Well, as the resident of Nizhniy Novgorod i can say that Christmas ( Stroganov ) church is my very favorite one. It is called Stroganov church because it was built at the expense of a NN merchant Stroganov who made this gift to the city. He died early and his widow finished the work after him . The name of the street was taken from this church in fact as it was the main attraction then .
Wow! That’s my favorite too. Thanks for this crucial addition to the video. By the way, I haven’t uploaded the video about nightlife in Nizhny Novgorod yet. I might want to ask for your help with some information, and I hope you’ll respond. Thanks a lot!
About the monument to Minin and Pozharskiy , we have one more monument to Kozma Minin right on the Minin square. In fact the monument to Minin and Pozharskiy belongs to NN much more to NN because this is the place where Peoples Militia happened , and where the Noble prince Pozharskiy and a very simple peasant Minin united both nobility and simple people against Polish intervention. And they had their meetings at the walls of Nizhniy Novgorod Kremlin. We have lots of places ( university, srreets , etc) dedicated to Minin . The simple man who saved the world of Russia then in those times. ❤
Thanks a lot, Lidia, for this wonderful insight. I was really curious about it because I couldn’t find much information about it online. By the way, your city is so beautiful and well kept. I think I lost 5 kilograms climbing those stairs!)) Thanks again. I appreciate it so much. 🙏
that is normal. 😆 pity you haven't been in the park Switzerland. It is huge in fact. Very modern and you can find anything there , even squirrels who would eat from your hands. 😉 after having proven your good intentions towards them of course 😄😄😄

Transportation system here is quite extensive and widely used by the masses. For example, the metro system is one of the best, if not the best, in the world, while the buses cover most essential routes. When compared to the transportation systems of other countries I’ve visited, I find the Russian system to be superior.
@@user-4real Great. Now tell it to russians, they seems unaware of what they did 😛 Could you also name a few "other", preferably most developed countries, you've been at?
@@williamblake7386that resentment is mostly due to the fact that in some cities, mostly in the small ones, the transportation situation is pretty dire.
