- Another one they've derestricted, and probably the best one I've found. This one revs even more than 19823 or 10157, although it might be down to the driver flooring it as we were massively late.
Also downshifts at 1:52 and 5:30.
(thanks to London Buses on the Go for letting me use his photo of 19772. I didn't have the foresight to take my own picture of this.)
This bus was serving route 86 from Romford Station to Stratford.
Operator: Stagecoach London
Fleetnumber: 19826
Registration: LX11BLJ
Chassis: Alexander Dennis Trident
Body: Alexander Dennis Enviro400
Gearbox: Voith 4-speed
What is it with you and E400s and me with DWs 😂
Look at you, enjoying the water.
I see it rained, didn't it?
Oh yes it did. I enjoyed that a lot.
Make a remix of "Food glorious food," why don't you
That's effort
effort is success
10144 10157 19826 & 3 are probs the best E400 Voiths at the moment in the whole of the Stagecoach London fleet
Don't forget 19850
I cant lie LX11BLJ just sticks to lower gears, its not derestricted, its just the engine itself preferring lower gears better
After catching this bus a few times, I was thinking that it wasn't restricted and it has been roaring alot during the last few weeks so I need to aim to catch this bus again.
It is your batch, afterall, and your route. You're kinda lucky. :P
Indeed, I am however 19821 hasnt been squealing that much nowdays. Its basically a roaring bus like the others.
Quite a lot of 208 and 261s buses sound like that, 10153 is one :)
Yeah, a lot of them tend to rev very high when they climb hills, especially the SN63s.
BusesinLondon345 yeah ikr, I love the SN63s though
They are literally the worst buses next to the db300's in service atm, the smart hybrids make the 261 just slightly bearable but the voith gearbox lets it down. a smart hybrid with zf tododyn could be very interesting. The pick of the routes is the 320 with its euro 4 enviro's but the 208's mmc's aren't too bad either..
YoungEngineer162000 I agree with you about the Voith E400s, but not DB300s. DB300s have actual kickdown, they can climb hills and they sound a lot better.
the Enviro 400 Voith are utter shit
