The Rise of Pauline

She is one of gaming's oldest female characters, perhaps the first damsel in distress and a true legend of the Mario series, but Pauline's role in the Mario series has always been oddly defined. She has went from the it-girl to completely forgotten to niche character to now main cast member, judging from high-profile appearances in Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Party Jamboree. Pauline has had a wild journey and today, I wanna look at what I would consider the Mario series' greatest comeback story.
