  • I decided to build water rocket that will fly up to 100m with onboard camera and recovery system. Video shows building process and first flights.
    Specs:
    Volume: 7,5L
Target pressure: at least 6 bar
    Height: 166 cm
    Weight: 510g

Great build and video! I have a question though, which glue/adhesive did you use to splice the bottles together?

Nice flights, and a great video! Sorry to see the crash there at the end. Consider using braided nylon line for your shock cord, that should hold up for higher speed deploys. Best of luck with the rebuild and higher pressure launches.

Thanks George! I'm glad you like the video :) First of all, you need to know, that you and your videos inspired me to build these rockets - years ago! As for the shock cord, I already bought right one for next flights, however, the main reason for breaking the shock cord - was too late activation of the recovery system, because the rocket flew much lower than expected - and the timer was set for different altitude. I "hope" it will fly again soon :)
