Vanilla always helps baked stuff smell great and does enhance sweetness without having to add more sugar. Brandy can be skipped, yes. I wouldn't skip vanilla since it's flavour profile is in a completely different zone from orange.

Hi @Barbra you're right, 1tsp usually equates to 5g, and 1tbsp is 15g, which is the same as three teaspoons. The error occurred because the original recipe was in grams, where 2tsp weighs 10g. Thanks a ton for pointing this out, I have now corrected it!

The recipe shows 2 tsp baking powder as 1 Tablespoon but I thought "3" teaspoons of baking powder equals 1 Tablespoon, can you please clarify.
