Glen,, Dione, and the 5th ... on the same stage ... at the same time ...???? Great. I love it.
What needs to be said? Some of the very best singers that molded our music in the 60's and 70's
Took my mom to see Dionne Warwick on Mom's Weekend at Oregon State Univ in 1969 and the following year The Fifth Dimension. I will never forget how happy she was. I was too.

It's great to hear them not only sing together, but also help out on one another songs......Glen Campbell considered this entry into his hit T.V. show the best....and indeed it was.

The 5th sounds great but for some reason Marilyn doesn't look like Marilyn to me in that wig. I think she looks better with long hair.
That's because 99% of the time her entire 60yr career she's worn her Real long beautiful Hair. Her hair complements her beauty.
I've never see her hair like this. It's cute, but I prefer her long hair, too.

60s and 70s variety shows brought the best talent together, singers that would never have performed together otherwise.

Glen Campbell used to be in a group called the Wrecking Crew and they played on more hits then anyone.
I saw GLen in concet around 1976 when i ws 17 at Royal Albert hall. Praise God.
Little did anyone know that there were two future "Solid Gold" hosts on this episode.

Several voices, representing the work of at least three major songwriters, had hits largely backed by the Wrecking Crew as house band in the studio. Together they were the biggest part of contemporary pop and the music that filled the space between Rock, Soul, and Country.
Just incredible!!! I never saw this episode back then, but SO happy to see it now -- thank you!!!!! Love all these musicians so very much!!!
Better times...better world. If you didn't see, feel, be it, it's hard to really understand what amazing times, what a great place this country used to be back then.
The entire medley was lifted to a higher place when Ruth Buzzi decided to stop by to add her vocal stylings at the end!!! Why isn't her name in the title?, she carried everyone else!!

Hamilton, hello! If you mean Ruth Buzzi, yes she was from Laugh-In but wasn't the sock it to me girl (that was Judy Carne).
In addition the the 5th D and Dionne Warwick, Buzzi and John Byner were guests on the show this particular week and it was customary to get all the cast out at the end of the final number which that was on that telecast.
Can I call her the girl who hit dirty old men over the head with her purse in the park or busbench? Give me a break. Its been 50 years.
