Vodia tutorial and connecting to an EDC engine

Hello, finally got my computer. How do I make one of those adapter cables to go from the vodia unit to my TAMD74edc?

Hey what manual is that in the video? Is there a digital copy?

It's not a manual, it's the VODIA software- you'd have to be a Volvo dealer to download it and license it. Now, there could be aftermarket or bootleg stuff available, but since I work for a marine dealer I use the factory stuff.

I meant the book you were flipping through in the video that showed the ecu, wiring for it, swapping procedure, etc.

@@paulpalmeri5808 OH! That book is the group 30 electrical manual for the TAMD71 series. Do not know if it is available as a free online download. This video was actually made to show a co worker how to connect to one of those engines.

Where did you find the adapter cable for the edc?

It's available from Volvo Penta, but if you're handy with soldering and pins it would not be impossible to make your own.

@@Jethrosgarage ok, do you know the part number? Or which pins that is for + and- from battery and to white resp bl/white in the diagnos connector?
In sweden Vodia is only available for authorised Volvo dealers..
