In the 90's Fiberspar marketed the Freeskate similar board but no foot straps on the deck. It could be pumped onto plane in five mph of wind. We generally did laydown jibes to turn around. The difficulty was finding a frozen lake with no snow on the surface.
Thanks for the visit, we got really lucky this year in MSP with a couple different freezes and thaws, lots of fresh ice - most winters it's covered pretty quick with snow, then we take out skis and kites or Wings if enoiugh wind. Laters!
