    Awesome tutorial! Is there a non alcoholic substitute instead of using soju? Would water suffice?

      Hi @Nemesis, yes water is enough. I just used the soju to enhance the flavor. Happy cooking 😊

    Great video 💯 is there any substitute for rice syrup???

    • @LadyBugKitchen
      @LadyBugKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Avriti, You can substitute honey, maple syrup, honey, or barley malt syrup. Reduce the measurement to about one-fourth the amount of rice syrup. Hope this helps. Have a great day and happy cooking! 😊

      @@LadyBugKitchen great question as i don't know if i can access and definitely can't afford to buy ingredients like rice flour and soju. so a recipe i found said add honey to replace that. does that change the taste and the texture that you don't get to experience the full authentic of what a honey biscuit that Jang Uk likes to eat?

      @bluemoon6300 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@amandalouiseharleycordialb7629 If you replace it with honey to replace that the texture and flavour will change slightly. But as long as you can add honey and ginger the taste should be very similar. Hope it helps! Also you could replace soju with water.

    Quick question: where did you get your mold? 🌼

    • @LadyBugKitchen
      @LadyBugKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Vivi, I bought it online. It's called a mooncake mold press, and this molder is much cheaper than the actual Yakgwa mold. I hope this helps. Happy cooking! 😊😊😊

    What can I use as a substitute for the sake/ soju? I don’t want any alcohol in it. Would it taste the same without?

      @@LadyBugKitchen these are great questions and found your channel since finding a recipe, they didn't say anything about Jang Uk and this is what i was after a recipe like he eats. I was wondering as researching Soju is alcholic and i don't know if we have it
      or if it even is the same in Australia, in my town of Mount Gambier and i don't have the money so its good to know we can substitute the soju with water. But does it change the flavour and goodness and taste of what Jang Uk would experience?
