Many viewers believe that this list is not about muscle cars. Can you help me rename this video?
Worse muscle cars and super cars of the 90s(plus wannabe performance cars)
Change that, just bad cars of the 90s
@@bajaboy27 yes, thank you.
These aren't muscle cars, rename it to "Grocery Getters"
I like “Performance Pretenders”
@@aircooledhead great idea.
These are 'muscle cars'?? Also the T-100, while slow is one of the most reliable pickup trucks ever sold. I'd take it over ANYTHING the domestics offer
I'm sorry for that. I hope you continue to watch my videos.
I'd stay away from GM and Dodge pickups, but the F150 has an excellent reliability history.
@@sponk2112 Depends (mostly) on the engine .... as someone who worked in the automotive repair industry, some of the Ford engines/transmissions were anything but reliable (see HD from 2004-2008), but out of the domestics, they are the ONLY real choice if you depend on it for a living
Good luck finding one
@@DaveMcIntyre Yeah, in general the V8s are the ones to choose; they're tried and true. The Ecoboost this and twin-turbo that...great when they're working but overcomplicated and overworked. Just begging for long-term problems. Just wish they still offered a manual transmission, but that's a pipe dream at this point. The Tacoma still does, which was almost enough incentive for me to choose that instead.
Do y'all even know what a muscle car is? this is dumb!
Ikr I said the same thing. None of these are muscle

I would take a clean T100 in a heartbeat. Underneath the mislaid scorn was an excellent truck, especially if you needed a little more than a Hilux in size. ❤
Have you ever driven that car?
@@qmusclecars Yes! My cousin owned one for over a decade. When I needed something bigger than my Hilux, I would borrow his T100. Only reason he sold it was because he and his wife had a little girl. Only reason I didn’t buy it was because by then I had both a kid and a Tahoe.

My then girlfriend, now wife,at the time traded in my 92 Ford Taurus SHO all black with the ShoPlus Package for a base Plymouth Breeze....
She called me while I was working and she sounded soo excited, she said that the car she was gonna get was better this that blah blah blah...i had to get back to work at Albertsons grocery store so i said YES.
I was devastated. About a year later from that i was in the junkyard in Holly Hill Florida and discovered my SHO up in the racks....was 100% my car and 75%ish intact.

@qmusclecars The Plymouth Breeze without question. I positively hated that car....I'm 42 now but back then I didn't know just how special that particular Taurus was/is. Now I know and I've never seen another as equipped...I know they are out there but rare. Plus that Breeze was just a poor performer in all disciplines other than basic comfort. Well, there's the x90. Fortunately, the disaster that was our upside down trade for the Cirrus, had put us in a position to where we "thankfully" basically got laughed out of a Suzuki dealership. Ex Gf had a 96 Mercery Sable and a 3.0L DOHC V6. It was the first year of OBD2 in production. There was 10- 1/8" vacuum lines in that system, all of which would dry out and leak slightly every 3 months. Rebuilt the engine after the water pump propellor broke and the computer shut the car off.
Still to this day you need to go to Ford to buy any replacement head gaskets or important bolts. Autozone said that DOHC engine was only put in 14% of all Taurus or Sable, so they never stocked many parts for it. If Ford even have those parts left. I rebuilt it in 2005; it was using 2 quarts of oil every month I figured may as well tear into it, the parts was free from her Dad, parts manager at a Ford dealer.... $266 for a camshaft. No cam bushings so if anything happened to the cam or cam journal it was $1500 per head. Had to be taken out from under the car. The firewall extended over half of the intake/throttle body of the V6. Head the size of a 351C 8" into the firewall....
Do you own a muscle car?
Like all the vids man
Thank you very much.
“Wary of the market pushback of competing directly with the Big Three, Toyota chose this somewhat smaller size (and limited lineup) so as not to risk blowback and import quotas. The T100 was designed and engineered for the North American market and was not sold in Japan.”
This is why the T100 was not a direct competitor to the big 3 at the time, especially given that it was their first “full-size” pickup at the time
Thanks for your information. Hope you continue to watch my videos.
They also had plans to release an actual proper full-size truck as a successor called the T150, but at the time they faced scrutiny and threats of lawsuits from Ford, given the similarities in the name to Ford F-150 name, and so they changed the name to Tundra when it hit production.
I skipped through the whole thing to see all the muscle cars when I seen the first one 😂🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
If it wasn't too strict, it could still be called a muscle car, right?

A man goes to a scrapyard and says I'm looking for a hubcap for a Lada.
The scraper says sounds like a fair trade.
How do you double the price of a Lada?
Add a tank of gas.
A man walks into a Lada dealership and says I want a refund.
I drove my new Lada up that hill and couldn't get past fifty.

What do you folks classify the Buick Grand National?
The platform is too small for a muscle car of the Seventies and did not come with a monstrous v8 high displacement engine. Not a super car. Certainly a performance model. That existed in the middle 1980's. A 911 is no muscle car but will blow the doors of a charger.

Never liked the Tempo or Taurus in nineties. Probably because at 6`3 I couldn't get behind the wheel.
However the next gen SHO police special made Robocop more accurate. I give Ford credit for that
yes, that’s right
The 1990s Cutlass Supreme is a laughingstock compared to its predecessor 81 through 88. First off the G-Body platform is probably one of the best overall platforms ever that GM came with even if they were grossly underpowered from the factory plenty of tuners corrected the factory mistakes but there's not much that could be done with the w body gutless Cutlass being front-wheel drive about the best option one could do would be to put a 3800 under the hood and it will at least have respectable performance numbers even naturally aspirated....
The X-90 was Golf cart with doors and less power !
yes

Pucture this: Miami, 1997, 11th grade.(1st day, 2nd half of school year) Our driver's ed class met at a 4 row stadium seating outsidd, 2 coaches did 15-20min of hillarious interactive staged class, then divided the group, the other half to a trailer.
They us be really carefull, we had a small space to drive around & really horrible cars w the worst imaginable crash testing, no radio. No a/c. So, dont blame the car. But be carefull. The other one, while pointing at it says you drive a Porsche 911(baby blue1984. He specifically always parked it there) & they'll be driving a 1995 Chevy Cavalier.
Great. Thank you for watching my video. I believe your love for muscle cars is still intact. Please continue to watch my videos.
Great video, can't wait for the next one.
Yeah, many thanks bro.
I had a 99 Taurus and i loved it. I would get another one.
Do you still have your car?
15:50 The obvious purpose of the basket handle (AKA rollbar) was to keep the car from crushing the passenger's necks in a rollover. Whether or not it was required, I'd feel safer driving a convertible with one than without one. I believe some car makers have devised rollbars that popup just as the car is about to roll, so the car won't look dorky in normal use.
Have you ever driven that car?
I actually Love that basket handle look. That was one of the Best looking Oldsmobiles of the 90's. If I had to choose between the Cutlass and LeBaron convertibles, I'd have to think about it.
I like how the video description say worst muscle cars but never seen muscle cars 😂😂😂

You should have just said “Worst Cars of the 90s “ because this inaccurate title is Click Bait
Thanks so much.
I still love T-100, Would love to build a Dulie and even Overbuild a Class 8 style (Private Use not-for hire 5th wheel)

Never saw one of those Jaguars on the road, so NOPE! The Ford Taurus, a total load of garbage. What's next? Plymouth Breeze, yes, I remember. Typical junk from Chrysler, what else is new, a K-Car. The Toyota T100 was a reliable truck, just hated that rubber-band style cam-belt though. Most manufacturers used belts back then. The truck ran stronger with the V6, than most of the domestic V8 trucks. Then when the V8 Tundra came out, WOW! All the American built pickup truck owners ran crying for Mommy! The FORD Taurus copied the AUDI 5000s, without the quality. My Mom's old boyfriend bought one of those Tauruses in 1990. Within a month of ownership, the steering wheel literally came off in his hands as he was driving the car! FORD Quality is JOB #1! The Cadilac Citation! Enough said. Dodge Vans were of low quality, but that was always the care as far as DODGE is concerned. But relatively reliable for American junk. SAABs are slobs! The Civic Del Sol was the disco version of the Honda Civic CRX. It became a Girl's Car. However, it was a good reliable car, just looked so Disco! The Chevy Cavalier was a cheap Chevy for everyone. It wasn't a great car, but it went from point A to B. That's about it. You could buy a Japanese car for the same price, and had a better car. Hyundai/KIA back then were really bad. The End. Olds Cute-less, really a poor design. This car for midlife crisis old men and women that couldn't afford a luxury performance Euro-car. The Toyota Previa, a good vehicle, but was expensive and slow, like most vehicles back then. Nissan Sentra, typical Nissan. Datsun was good, Nissan was worse. Saturn was an okay, cheap-o car, much like the Cavalier. HUMMER? Why would somebody name a truck after oral-sex? Ugly truck, poor performance, just JUNK! BMW 3-series was a good car, but expensive. You needed to wring the hell out of it to make it go, and this car could handle pretty well. Monte Carlo, funny junk car. What a load! The Mercury Crapee, front wheel drive Miata? No, not quite. It was not as good as a Miata, not as fast, and didn't handle well. Vanagon sucked, much like all VWs since they stopped building the air-cooled engines. JUNK and still junk are VW. FORD Aspire? Enough said. YUGO, from Communist Yugoslavia. This is what Donald Trump wants all American citizens to drive when he becomes dictator of the USA. The YUGO works as good as tRUMP does! X-90 Suzuki was an ugly car, but was quite reliable. Too small, but a good hair-dresser's car. The worst car in this list should be the Donald Trump USA Citizen car, the YUGO for his election in 2024. Thank you.
Thank you for watching my video. Have a good day.
Hey computer, research what a muscle car is. Ya missed it by a mile!!!
You do not confuse? He is human.
I owned a 1995 BMW 318ti for several years. I loved it. It was fun, handled great and was fast. I would buy another if I could find one in good condition.
