIKE THE OTHER COMMENTERS, I'd love to see a stand alone hardware keyboard not only with all these exceptional sounds, but NO WORKSTATION!! NO SEQUENCERS,!! NO SAMPLING CAPABILITIES!! All money, time, and effort goes into the sounds for LIVE PERFORMANCE!! Just incredible editable sounds that can be upgraded.
I wonder what goes through people’s minds that are this good at playing piano. I’m decent and definitely have a ton of room to grow, wish I coulda started in childhood.
