Clutch Slave Cylinder - How to replace and bleed/purge the air

This work was done on a Toyota Hiace super GL van. This was done like any true shade tree mechanic would do it. No fancy tools and believe me I wish I had some of mine from Ohio. Even without fancy tools and a nice shop, this can be done correctly and quickly.

In this case I think more comfortable will be just do same as bleeding brakes the "one person method" where you have half full bottle od brake fluid, hose from bleed valve at the very bottom and you just do the "pedal work" by yourself with little bit open bleed valve. Much quicker job

I have the same bottle,mine's coke 😂 this good sir ,jirka87 is right, your bottle being half full with the pipe submerged,helps a whole lot, goodwill to all and to you and your kin.

Thanks for this. I will be installing a new one on my 1st gen tacoma in the morning. Wish you had shown how to make the clear tube with bottle, but I will get by. I came upon this after watching over twenty others that were not very good at all. This will help!

nice content, at 00:44 when you slide the rubber is it normal for the fluid to drain out or if you slide the rubbber there should be no fluid coming out. Because my vigo when i slide the rubber the fluid drip out? Thanks for the video

Seal is bad if it leaks out of the rubber

@@Mac-bn I guess it depends on what car you have. I just did a slave cylinder on my 02 accord 2 days ago, it was really bad for a couple months now, but I just never had the opportunity to fix it (I would have to top off my master cylinder every two weeks that's how bad the leak was).
For my case the entire slave was just 30 bucks at AutoZone, so I did that and just bled it today
