I attempt to capture vehicles being floored, good old buses being withdrawn soon, or ones that sound unusual as a result of being worn out. Sometimes I succeed.

A very nice sounding ex-Bromley Trident new for the 269, that now lives in Kent with this independent operator. From what I'm told, kickdown no longer works (from memory this one never revved that high anyway), but it retains plenty of power, and sounds very good regardless, at any speed! GAL Euro 5 E40Ds are so boring nowadays. I think the 337 batch is the only consistently interesting one

A B7TL that gives you a lot - you get a vocal turbo, gearbox, and axles, and even that "old school" braking sound that I don't think I could properly describe. I was sensing the differential from this, too (not quite the run to get the diff rolling though). Sun glare after 6 minutes, for those who may be sensitive.
Still think 552’s is louder lol

Don’t think that’s the case anymore. The 1/2 were increased in frequency a few months back and interwork all day unlike before
@@EnviroExplorer oh that's just crap. The 1630 100 was always a trident. I had loads absolutely redlined because it was a finish to a duty to they all drove in going home mode.

These are not torque restricted in 1st gear like the euro 5s I guess

Complete lottery I'm afraid - it usually doesn't come out very much on PSV work, and when it does it'll be a Saturday on a Spalding town route or the B13.
